20 Rich Girl Thingz

Feng Jiao pointed at the bank lady haughtily.

"You. Go check my balance and tell me. I want to hear it now. If it takes more than five minutes your boss will be hearing about the whole ordeal I just went through!" Feng Jiao snarled in a manner that she didn't know she could snarl in.

Heck, she didn't know she could snarl at all.

It wasn't a skill she had gotten to use often, or at all, but Feng Jiao decided that she was going to hone this skill. It was really cool after all.

But unknowingly, she was straying further and further from her original goal of becoming someone gentle and cute, not fierce and savage.

The banklady had no choice but to obey Feng Jiao, since it was true that she was the one who had unnecessarily caused trouble. Sure, calling bullshit wasn't a big thing, but calling the cops? With no proof to back herself up?

That was just plain ridiculous.

As the cops left, and gave Feng Jiao a bow as they did, the bank lady got up pitifully and headed to the back of the room to fetch a new computer. She didn't dare call any of the interns audaciously in fear that she would tick Feng Jiao off even worse.

All she could do was drag her feet and struggle. There was the slightest bit of hope in her dirty smelly heart, that someone would take pity on her and then confront Feng Jiao, but in her dirty smelly brain, she knew that no one was going to bother.

'That kid is a poor fool either way. How much money could a mortician even have? I'm going to open this account and see a total of like three dollars. I shouldn't fight poor kids. They don't know any better than to fight people better than them.'

The bank lady smugly thought to herself. Her confidence was simply astounding.

She was just a bank worker, where she seemed to get the airs of some sort of noble and rich person that was somehow better than a poor person, was a mystery indeed.

But Feng Jiao was not poor.

In fact, if Feng Jiao were to rob the werewolves she took out, she would be the richest person on earth. The combined net worth of the targets she killed was in the trillions, and all of their money was repossessed by the government.

That was the money that the government would pay the hitmen and the agency from. There was no loss for the government, and Feng Jiao got her share too.

Thus Feng Jiao would be a middle class young miss, if not a rich young miss or super rich young miss.

The bank lady had no reason or way to be hating Feng Jiao, but she would find that out in a not so sweet way.

"Forty million dollars! What sort of money embezzling is that kid up to!" the bank lady looked at the card details from the main bank laptop and then leaped up in surprise.

She contemplated calling the cops again, but she knew better this time around.

She didn't want this to end in another round of humiliation for her. That would be just terrible. And seeing as all the payments in the card seemed to have come from a government ID number, it was unlikely that it was embezzlement.

On top of that, the bank hadn't flagged a single of the eighty, five hundred thousand dollar payments. That was yet another sign that whatever she was doing was legitimate and not at all fraudulent.

The bank almost always flagged payments that were above four thousand dollars, but here it hadn't even flagged her payment of five hundred thousand dollars. It was either a glitch of epic proportions, or not a glitch at all.

And since it had happened a sum total of eighty times, it was obvious that it wasn't a glitch.

The bank lady would be even more astonished if she were to find out that this card wasn't Feng Jiao's only card. The agency had a separate sum that they paid her as well.

The five hundred thousand payments were straight from the government, as a sort of life insurance payment to the agent taking up the task. Feng Jiao's actual cut of her missions was in a different bank account.

After all, wouldn't it be far too stingy if the government was getting someone killed and also getting trillions of dollars, and not even paying the agents who were carrying out the mission a good sum?

On top of that, the missions were so very risky that if agents were to quit, there would be no way for the government to find new ones. No one wanted to risk their lives for a small salary after all.

Agents who could kill rogue alphas, let alone rogue dominant alphas, were hard to come across.

While there were only a thousand or so dominant alphas in the country, the chance of them going rogue was far too high for the government to handle on their own. And now they only had Feng Jiao to kill them, since Feng Jiao's master had retired.

Feng Jiao could definitely retire now too and never have to work again, but she quite enjoyed her purging job, since she had a deep and vast hatred for alphas.

And bank ladies, now.

"So how much is it?" Feng Jiao snapped her fingers to catch the bank lady's attention, as the lady stared off into the distance in a daze, rethinking her life's choices.

"Forty million dollars…" she whispered to Feng Jiao in despair.

Why had she become a bank worker when morticians are paid this well? She could only lament internally as Feng Jiao giggled at the amount.

Feng Jiao was rich now.

She had been rich all along, but now she knew she was rich. It was all coming into place.

Soon. Very soon.
