29 Feng Jiao Ponders Life After Doing Inappropriate Things

By the time Feng Jiao had wrapped her head around what Gao Longwei's sexuality could be, she had hit her maximum brain power point.

This was the point at which Feng Jiao would helplessly shut down, and be unable to answer any sort of question, or process any sort of information. She had reached it extra quickly because of what had just happened, and because of how tired she was.

She had touched something that wasn't meant to be touched by her.

It made sense that she would be an absolute wreck without the faintest idea of what to do about it. It wasn't like she could un-touch that thing.

Feng Jiao desperately tried wiping that memory out of her head as she spaced out.

She stared at the wall blankly as if she was possessed by the Mona Lisa, except a very depressed looking Mona Lisa. Feng Jiao's mental state was a wreck after all.

Now all the embarrassment was starting to flood in.

She had so confidently said that Gao Longwei had to be gay. She had so confidently thought that Gao Longwei liked his secretary instead. She had so confidently decided to 'inform' Gao Longwei of his own sexuality.

'What the heck was I thinking!' Feng Jiao wailed, finally moving out of her frozen spot, only to yank on her hair like a madwoman.

It was her way of punishing herself for the great stupidity she had shown. The more she thought of it, the more ridiculous it seemed. Feng Jiao really didn't know what had possessed her into trying to do what she was trying to do.

She recalled Gao Longwei's stunned, speechless face from when she told him he was 'gay' and felt like slapping herself. It was simply a miracle that Gao Longwei didn't just pack up and call the deal with the house off.

Feng Jiao knew that she probably would've done that herself.

If someone was to come up to her and challenge her about things she knew were false, Feng Jiao was the kind to stab them, thirty six times in the belly and one time in the head for good measure. She was a petty, vengeful young lady.

Feng Jiao contemplated for a few minutes about why Gao Longwei hadn't stabbed her.

It simply didn't make sense to the chronic stabber, why wouldn't someone stab her when she was being obnoxious?

Feng Jiao had never been taught that the right way to express her feelings of dissatisfaction wasn't exactly stabbing. Sure, stabbing did the job, but it wasn't exactly inappropriate, was it?

Feng Jiao didn't care about inappropriate and appropriate things until it directly troubled her. She wasn't the kind to think things through very deeply.

Many people had described Feng Jiao as a scatterbrain and ever so slightly dim. While part of that could be blamed on Feng Jiao's lack of early education, most of it was in her nature. She was probably born doing things without thinking.

But for the first time in forever, she was thinking deeply about something, and it was a man at that. It was simply a miracle combined with a miracle.

The more Feng Jiao thought about Gao Longwei, the nicer his face seemed in her mind. She didn't know if she was making it more handsome out of delusion, or she was simply noticing features she had missed before.

His image had cemented itself into her head. She wasn't able to get him out.

It was a habit from her agency work. One could never forget the face of a target when on a mission after all. And the wild dominant alphas were the kind who would disguise themselves to escape from killers and what not else. People like Feng Jiao to put it short.

But Feng Jiao had long mastered the art of analyzing people's gaits, builds and rather distinct features. She could recognize people even in disguise.

But Gao Longwei, he had every single feature that Feng Jiao liked in a man.

The rugged feeling of dominance, with the aura of a CEO. The chiseled face that was effortlessly cool. And even the little birthmarks placed in areas that highlighted his features.

He was simply Feng Jiao's type through and through.

Feng Jiao hadn't even realized that her type was something like that until meeting Gao Longwei.

She had thought that she would be fine with any decent looking man who she loved, and loved her back. Like a romance novel. She didn't want to think of removing people from the list of people that she would and wouldn't date.

Not that she had ever had that problem before.

But she was going to have a problem now. There was no way to avoid it. She hadn't realized just yet, but when she would she was going to have some trouble.

It was going to take her snapping out of her daze, and it eventually happened.

When Feng Jiao finally snapped out of her daze of thoughts, she looked at the sky through the sliding glass doors that opened up into a garden. She hadn't really paid much attention to that bit, but now that the room was getting dark, she had no other choice.

It was dark. The sun had long set.

Feng Jiao was supposed to be home by 5. That was the latest point she could explain without getting into much trouble. But now looking at the sky, it was definitely past 8.

It was practically night, and Feng Jiao had no explanation for why she would have to stay that late. She had no choice but to sneak back to the agency and try not to get caught.

She had spent so much time just sitting there in a daze that she hadn't realized what time it was. She had even considered rushing Gao Longwei through her gay explanation to get back in time, but here she was, still in the house, with no explanation for it.

"Oh shit, I'm late" she swore.
