My mate

Everyone was already in the hall including the King and the Queen, the only missing ones were Logan and his sister. Selena was sitting next to me, and she was all excited about meeting Diana's daughter.

As she was talking a wonderful smell filled the space. For a while, it cut all sorts of connections with my actual world, along with the smell came the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, my mate, the human girl is my mate.

After running for more than 3 hours in my Lycan form, I finally decided on getting back to the palace. Running is the only way for us Lycans to get rid of all fury and anger.

You may ask why the hell would I be angry? Well, I've just found out that my mate - The one I've been waiting for hundreds of years, is not just a human, but she's the most pathetic creature on the whole. Her birth was such a waste of Diana's life.

When I came back, I went right away to my room, threw my exhausted body into the bed, and tried to sleep in hope of forgetting about all that happened that night.

As I was about to close my eyes, the whole scene of what happened when we met hours ago - for the first time - started to play into my view as if it was a movie.

The way she was looking at me, the tears that she was holding, not to mention the look of hurt in her eyes, it all affected me while it shouldn't.

I mean, what? Did she really expect that I would fall for her love at the first sight?

Well, she needs to wake up, this is not any of the fairy tales where the cold heart prince will fall for a little cute girl - It's the real world, we're only the strongest can make it out alive.

I mean yeah she's beautiful and the way she smells is having me out of my mind, not to mention that the mate pull is doing crazy things to me. But I have duties that came before what I want and desire.

But then ... Why the hell do I care about how she is feeling right now, not that I'm going to accept a weak mate like her.

I mean the girl's father is the vampire king himself, and her mother is Diana - one of the strongest fighters in the kingdom. Yet, she is still a weak human, I doubt that she would become a Lycan after mating.

But what if the only thing she needs is to be mated to at Lycan, then from the weak creature she is, she would become a queen.

I decided to go and see her at least from afar.

Well, I was expecting to see a broken crying little girl, but I ended up in the room of a deep sleeping beauty.

She looked amazingly beautiful, I couldn't help but to get closer and closer.

At first, I only wanted to see her, but after a while, I ended up climbing into her bed. I stopped there watching her beauty, the same beauty that was freezing my whole body right now.

I bent down close to her face, as my face reached her face, I reached to touch her lips with one of my fingers, just by then a wave of electricity ran through my body.

The same wave of electricity that seemed to wake The Sleeping Beauty up.

Her black wide-open eyes were the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen, before she could utter a world I crushed my lips on hers in what seems to be like the eternity for me.

I expected that she would push me away and even reject me after almost rejecting her in front of everybody including her brother - Logan. Yet, I was surprised that she did not.

Surprisingly, she gave up on my kiss and I liked it. The kiss lasted longer than I expected, and since she did not stop me, I decided on going a little too far and I tore up the dress from her delicate body. We end up mating together throughout the whole night.

Though we mate together, I did not end up marking her, I know for sure we can't be together. As for the rest of the night, the only thing I did was to keep watching her beauty.

For sure, with or without mate bond. I do believe that she is the most beautiful creature I've ever seen, but her beauty is not enough to let her be my queen.

After all, I am going to be soon The Alpha King, and my people are my number one priority, and Selene seems to be a better choice than her.

The only thing that seems right for the moment is to keep the thing between as a secret, while in front of people it would be me and Selene.

The sun was almost ready to rise up, so I decided to leave her room and to get to mine, to clean myself from her smell. No one should know about us.

As I reached my room I was surprised by Selene's presence, she seemed to recognize the smell on me.

'' You were with her, your mate'' she says in a broken voice '' Now that you've found your mate, I don't think you still need me no more'' she adds.

'' Not true, Selene you are my queen, my Lycan wants her but I only want you ''

When I finish talking the sweet talk to her, I crush my lips on her. She's not as good as my mate, but I can't lose a strong ally as Sir Rowan.

While kissing the dumped girl in front of me, a small cry took me out of guard. No one was here - Yet, I still could smell Elisabeth's scent. Or I should say what's left from the beautiful smell of my mate.

She was here, and I was so busy dealing with Selene that I didn't notice her. The worst part is that she probably heard everything.
