16 Feng Jiao Attends School?!?!!?

Feng Jiao quietly entered the school, and hoped desperately that her friends wouldn't see her in her ugly uniform. They would probably be wearing the same thing but it was the thought that counted. Feng Jiao didn't want to be seen in what she was wearing.

Who would?

Especially since she had often made a loud fuss about how ugly the uniform was, and how she would never be caught dead wearing it. It was somewhat counter productive, but it was how Feng Jiao functioned.

"Hey, Jiao Jiao! What's with you coming to school-" Mo Ting laughed from behind her, "Wait- You're in uniform!"

Feng Jiao leaped forward and instantly covered his mouth with her hands. She looked furious and Mo Ting knew better than to get on her bad side. A little more pushing and she would throw him out of the school and into busy traffic.

"Shush! I don't want anyone to see me like this!" she hissed before swinging her bag at Mo Ting wildly, with the aggression of a large male gorilla trapped in the body of a 5'2 little lady in uniform. Mo Ting was used to this so he ducked.

Feng Jiao was also used to him ducking so she attacked him right back.

This tussle of hitting and ducking went on for a solid ten minutes before the principal showed up. Feng Jiao and Mo Ting's fighting instantly came to a halt as they spotted him, and the principal stopped to look at them too.

He scanned the two of them, who were standing in an uncomfortable and unnatural position, just a few seconds away from striking and dodging, and then realized what exactly he had been looking at for the past few seconds.

"Feng Jiao? Is that you Feng Jiao? Really? How come-" the principal's mouth was wide open with shock and he simply couldn't contain it.

It was surprising enough to see Feng Jiao at school, and here she was, on time, in perfect uniform, and carrying not one, but two bags. She was probably bringing her textbooks to school for the first time. For things to go into her locker, she had to move them there.

The principal had already praised her to the high heavens on the day she had last shown up, so it wasn't surprising that he was getting emotional looking at her in uniform.

He had tried so hard to get Feng Jiao to do this, and here she was.

"I want to become a new person. I want to have my attendance noted from now onward." Feng Jiao gave the principal a shaky smile that seemed very modest and humble.

The principal couldn't help but wonder about what had caused Feng Jiao to turn over a new leaf. She wasn't the kind with much of a conscience, and here she was talking about all of this nonsense of becoming a new person.

The principal quickly realized that he was being far too cynical, and even harsh, on Feng Jiao. Perhaps she really did want to change.

The principal made up his mind to ask the boss of the werewolf hunting agency about what had happened to Feng Jiao. Something life altering must have happened to Feng Jiao for her to have come to school.

However, Feng Jiao wasn't exactly being a good kid by coming.

Something life altering had indeed happened.

Or it was about to happen.

Till then, the principal patted Feng Jiao on the head and straightened out her braids while he was at it. With a kind smile he finally replied.

"Work hard. You have great potential. Live up to it."

Feng Jiao nodded before sprinting inside the building without looking back at the principal. She was starting to feel guilty after all the praise she'd received from all the people in her life. It was like each of them knew her plans and were calculating based on that.

It was enough to spook Feng Jiao, but not stop her.

She sat in class for a good twenty minutes. It was all staring into the textbooks she hadn't stuffed into her locker, and then eventually dozed off.

It wasn't that she was comfortable on the desk, but it was really enough when she was in class, Class was painfully boring, to the point where it was torturous.

But as soon as teacher Wu entered the class, she stood up to greet him along with the students as if reinvigorated. She yelled out the greeting along with the other students before sitting down with a thud. It was over.

Her long wait was over.

Teacher Wu was finally there to save her. It was done, over, finished.

The first thing teacher Wu was supposed to do was to take attendance. That was at least what Feng Jiao was told. But to Feng Jiao's great horror, teacher Wu began pulling out his textbook instead. Without taking attendance he began the lecture for the first class.

Feng Jiao was bored out of her mind. She had completely forgotten about the morning's events, and now only had one thing on her mind. That was executing her mission.

It wasn't a mission from the werewolf hunting agency, it was personal, special and far more important to her than shooting in the head of any random werewolf.

Sure, shooting werewolves was fun, but it wasn't important to her. It definitely kept her occupied and rich, but that wasn't going to cut it. It was time for her to work for herself. This was her life, not the werewolf agency's life.

She snoozed through the class, and finally the point she had been waiting for came.

"Okay students, answer your attendance!" teacher Wu called out.

"Feng Jiao? You're here?" teacher Wu was surprised as he wrote her name down. The desks were in the order of roll number so once he got to Feng Jiao's he looked at her.

"Yes yes! Hi, bye gotta go!" Feng Jiao yelled as soon as she confirmed teacher Wu had written down her name. Now that that was done she sprinted out of the room as fast as she could.

She was free!
