2 Compensation? Failed. Murder? Not Attempted.

It must be said that as a professional werewolf hunter, Feng Jiao was practically unkillable. If a mere car could take her down, she would've died a couple thousand times by now. Was an angry dominant werewolf not a hundred times stronger than a measly car?

Of course, you must be wondering why exactly she had allowed the car to hit her.

The answer is: she hadn't. The car got right next to her, and at the speed it was coming at, it was hard even for a literal ninja to avoid.

Hard but not impossible.

It took careful precision to maneuver herself to miss the car. Films could only pray to create such perfect action stunts. Feng Jiao would've made a fantastic acting double.

Too bad she was only 5'2.

No action heroine was that height. They were always slim and gorgeous women. Never short women, no matter how pretty. All of them had to be literal supermodels.

Feng Jiao had wanted to be a stunt double for quite some time but she'd always been turned down by actresses. She was very pretty too, delicate and finely crafted with the perfect body ratios but it was never enough. She couldn't be a stunt double.

So she had to do the stunts alone. So she wouldn't die of course.

Feng Jiao had rotated herself to be a couple inches away when the car had stopped, narrowly missing the car. She had touched the car, or actually slapped her hand down on the car with full force to slow herself, but she definitely hadn't been hit.

So pray tell, why was the ninja on the floor like a pitiful child?

To put it simply, she had fallen over her own feet.

Sure, it wasn't very dignified, but Feng Jiao had never once been dignified in her life. Pride? Pftt! She had none of that. Pride is for the rich and powerful.

Despite having no pride at all, Feng Jiao had self respect. Once she had fallen it would be embarrassing to get right back up and say "oops I tripped." She would rather play it off and maybe get some compensation in the process.

So she lay on the floor, her eyes shut tight, too tight to make her attempt at looking unconscious realistic. With her laying in the middle of the road, one would think that a crowd would form, but it was completely empty. There was no noise either.

She took a tiny little peek to check if anyone had noticed that she'd fallen.

Sure enough, there was a voice heard from behind her. It was a manly and deep voice. It had a musky feel to it, and Feng Jiao couldn't help but think of what a fantastic cologne his voice would make if it were a scent.

"Ran someone over? Give them compensation. If they're dead, get the ID and give their family compensation. There's 40 minutes till my next meeting, so you have 20 minutes. Go." he ordered.

Just then a yell came from what appeared to be a bodyguard. Soon footsteps came rushing toward Feng Jiao and she had no choice but to slowly open her eyes.

"It's a failed murder attempt! Arrest her! Get the CEO to safety!" yelled the guard.

Feng Jiao looked at her surroundings. Once the car had hit her, it appeared that all the grenades she had stolen and run out were scattered around her, rolling away from her in every direction.

"Ey, it's a misunderstanding. My daughter would never do that!" shouted Kong Xiulan who had caught up with Feng Jiao. While they were a legitimate, government run agency, they were also a secret. They had to keep things under wraps.

They were in violation of public understanding that non military agencies did not have weapons. The problem was that their agency probably had more weapons than the entire military.

Also, Feng Jiao was a minor so that was just another lawsuit waiting to happen.

Kong Xiulan squatted to hug Feng Jiao glare at the men surrounding her. Then a tall and muscular man made his way out of the car to see what exactly was going on. Feng Jiao could tell with a single glance that the man was a dominant alpha.

The type she usually killed.

She scanned him up and down to check for weak spots, but Kong Xiulan patted her back. It was a stern pat that said 'shut up and sit here. I will deal with this'.

So Feng Jiao did exactly that. She quietly sat on the ground without moving. If she were to be examined there was no chance she would get away with anything. She was a terrible liar.

"She was on her way to school and you hit her! Then you act as if she was trying to do something bad? I will call the cops on you!" Kong Xiulan yelled with all the force in her body.

Feng Jiao had never seen Kong Xiulan that fierce and angry. It was surprising, but not unexpected. Kong Xiulan was a mom figure to the entire agency. She was usually mild tempered but this was not the time to be mild tempered.

"Then what about the grenades? Was she strolling around with them for fun?" asked the muscular man without the slightest hint of warmth.

Feng Jiao shivered at his frosty temperament and the fact that it had begun to snow. Winter was the worst time of the year to her. She absolutely dreaded the cold, since she needed jackets to stay warm and jackets were heavy and hindered her movements.

Missions were always harder in the winters.

"They're not grenades! They're fireworks! She was taking them to school for a play!" yelled Kong Xiulan holding onto a grenade. She then proceeded to pull the pin.

The guards rushed to push their boss back but their boss pushed them aside with a cold laugh.

"Let her show me what that thing is." he ordered.

So Kong Xiulan removed the pin of the grenade that was disguised to explode as a firework, and dramatically threw it aside as the bodyguards surrounding them peered on expectantly.
