19 Nineteen

Christa woke up to the sound of cars outside. Bella was already up, cuddling happily with Christa, "You're spooning me again..." said Christa, trying to sound annoyed.

"Eh, so what? I know you like it." Responded Bella, acting as if she'd already won. Christa's face began to turn a light shade of pink.

"Well-I mean, like is a strong word,"-She watched as Bella grinned at this- "anyways, can you hear all those cars?"

"Now that you mention it," began Bella, "are they usually that loud?" They both took a moment to listen for the rhythmic hum of many engines.

Christa lifted the blinds to peek outside, "Uhh, I hate to break it to you, but there's four or five news vans out there, and a few other cars."

"You're kidding me?" Bella scowled, "How'd they find where you live? We didn't even show your face in the photos, only people close to you should've recognized you!"

Christa frowned as she realized who it could've been, "It was probably Shay..."

"Ugh, d@mn it! She's a real pain you know?"

"Well, obviously." Said Christa, recalling what had happened the previous day.

"Hey you! I'm trying to spend quality time with my 'secret lover'. Leave me be!" Exclaimed Bella, trying to lighten the mood.

"Oh, be quiet!" Christa said jokingly, "But, what're we gonna do about them?"

"I mean, this isn't the most ideal setting to reveal your identity to the rest of the public, but it's not that bad either."

"So, what's the plan?" Christa asked.

"Well, they're choosing to wait it out instead of knocking, so we're going to give them what they want and go out there. Let's get dressed and grab some breakfast first though." Christa nodded in agreement, and they hopped out of bed. They changed out of their pjs and put on their clothes from the previous day. Christa still wasn't used to seeing Bella's lean figure up close, and she wasn't sure she would ever be. They went over to the kitchen, and prepared coffee, and some cheap microwaveable pancakes, "So," began Bella, "it looks like they blocked off the driveway, so I'm going to text some of my guys to come over here, and drop a car off."

"Mmmk,"-Christa scarfed down a pancake-"sounds good." They finished up their food, and waited. Christa told her mother to stay out of sight, and sat next to Bella to wait for the car.

"Here by your own volition? Don't mind if I do!" She hugged Christa and ruffled her hair, "You are an amazing person to cuddle with, you know that?"

"Oh, trust me, I've been spooned and hugged enough times to know how you feel about cuddling." Said Christa, not entirely disliking the attention. A few minutes later, Bella got a text from the people who had brought the car over.

"Well, here goes nothing." Said Bella peeking outside the window. There were two new cars sitting nearby, and after a few moments, one zoomed away. Christa assumed that the keys were hidden in the car, and they would drive off as soon as they got inside. Bella cracked open the front door, "Stay next to me, okay?" Christa nodded right before they headed into the crowd. There were probably a couple dozen reporters and camera men gathered around them. Bella kept Christa close to her to shield her from the bombardment of questions from the reporters. They swiftly moved through the line of people, until they reached an opening, "Here comes the fun part," whispered Bella under her breath, "Run!"
