—"Anna this is our only chance!!!", swallowing the remaining saliva and betting on my life, I decided to make my last move while making predictions about my tomorrow; Never wanted to do this with him but I have to do something for myself, picking up a weapon, I extended my hand near to the enemy and....
—"YESSSSS!!!!!!THIS IS IT!!!!!", said all of the people who were behind and were waiting for me to win this match, "Anna!!! You are amazing!!!!", said Sarah, one of my holy friend, we all smirked and looked at our opponent, "Drake", I chuckled at his annoyed face, and spoke with a stern voice, "so, my $50???", he glared at me, and unwantedly he handed over all the money and I got up and left with my girls, Now, y'all must be wondering, that it was some kind of war or something but no no no, let me guide you to the right path! That was CHESS! I'm a master of Chess here, and I bet my $50 on the game, i knew I had won the game, let me introduce you to myself, i mean who else will do that if not me!! Hahaha, that was not funny, I know,
"I am Anna, yeah just Anna!! My surname??? Even though I don't know that!!, but here comes the saddest part, I am an Orphan! My parents abandoned me when I was just three years old, I don't even remember them, sometimes I wonder "what a three year old could do to them???", Anyways, Glad they left me, I am living peacefully here, gosh, I get so jealous when some parents comes to see their child, I have been living in this orphanage since past 17 years!! And most importantly, I'll be turning 20 soon....I am planning on running away from here with all of my earnings to start a new life, I just want to do something for myself....life is so boring here—", "BWAHHHH!!!!!", Sarah shouted in my ears making my left ear bleed, "Gosh!!! My ear!!", I sat up annoyingly, and we girls are gathered here on our dinning table in the cafeteria, Sarah got up to bring some foods for us, "so, Anna, what do you want to do for your 18th birthday??!!", Said Wendy with excitement in her voice and it made me wonder if it's my birthday or her??, "This time I'll gift you guys something on my birthday", and curiosity took over them when I said that, they don't even know what I am about to do but atleast Sarah is aware about my actions, she came with two food trays on her both hands, yeah she is kinda good at balancing stuffs, "you broke head!! Help me!! Take this!!", I came back to the world and took my tray from her hand and kept it on the table, and we continued eating but my brain was busy making plans to run!,
"TO THE WORLD ANNA!!", I flinched lightly, and she continued with a concerned voice, "what has happened to you??? Lately, your mind had been wandering somewhere around the world!, are you fine?", i simply nodded my head but that won't make her mouth shut, "you're still planning on running", she asked in a whispering voice and i replied with the same tone, "Honestly, yes...!", Sarah we quite after my words that made me wonder her sudden behaviour, "why? What happened?", I asked while leaning on to her a bit, "aren't you scared?", She asked and her question did hit me hard but putting on a good face I simply said, "no...not at all", I passed her a sweet smile and luckily she smiled back,
After lunch break,
they all went to their respective room, Sarah, Anna and two other girls share rooms. Anna was laying on her bed as she looked up to the above bed and went to her deep thoughts, Sarah's question passed into her mind again, "Aren't you scared?", honestly she is scared as heck, going alone to an unknown place, among strangers, in search of a new journey, all thoughts were running in her mind, she couldn't sleep and kept tossing here and there, Sarah was awakened and she noticed this behaviour of her friend, ofcourse, even she is scared because no one tried to run from here and Anna will be the first one to run from here.
Three days passed like thin hair and finally it was Anna's 20th birthday, she was happy and scared at the same time. A knock on the door and knowing it will be Ms. Gracia with a new dress, Anna smiled and opened the door just to get greeted by Ms. Gracia, "Happy Birthday!! Sweetheart...", Anna took the dress and hugged her while smiling, "Thank you so much!!!", Ms. Gracia broke the hug and said, "Now, wear this quickly and get ready...go go go", she pushed me inside the room and closed the door. Sarah quickly came up to me, "open!!open it!!", she is always excited to see gifts, we all know it will be a dress, I opened the gift and it was a beautiful black dress, "wow....", A wow left from both of our mouths,
"This is beautiful.....", said Sarah,
"Wait! I'll wear it and get ready",
I quickly wore that dress and checked out myself in the mirror, this is so beautiful!!!!! This dress has my heart now!!!
Suddenly, a sigh left my mouth and I decided to pack my bag, everything needs to be ready beforehand,
My plan is to leave right after I cut the cake tonight!
My heart was beating, like drums, I was scared, excited, nervous, and anxious at the same time, i don't know what is gonna happen but my only goal is to go to that agency and meet the founder of this orphanage, so that I can get to know my parents, Orphanage never disclose my information to me so this is my only chance to get to know about myself better, get to know about my past, the reason, why I was brought here!
