26 Three

"So, what was that all about?" Asked Christa once Cedrick had left.

"Well," began Bella, jumping over to the couch, "as you may or may not have guessed, my parents are jerks."

"But what does that have to do with Cedrick?" She asked again as she sat over by Bella.

"He's not necessarily a bad person, but he often takes their side on stupid things. For example, when I broke up with Dylan, who is from a well-off family, Cedrick supported my parents in saying I should have given him another chance." She slid over to Christa, who was slightly more desensitized to her behavior, and began twirling a few strands of Christa's hair.

"Well, did Dylan do anything wrong, or were you just not into him anymore?"

"I'd say both. First off, he cheated with some other model then blamed it on me, and second off, he liked to talk to me like he was better than everybody else. Then, I had my whole sexuality thing, and just wasn't into him anymore." She paused for a moment to untangle her fingers from Christa's hair, "But, I actually feel like I dodged a bullet and I got to meet you, so it's a win-win."

"Aw, I'm glad I met you too," Christa gave her a light kiss on the cheek, "but, it still doesn't make sense."

"What doesn't?" Asked Bella, clearly content with the kiss she had been given to her.

"Why you dislike Cedrick. Sure, he might've supported you getting back together with Dylan, but just that isn't enough to piss you off."

"You know me too well," pouted Bella, "it turns out that Dylan had been sent by my parents to date me and was apparently offered a lot of money. Cedrick knew this and didn't tell me up until I broke up with him."

"Okay, I get how that could bother you, but I know there's something else. While he was here, you called him a 'lady thief'. Is he Mister Steal Yo' Girl or something?"

"Ugh, you noticed that?" Christa nodded, and Bella sighed, "Well, not long after I broke up with Dylan, I decided it was time for me to meet girls I could, ya know, date. I found a cute girl on Tindor named Elizabeth, Liza for short. She was really fun, and we hit it off. She wasn't rich or anything, so I knew there was no way my parents would be happy about us going out. This was back when I still trusted Cedrick, so I decided to ask him for some dating advice. Keep in mind, he was the only person I had even mentioned Liza to. Sooner or later, without any warning, he started going after her. I don't know how he found out who she really was, but I'm guessing he bribed a few people for info to do it. Well, long story short, he turned up his charm to a new level, and basically took her from me." She looked off into one of the corners of the room, away from Christa, "I know he probably spilled about her to our parents, and they told him to separate us, it's something they'd do. Another thing was that I asked him about it, and he didn't deny anything, so figures." She finished sadly.

Christa looked at Bella gently, it wasn't like her to be so gloomy about something, "So, what happened to Liza?"

"Hah, my a$$ of a brother dumped her after a few months, and she never had the guts to speak to me again." Bella responded, trying, but failing, to act more angry than sad.
