Dexter was your typical weeb. He stayed home all day watching anime, reading novels, and doing whatever else he could to fill his boredom. He basically had no friends or lost contact with them, as he had gone through a period of depression. Well, he was out of it now, but it was kinda awkward for him to talk to them again seeing as he had almost no human interaction(other than his family) for a year.

Today was just another day for him. He had just caught up to the last chapter of a certain fanfic about a female assassin transmigrated in to genderbent Superman's body, and was super frustrated at the cliffhanger at the latest chapter. (He really wanted to see the fight between her and General Zodd). Other than that it was a pretty chill night.

Suddenly, he heard a large BOOM. Seeing it came from the direction of the window, he walked towards it, only to come face to face with a large truck coming towards him.

*truck hitting flesh noises*

The last thought he thought before everything went dark was 'But I'm on the third floor, how is that even possible!??'

===

Dexter's eyes fluttered open to a bright beam of sunlight hitting his face, prompting him to suddenly wake up. The very first thing that came over him when he was awake was the wish to be transmigrated.

And he realized his wish came true when he came to notice the ancient looking designs in his room as well as the exotic robes he had on that looks more like cosplay than anything. Dexter secretly celebrated in his mind but soon calmed himself in order to find out more information of this world. He searched his thoughts and found some foreign memories.

His name in this world was Xu Liu. He was an orphan who lived in a small village on the outskirts of the continent. He was raised by the village chief, along with a dozen other orphaned children, whom he really wasn't that close with. Xu Liu liked to be alone most of the time and take care of his own needs.

At the age of 12, he was tested and found to have good talent in cultivation, where he was promptly sent off to a major city in an attempt to join a sect that was known in the region.

It has been a few months since then and currently he was staying in a hotel on the outer edge of the city which he now knows is called Golden Sword City, home to the Golden Sword Sect, which was a sect famous for the way their sword glows gold when battling enemies. It was also this sect that he was going to attempt to get in. Well, that was before Dexter took over.

'Hmmm' Dexter thought, going over his previous body's memories. 'Looks like it's your usual cultivation world. That mean I may have to deal with brainless young masters and all that wuxia bullsh*t.'

'Well this may be a good thing for me though as the IQ of everyone here is significantly reduced from my previous world.' He knows that if he avoids certain situations, he can pretty much come out unscathed.

'Let's check for any cheats now.'

'System' he called in his mind

[Yes host how can I help?]

came a reply from an emotionless voice.

'Good, I have a system. Now let's see if they are any restrictions or missions. I don't want to be controlled by it after all.'

He looked at the display in front of him which had the categories STATS, SKILLS, INVENTORY, MAP and SHOP. Seeing as there was no missions or quests tab, he was satisfied and decided to continue to use is past knowledge to his advantage.

'Give me the beginner package', he thought to the system.

[Opening Beginner Package -

Received:

- 1 x Instant Golden Core Realm Pass

- 1 x Basic Cultivation Knowledge

- 1 x Gamer's Body

- 1 x Free Beginner Skill]

He checked his inventory, claiming his rewards while noticing how he had unlimited space there.

Dexter, now Xu Liu, instantly felt the changes in his body, which felt refreshing, as he laid back down on his bed to wait for the process to finish. After about 1 minute, he felt his body stop changing and noticed few things. He was much stronger than he was as a human on earth. He felt like he could lift a building easily and be able to toss it around. He also felt his senses extend to beyond what a human was capable of, and could basically feel anything that was going on in a 10km range. It was a lot to take in at first, but he slowly got used to it as a bit of time passed.

Right away, he checked his book of basic information and the first thing that came up was cultivation realms. They were:

1. Qi Refinement

2. Foundation Building

3. Golden Core

4. Nascent Soul

5. Ascension

6. Half Immortal

7. True Immortal

Each realm had 10 levels which had a progressively greater gap each level you go up.

After reading though it some more, Xu Liu confirmed that this world was just your normal wuxia world without any weird twists added in.

Next, he checked the map which showed that he was in the Withered Continent and knew he fell into the cliche where the MC always starts at a noobie continent with little resources. He zoomed out and saw that there were thousands upon thousands of continents, and decided not to focus on that for now. Xu Liu looked at the city which was called Golden Sword City and saw how it was the biggest city in the vicinity, housing over 10million people, with a small minority of them actually being cultivators.

He asked the system and found that the families in power here were the Tang and Bai clan. Both were fighting for power in this city and both had their younger generation sent to the Golden Sword Sect to compete for 'prestige'. The patriarchs in both clans were at level 5 of the Foundation Building realm and it look like they were not going to improve anytime soon

Yep, he was definitely not gonna get involved in this bullsh*t. Even If his strength was much greater than them right now, he didn't want to deal with people with such low iq here.

Next, he check the skills tab and found that all the basic skills of all the elements were available for free, such as fireball/wind slash, etc. So he claimed them and looked though the beginner skills and found one that was particularly appealing. It was shadow clone jutsu, same as the one from Naruto. He knew this would make his life much easier, and that it was the best option available compared to more attack skills, so he picked that as his free skill.

Xu Liu thought in his mind, without the hand seals 'Shadow Clone Jutsu' and instantly an identical copy of himself appeared in front of him. He checked out his features and saw that he had, long black hair, somewhat chiseled face with a pointed chin, and unique golden eyes. He admired how handsome he'd become, and even though he was already considered good looking in his previous world, it couldn't compare to his looks now.

He then activated it again with all his qi, and found that he could already make a total of 69 clones of himself. They barely fit in his room so he canceled them and felt his Qi come back.

'What an awesome system. Basically just got a bunch of free sh*t and became op.'

[Thank you, host]

'Of course, you're welcome system'

Next, asking the system how to buy items and increase cultivation, Dexter was told that system points can be exchanged in a 1:1 ratio from the currency(spirit stones) of the world, and exp to level up can be earned by killing monsters/people. He was currently already lvl30, seeing how he was at the first level of the Golden Core Realm.

Finally Xu Liu got up, yawned, and went out for a walk wanting to check out this world a bit from his perspective.
