6 Chapter 2

March 12.

It took full two hours when the lecturer finally concluded the topic. Listening to the last words and reminders about the assignments, Anna jotted down everything inside her phone. While her packing her things there is one guy with blue eyes who comes and standing at the front of the table.

"I saw you taking notes, do you mind if I snap it?"

When Anna first looks directly at the guy's face, her heart beats fast, all the anxiety she feels surges up blocking her trachea making her breath shorten. Without giving any response, Anna stands and walks away with her head low down. The feeling of getting notice makes her wanted to run away and hide. She never thought there will be someone who notices her even after she sits at the most secluded place in the hall.

Running away leaving the guy, Anna quickly heading to the library as that is the only place where she can hang out since it will be a headache if she encounters any bullies. The guy with the blue eyes watches silently, keeping his phone back into the pocket, he also walks out leaving the hall. It might be because of the gut who make Anna stunt or maybe she was always surrounded with bad luck, Anna was stopped by a group of people who chilling out at the corner of the stairs.

"Is there a ghost in the middle of the day? Look at how long her bangs are! Hahaha!"

A man with an orange hoodie stood out stopping Anna. Seizing the girl upside down, the boy keeps on laughing with his other friends following together staring at Anna. The laugh was so loud it attracts others who walk alongside, some students started to whisper to each other, and some students just turn blind eyes and walk away.

"What is this, is it an old lunch box?"

A girl who notices the grey steel lunch box at the left side of Anna's hand quickly voicing out while pointing to it attracting others to look. Feeling frustrated, Anna tries to get through from the group while hiding her face, but unfortunately, the grey steel lunch box was taken by another guy from behind.

"What the f**k! I think she is a nerd! No, No. She is a nerd, a freaking nerd!"

"Yeah bro, she is indeed a freaking nerd! What a freak weird girl!"

It seems like there is no ending to Anna who heard every violent word from the group of people. They keep on making fun of Anna while turning her around so there are more things to be discovered, treating Anna like a doll worth of being ridicule. Pushing Anna to the corner of the wall, a girl with long blonde hair finally ends the embarrassing moment by pouring all the dishes on the floor. Watching the girl's actions, others just laugh it out and walking away leaving Anna with her body shrank.

Looking at the dishes on the floor with her wet eyes, Anna squad down collecting and cleaning the mess. Holding her voice back, Anna's shoulder can be seen shaking in small actions showing how hard she had tried to keep her mind together.

This is not the first time she is being treated as a freak, there is even worse treatment other than today, however seeing the dishes from Sister Jane, her heart hurt terribly. There are only a couple of people who treat her kindly, but every time she thought she will have a good day, they're always other people who come and ruin it.

Sighing, Anna walks out from the corner heading to the restroom without paying attention to her surroundings. From the start till the end, there is no one who comes giving her help or trying to report it to the student's council, or to the lecture, because all of them just watch it at the side findings it hilarious while recording the video for their entertainment. It is cruel to label people as a whole as trash, but Anna got no choice. If she still thinks that there are kind people that still exist in the university, then she must die first before seeing one.

'Why?! Why always me?! What did I do wrong?!'

Shading her tears, Anna asks herself those questions. To say that she never works hard, every day she will try to make herself invisible from the other, but still why there are always people noticing her even after all her acts. She never disturbs anyone, but still why do other students always find fault with her? No one ever let her go without looking at her with strange eyes, even after making fun of her face, they still didn't let her off.

The next two classes, Anna attended it while carrying a deep thought. Even when there is spare time, she keeps herself thinking about that matter. Knowing that she will attract other attention by doing a strange thing, Anna decides to list out all the things that she must pay attention to in order to avoid being public attention.

After the class finally ended at 4.00 pm, Anna quickly walks out of the hall heading to the library. Other than getting sponsor by the university, Anna also works as a part timer in one of the libraries in the town. Since it was the only job she can do taking advantage of her love for books, Anna got to work there every day after finished her classes. Not wanting to be late, Anna took a public bus instead of walking there directly.

Since it is only an hour before the peak hours, there are few people boarding the public bus. Sitting at the empty seat, Anna put her earphone on putting herself out from the world. There are a lot of things she wanted to do, while listening to the music on her old phone, she put out her notebook and turning on the pages where there is her bucket list written down. Immersed in her own imagination, Anna smiles quietly showing her beautiful small eyes that are full of determination and hopes which she wishes she can make happens.

At the end of the back inside the public bus, there is a pair of dark eyes watching her carefully. The pair of dark eyes just stare at the girl quietly and without even showing any thought making people surrounding her unaware of it. the malicious was being kept tightly giving the owner a feeling of proudness. Closing the eyes while bonding with the darkness, the eyes disappear as quick as when it appears.

A couple of minutes later Anna pushes the stop button before walking down the bus and crossing the road to the library. Putting her card into the timer machine, Anna put on her apron after putting all her belongings inside her locker before going to the seconds' floor resumes her unfinished work. Keeping her job as a librarian is important to her because only staying closed to books can help Anna forget all her terrible days and sunk into her own world without bothering other eyes or thought that they have on her. Thus, the most awaiting thing for Anna is her part time job as a librarian throughout the days.
