14 Ashley's return will only worsen their life

Jack was standing in an empty classroom with door, he pilled out a necklace given to him be his mother, as he opened it there was a picture of his and his mother.

He looked at the picture, and tears started flowing out from his eyes, he wiped them immediately, but they were non stop, so he let them out.

He started memorizing the past, the day when his mother left.

FLASHBACK,

Cookie kissed his forehead, Jack was looking at him with an angry face,

"Once I found a job in America, I will come back for you," Cookie said.

"Mom, come back soon," Cookie was leaving when Jack spoke up.

She turned around and give him a smile, and again left.

END OF FLASHBACK,

Eric was going home after school, as he was passing by, he saw his mother was standing in front of a restaurant while waiting for him, he sighed and ignored her while walking.

"Eric!" she shout as he saw him.

"You can't just ignore me, come in, I want to talk," Ashley said.

"What do you want to say?" Eric said in a cold tone.

"Just come in the restaurant," she said and started walking in the restaurant.

"I'm sorry, I know it was my fault, I want you to come to me and leave as Rose's brother," she said.

Eric looked out the window where Hazel was sitting with head down, and was playing with an insect on the ground.

"Anything else to say?" Eric asked.

Ashley looked at him in disbelief.

"I gotta go," Eric said and was leaving when Ashley again speak up

"Listen, I-" she was speaking but Eric didn't listen and went outside.

As he went outside, he grabbed Hazel's hand and left, Ashley was looking at them from the window and tears started appearing in her eyes.

Hazel was holding Eric's shoulder with her both hands don't letting him go, with a sad face.

Eric removed her one hand from his shoulder, but she again grabbed his shoulder with that hand.

"Our dean hangs around to spot student couples," Eric said but Hazel grabbed him even more tightly with her sad face.

"Don't tell dad about me seeing her," Eric said but didn't get any response from her.

"Do you hear me?" he looked at her and said.

"Fine," she said while making a disgust face.

"Stop!!!" the teacher from behind shout, "which class are you in?" the teacher again asked.

"RUN!!!" Eric said and they both ran away.

Frankie was working, when he received a call from an unknown number,

"Hello?" Frankie said,

???: "It's been a long time, how are you?"

Frankie recognized the voice, it was Ashley,

"What do you want?" he said in a cold tone.

"I wanna meet you, I've send you the location of a place, I'm waiting," she said and hung up,

Frankie looked at the phone with an annoyed facial expression.

As he went there, it was a magnificent five-star hotel, he looked at the hotel and entered in, as he entered a lady come to him and said,

"Welcome, how many guest?" she asked in a polite manner,

"My friend's here already should be inside," he said while smiling and started walking inside.

As he looked at her from behind he lost in past, but got a hold over himself. After looking at her with a blank expression he finally reached at her.

"Sorry, I got caught up by work, Frankie said while sitting in front of her.

"It's okay, it's been only one hour, I used to wait for longer," she said and smiled.

"It was really work," Frankie said while smiling.

"Here' have some tea," she said while giving him a cup of tea.

He took a sip and make an annoyed face while looking at the tea,

"Well, Tieguanyin, my stomach can't take it, just gave me some water, I'm really thirsty due to work," he said while puting the cup down.

Ashley pour some water in a glass and gave it to him, he drank all the water in a sec.

"It sounds like your accent has changed," Frankie said after drinking the water,

"Really?" she asked.

"Yeah, it's quite ovbious, you look younger than before," Frankie said.

"No way," she said while smiling.

"Thanks a lot for helping me with my daughter's school," she said.

"Yes, take this and you can hand it to school," Frankie said while giving her a paper from his pocket.

"Thank you, I heard that my mother troubles you, she's old, you can refuse her if you want," she said while taking the paper from him.

"She's Eric's grandma, she's a family, I should help her if I can," he replied.

"You're still very kind, the same reason, I married you," she replied while smiling.

"Your husband will work here only for six months, do you have to take your kid here?" Frankie said while changing the topic.

"Well, I have to come and take care of my husband, he thinks that a family should be together," she replied.

"You are right, staying with kids is good, okay then I'm going," he said and was leaving when she again spoke up,

"Well....." she said.

He turned around and said, "What? how can I help you now?" he asked.

"It's nothing, I just went to meet Eric," she said with a bright smile on her face.

"Why did you do that?" he said in a cold tone while hitting his head on table.

"I haven't seen him for a long time, plus my mother and brother say that I should take care of him more, my daughter hasn't seen her brother, they are brother and sister, so they should meet," she said in a calm tone, while smiling and looking down.

"You've crossed the line, taking care of him? now? it's been ten years, and you come back now? you didn't even ask if he wants to meet you or not," he was shouting and everyone started looking at them.

"I just want to make up with him, As a mother, visiting my son is fine," she replied.

"Now you remember that you are his mother? what took you so long? don't you know how you've hurt him before?" he again shouted while Ashley was looking at him with a calm face.

"Is it only my fault? only me? you're 100% innocent?" she said.
