13 Chapter 12: Truth Be Told

"How can I accept this, when she is in my room right now?" Ashton asked. His features evident of rage. Glowing red dark eyes and long fangs giving off a soft glint from the ceiling light.

"Ashton, as you are to be future alpha. She must be put to the test! We must know if she is a true werewolf or not just as the prophecy says!" Elijah answers calmly, his beta training definitely had taught him well.

Ashton sighs in frustration. Elijah pats his shoulder in assurance and smiles warmly in hopes to calm him down some. Ashton nods and he takes a few long strides to his desk. There lied the old parchment paper.

The hand written prophecy with a language that only the packs spirit elder could decipher, but Ashton already knew of what the paper says. For he and the elder have gone over it before.

"I can't Elijah, I wouldn't be able to do it. I... just can't." Ashton holds his head and sighs in frustration, veins evident all over the sides of his face, neck, and arms.

"Ashton, do you remember that saying your father used to tell my father?" Elijah asked. Raising a brow.

"Which one?" Ashton asks.

"If you don't make the decision, then someone else will." Elijah's face falls in confusion as if he had millions of differently scenarios of the situations that may occur to the prophecy.

"Elijah, its written in the parchment paper. I don't think it can change." Ashton assured.

"Well it's not set in stone." Elijah laughs as if it was a joke, but Ashton only gave him the 'really, man, look.

"Alright, well its your call."

Ashton nods and exits the office. Headed to where he left Natalia last. He began thinking back to the prophecy. I hope she isn't wolf, I wouldn't be able to cope or live with myself.

"Killing her won't be an option. No matter what!" Ashton said aloud, his dentures tormented.
