Diana

"You actually respond to that name princess?" he asked.

"No. I was just caught off guard. Who are you?" I asked playing dumb.

He looked me up and down a few times and said "I knew you were too pretty to be a penny girl*." Did he just suggest that I could've been a penny girl?! Ok...

After a few akward moments of silence a very lively song started playing, Simon seemed to know it. He turned to me, held out his hand in a very gentleman like way "May I have this dance?"

Well... how could I say no to charming Simon. "I don't know how to dance" I told him as I put my hand in his, "That's ok, I'll lead!" he answered a little too excitedly. I had a bad feeling about this.

We got on the dance floor and started a most curious fashioned dance, it was like tango and the jig put together in one dance, the steps were difficult but that was not the worst. Oh no no no no, the song lasted for an HOUR! That's right ladies and gentlemen! A very peculiar, complicated dance that took all your breath in just a minute lasted an hour. Talk about being sore the next day.

After the song ended I was the only one on the dance floor hyperventilating, these people sure are damn fit for the old fashioned type. A few more songs and the party would be done. I decided to get a drink and lay down to relax the rest of the time until I heard one fimilar song... 'Down the River.' no way, this was one of my Orphanages favorite dancing songs. I got on the dance floor and was paired with a boy younger than me, I was later introduced to him as my cousin. I must say that the song lasted a long time with hundreds of people, and I thought the last dance was long.

Things had begun to settle down as people left the palace, I caught sight of Simon "Which kingdom are you from?" I asked. He smiled and said "I'll tell you next Saturday at the pub that we met at. Goodbye, Diana." He made sure to add sarcasm to the name Diana.

After bidding everybody goodbye I trudged to my room and barely made it to my bed without passing out.

(*Penny girl is an old term for prostitute)
