Asking a Favor

"Thank Ryuuken for all the help around the clinic." The doc says after I had helped her with a surgery with my healing magic thanks to Medea's staff.

*If I ever summon her I'll have to thank her for everything.* I think to myself, "No problem Doc, it's the least I could do." After all she healed my broken arm when I was 4 so of course I'd help around here, and they pay me as well.

I can't constantly use Pain Breaker as its very draining to do for every little thing so I only do it in absolute emergencies, and in this village a lot of the residents do stuff that's dangerous just because it looks cool.

"Well I'm going off to help out at Megumins place, see you tomorrow Doc!" I say as I head out, ever since YunYun and her became 'friends' I've been helping out at her dads shop, and with a lot of convincing from my dad we got Megumins families debts removed on the condition that should they end up in debt again they will lose the shop and her dad will be punished severely for it, since he's been the main reason that they keep getting more in debt.

Though as I'm leaving the clinic a carriage shows up and stops right in front of me, it is emblazoned with the symbol of a nobles house on it that I don't recognize before the carriage door opens and a well dressed man steps out from.

He appears to either be in his late twenties to early thirties, combed back blonde hair, with blonde mustache and soul patch combo with grayish green eyes, wearing attire befitting a noble.

*He seems…. Familiar, but I can't remember where.* he then approached me with a rather serious look on his face, "Can I help you with anything sir?"

"Are you the rumored miracle child who can heal any injury, illness, and even pull someone back from deathsbed?"

"From deathsbed? I wouldn't say I'm that good, but I haven't had an injury or illness that I haven't been able to fix yet."

"Even illnesses that are considered incurable?"

"Maybe? I haven't had to deal with someone with an incurable illness after all."

But hearing that he just smiles, "Good, that means you know your limits, that gives me even more hope in your abilities." He says before he bows his head toward me.

"Please, save my dying wife and I'll do anything in my power to help you with whatever you need."

*Whatever I need Huh?….. wait maybe he can help give me a reason to be away for awhile from my family so I can go have fun in different worlds…. Although I should wait for the quest system to truly unlock to get my most bang for my buck.* I think while rubbing my chin before looking back at the man.

"I accept those terms then, though let me go tell my family about this before we leave then."

"Of course, you wouldn't mind if I went and brought you home to talk with your family as well right?"

"That should be fine….. though my dad can be weird though…."

"Right, Crimson Demons have there customs after all…. Speaking of which, why didn't you give that certain welcome your clan gives everyone?"

"…. Unless I want too I usually don't do it…. Do you want me too?"

"…. Not really, let's just go meet your family then." He says as we get in the carriage and go back to my house.

When we arrived back at home my father instantly realized who the carriage belonged to so before we even got out my father was already bowing towards us.

"Thank you for coming to visit my village Lord Dustiness."

"Oh think nothing of it at all, I actually came here today to ask for some assistance from your son, a family member of mine has fallen gravely ill and I require the assistance of your son if that will be fine with you."

"Of course! If my son can be of any assistance to you whatsoever then it would be my honor to let him go along with you to help you anyway he can." My father said with a nod as he patted my shoulder before putting his full grip, which wasn't really strong, telling me to go do it.

But I was gonna do it anyway.

"Well my dad says it's okay, so I'll come and help your family member as much as I can." I say with a nod.

"Wonderful! Then prepare your things young lad, because we head out for my residence."

Though after he left to go back into his carriage both YunYun and Megumin came into the house through the back.

"Big Bro!"

"Ryuu!"

"Who's out front?" X2

"The lord from the Dustiness Household, he asked for your brother to go to his household to help heal a family member of his, he will probably be away for a day or two though." Dad cut in to tell them what's going on.

But hearing that made them both sad, but more YunYun than Megumin, "Big Bro… Your going away?" She said as her eyes got teary eyed.

Seeing that I just smile at pat her head, "it's only for a day or two, you can spend time with Megumin in the mean time.." but then Megumin falls down and grips my pants even more sad than my own sister it seems.

"But what about all that food you make…. I'm gonna have to go scrounging for breadcrusts again, and fishing in the river for food…."

"…." I just pat her head, "If you be nice to YunYun she'll make good food for you while I'm away."

*Sniff Sniff* "Okay…."

"Alright don't keep your brother busy, he needs to grab his things and get going." He said waving them off, but while I went up to my room to grab my things I finally got a quest.

"This isn't that bad, and I guess it isn't a bad idea to wait until I'm 10 to go out on my adventures in other worlds, and most of the objectives are pretty easy….. except the reach level 25 one…."

That would also be very easy as well, problem is getting away from my family to go hunt monsters to level up and getting me an adventurer card to make it possible to do level ups, if you don't it takes much much longer to level up outside of that in this world.

"Wait…. If I can get this done right, maybe I can ask the Dustiness household to get me my adventure card ahead of time." I say as I come up with my plan, so I pack a bag filled with a few days worth of clothes, and I decided to keep my wooden sword and my buckler shield summoned as well as Medea's staff.

After getting everything I headed out the front door before giving my little sis a hug goodbye and patted Megumin's head to try and make her feel better before I got aboard the carriage and headed for the Dustiness Household.
