Can I Go Back?

Where is this place? I turn back and forth to figure out the place. Wait a minute, it's.. our mansion.

"Hey? Are you not gonna get up Kai?"

Aiko? I keep staring at her.

"Oye! Stop staring like that!!", Her face turns red.

"Oh sorry!"

"We just got married and you are staring at me!"

Married? I look at my finger. It's one of the rings from the set I gave to Aiko that night. Aiko is wearing one too. So all of those? Those were just dream? Aiko and I actually got married? But it seemed so real! Anyway! I'm happy that it was just a dream.

"Come on!! It's already 8!!", Aiko says.

"Yes! Coming ma'am!!", I laugh.

"Wierdo!"

Heading to the diner I see everyone sitting. Alex is serving tea to Dense, Tachibana is munching on a bread.

"Good morning master!", Alex says.

"Good morning.", I reply.

"So you are up, 'mister husband!'", Dense says.

"How did you....?"

"We live under the same roof sickos. Quiet it down during night!! Others are trying to sleep when you guys are busy making babies!!!", Tachibana shouts.

"Uh.. um.. we were not..!", Aiko tries to speak.

"You guys should have tried to hide it when you were doing the deed!!! There's no point in screaming and breaking bed the whole night and then saying you guys weren't in the morning!!!", Tachibana says.

"I thought you were gay?", Dense says.

"No I'm not!!!", I scream.

"Well, he was acting like a girl last night.", Aiko says shyfully.

"What the!!!! I was not!!! Wait, was I?!"

"Don't worry she is just teasing you!", Dense says.

"Master! Should I prepare a room for the junior master then?", Alex says.

"Huh?"

"I mean miss Aiko is having a baby, right?", Alex says.

"Wait what?! You guys didn't seriously...?!!", Tachibana exclaims.

"So you guys didn't even know and bluffing??!", I say.

"You guys.... seriously?!! You didn't even consider having a condom?!!", Dense says.

"Um... not like we have some in the house.", I say.

"You could've just asked me for some!!", Dense says.

"Wait you had some???", I exclaim.

"Of course! A man who has a woman should always stay prepared for situations like putting the snake in the hole!!", Densetsu tries to sound a little modest.

But not for long. Tachibana starts beating the crap out of him with a red face. Oof that must hurt pretty bad. While the two of them finishes their early morning couple fight I and Aiko start our 'romantic' breakfast.

Densetsu and I are watching the last episode of 'Cup Noodles' anime. It was one of those mainstream ones. Those one's which has 200+ episodes. It's not the proper ending though. They are having to end it as the war is starting to look pretty gross. Other shows already stopped airing. This is the last one. It was pretty popular, so they wanted to continue. But I guess 'Another one bites the dust.' Last one, to be exact. They said the episode is 3 hours long. They probably should have made a movie instead. It would have gotten more attention. Oh well, it was my favorite of the bunch. Kinda sad seeing it die like this. Densetsu is at the brink of tears. Why shouldn't he be? He has been seeing this since the day he was born, or so he says. It's not really a ground breaking story or anything, it's kind of at the chill side. Kinda like Ghibli originals.

"Why did she have to disappear like that?!", Densetsu starts crying.

"To make the viewers remember anime of course. It's the last of it's kind. It has to be the most epic ending in the history of anime. So that people like you and me won't forget about the medium."

"Why do you have make everything sound so rational and logical?"

"Well, it is what it is."

"Stop it!!", He starts crying louder.

Good job mate, you made a baby cry. Now I have to make him stop. Cuz this is gonna drive me nuts. I sigh and start consoling Dense, the big baby.

The balcony. Nothing is better than leaning on the railing of your favourite balcony after finishing your favourite show. Feel the emptiness. It really is something. Slurping up the last drop of the coffee and staring at the view, feels like I'm in another universe. Come to think of it, what kind of weird dream was that. It felt so real. It's like Aiko really did get shot and...

"Oh hey there.", Aiko walks in.

"Hey!"

"Enjoying the view?"

"Yeah."

"I can't blame you. You really liked the view. Remember that night? I got so scared looking at you like that. You were..", she tries to smile a little.

"What night?"

"You know... The night Alex died and all."

"How do you...?"

"You need wake up."

"Huh? I am awake."

"Stop joking around fool.", She tries to smile harder.

"What are you saying?! That was all just a dream!! Right?", My heart starts pounding fast.

Oh god no!!! Please!! I'm not dreaming!!! That was a dream. This is reality. Please!!!

"You need to wake up now honey.", She smiles at me.

"I am awake. I'm not going anywhere. You are not either."

"You can't dream for the rest of your life like this. Can you?"

"Noo!! This is real!!"

"You'll have to wake up. Good bye, honey. I really hope I get to meet you in real life one day.", She pushes me off the railing as she smiles the last time at me.

No!! This can't be!!! I'm not....

I suddenly fall on the floor. My whole body is shaking. That was all just a dream, huh. Way to go brain. You really can trick people well.
