1 Pimple Problems

"Wake up, wake up" my bed shifted as the recipient of my little sister, Andys weight.

I sighed and sat up' you know if I didn't love you so much you'll be dead by now' I said.

I kissed her forehead and swung my feet, wincing at the impact of my feet to the floor, I made my way to the bathroom and stared at my reflection in the mirror, great just great I got a new pimple, new week new pimple, at least it won't show that much on my brown skin. I like my body the way it is about 5'7 in height with brown skin, green eyes, and curly black hair as a result of being light-skinned, Nigerian and Canadian.

After having a shower, I looked at my wardrobe, I settled on jeans and an off-shoulder top. I don't want to turn to many heads when I walk by, being in high school is hard enough showing I don't have a lot of friends but I'll live.

"Sarah?"

"mmh" putting some mascara on.

"what does being preggers mean".

I froze and turned around, looking down at her green eyes, filled with so much innocence and I sighed.

"well, let's just say that you were born through that process, why do you ask?

" I heard daddy talking about it" then she walked out of my room.

Mum has been thinking of given birth but my dad is very busy and is worried that the child will miss his dad. My dad told me that he almost missed my birth 17 years ago we laugh about it now but before no way, I vividly remember shouting and breaking glass from the early years of my life. Crazy.

Having a black dad means discipline so I'm not going to be carless for about another year, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for my birthday gift, a car. I am currently hitching rides from my best friend, Zayda, who is meant to be here by now.

I run downstairs beating my dad to the last piece of toast, he grunted in reply.

" someone's having a good morning," my mum said from the kitchen.

" I'm late, I have to go now"

A car honked from outside breaking the staring competition I was having with my mother, lately, she gets to cuddly with me and it's a miracle if you get to escape her.

Andy ran down the stairs with her hair in pigtails that I obviously didn't do for her, the little child of joy had started plaiting her hair by herself which saves me a lot of time. My mum always saves her breakfast saying I have the appetite of a 40-year-old man but a body of a model, up to now I take that as a compliment.

I grabbed my jacket and find my way out of the house, Zayda honked twice making me to repeatedly cover my ears. A soon as I entered the car I glared at her.

" You know I hate that honking sound I can go deaf," I said pulling down my seat belt.

She ignored me and reversed out of my driveway I still didn't see why she had a driver's license she drives like a maniac.

"You know I heard that there will be a pep rally next week," she tells me.

"You also heard that Justin Bieber is Spiderman, but that isn't true" I retorted, I was starting to feel lightheaded. I always feel scared when finding parking space because in Lakeview high there are rules about cars, even if you are a popular kid if your car stinks you have to go to your part of the parking lot a designated place for beaten-down cars while the fords and the expensive cars have a place located at the front of the school so you have easy access to the school's doors. Zayda's car is not that bad so its located in the middle of the parking lot but to get there is a lot of struggling because we use the same pathway of the expensive car users and I might die of unification. Yes, I'm highly claustrophobic.

Anyway, we found a way, actually, Zayda founds a way I bend my head shielding my face both from the glare of the sun and from any popular guys. Finally, the car stopped and my heartbeat went to normal.

"We have to something about your fear, it is very unhealthy you could faint" Zayda lectures while we pass through the doors of our dear overpopulated school.

I ignored her remark and move towards my locker, I love books with my life any book will make me happy, my locker was two feet away from all of the cheerleader's lockers I don't know how they managed to get lockers beside themselves but they did I have gotten used to the normal squeals and gossip that's how I know everything. But one day it's going to put me in trouble.
