Okay so, i was searching for a kingdom building story, and i stumbled on this. There are 2 arcs/books for this story, and the feeling i got is that book 2 is an improved Book 1 after the author decided to scrap Book 1 and go again. For now there isn't really a kingdom building taking place, but the elements of it are there so i feel like giving it some time and it will come. If you only want to focus on the kingdom building theme you're probably better of jumping straight for Book 2, but Book 1 got a great character focused story, which gets me to my point, what really differenciates this story from others is this focus, which is really well done, and makes me want to see the characters evolution. So yeah keep up the good work, it can become a great story.
I enjoyed this for a little while. Then the author starting mucking about in time without explaining things well, including time/place, dream/not, cause/effect with jumps that make it hard to follow events. I'm stopping here due to the fact that any semblance of original plot is gone and the ability to understand what's going on is impossible. There needed to be more information, background, or interactions to know what's happening. At some point the portal event jumps forward like 6 months with no explanation followed by random deus ex machina fixing hard points.
@ChuYang Hello i just read the chapter where you were explaining about going on an hiatus. I hope you are feeling better. Thanks for the explanations, i was a little confused as to why the author wanted to save people so much, why he had a hero complex etc. And i realize that the root cause is deeper than i thought. I feel from reading the book and your explanation is that you are someone that loves too much, that care too much etc. YOU ARE NOT SUPERMAN. It is not your job to fix others, the world etc. It is actually a little narcissitic to think you have the obligation to save your family. There is that book called "Women who love too much" that illustrate abused women and the psychology behind it. And your character and you love too much. You can lead a horse to the water but not make him drink. Even jesus wasn't loved by everyone, even hated. Not even considered by is own family but more respected by outsiders. The only thing you can do is be there when your loved ones need help, to lead by example. Just remember that you are loved.

When you read a novel, you experience different emotions and it pulls you out into a separate world. That's at least the reason why I love to read. I've read a lot of different stories by now, and I think it's fair to say that I've become quite good at evaluating novels. Sometimes a novel is simply garbage and you wish that you hadn't started it, but sometimes it is so good that you already know it's about to be an epic adventure in the first chapter. This novel is the latter. It took me one chapter to realize that it was a masterpiece, and it took me the second chapter to write the first review of my life. I hope you guys enjoy this story as much as I know I will.
