Welcome to medieval war

I can feel the wet ground filled with blood and saliva under my feet like mud, I could hear the screams of pain and death ringing in my ears scaring me to piss my pants, I could smell the iron stench of blood and despair. I was so scared that i didn’t dare to move afraid that I would catch an arrow, I was worried about the people far away from here, my family and friends. I was confused about how I came here without warning or sign, but the most strange feeling I had inside me was excitement. Excitement for what’s to come. (This is my first time writing a novel so if you notice any typos or grammar mistakes please point them out. Also English is my second language and i am not really that good at languages so Google translate will help me sometimes) (I appreciate ideas or constructive criticism but don’t go hating just because you have an unlucky day)
