Chapter 5: Iron Bones And Copper Skin

A powerful ancient roar reverberated from within the depths of Darien's body. This came from none other than his Overlord Chart. The Overlord Chart is something that was bestowed to him by the heavens and was naturally overbearing and arrogant. What's more, it had an extremely protective nature and would protect its master from anything as long as it was within its power. As such when it saw that there was an invader trying to rid its master of his potential it was immediately enraged. It powerful roar disintegrated the invader and turn it into nourishment for its master.

The vitality rushed into Darien bones and skin slowly transforming them. The vitality rushed in with so much power that he felt like he was being torn apart from within. His celly crazily absorbed the massive amounts of vitality but even then the amount of vitality didn't diminish in fact it grew even denser! From this, it could be seen how powerful the Potential Destroying Poison really was! Given that the person taking the poison had sufficient potential it was indeed possible to create a body that even God's would be envious of. This was exactly why Instructor Aisuru dared to fool Darien and Aviana with this so-called Godly Physique Forging Medicine. He clearly knew that Darien and Aviana had massive potential to the point that they would be duped by the Potential Destroying Medicine. The question was why he would do something like this. After all, with potential like theirs, as long as the Kaishi Martial Arts School invested even a little amount of resources into them they could definitely become powerful Mortal Core level combatants! The answer was simple and the answer laid in Instructor Aisuru's true position in the Kaishi Martial Arts School.

As he watched the two youngsters in front of him, Instructor Aisuru complacently smiled. He believed that the fate of the two laid in his hands. He was even the slightest bit afraid of the two figuring out his intentions. In fact, if the two didn't take the initiative in swallowing the poison he would have just forced it down their throats and no one could stop him. This was because this man was the dean of Kaishi Martial Arts School. In this town, no one was stronger than him! Not even that man from the Trairu Clan could stop him. That was because some days ago he successfully entered the Mortal Core Realm! One must know that there was a massive difference between the Mortal Core Realm and the Half-Step Mortal Core Realm. As for why he didn't nurture the two in front of him, it was because he was a man of great ambitions and he believed that he would find better heavenly geniuses who were worth nurturing. To him, these two country bumpkins were just tools to help him conquer the Trairu Clan more conveniently.

Suddenly, Aviana screamed in pain. This alarmed the Dean who instantly moved beside the girl. He put his arm on her shoulder and sent his mana into her. He frowned as his mana circulated within her body. He could sense that the Potential Destroying Poison's effects had somehow been multiplied within the girl's body. This had caused the poison to not only suck out her potential but also her lifeforce! Even if they were nothing but tools to him, he absolutely could not let her die. This would concern the reputation of the Kaishi Martial Arts School. If the entire Walfor Town was to find out about this then people might start hesitating on trying to become a disciple. Ultimately, no one would want to be part of a school that can't properly teach their students. As he thought of this the Dean took out a small white and red pill out of thin air. This was called the Heart Calming Pill. It is commonly used by practitioners to calm their hearts and minds but it also had a second effect of nullifying the Potential Destroying Poison. In fact, the Potential Destroying Poison is a waste product of making the Heart Calming Pill. The stronger the Potential Destroying Poison that was produced, the less adept the apothecary was at cultivating pills. The Dean immediately put the pill into Aviana's mouth and helped her digest it. Then he took a second pill and put it into Darien's mouth after some close inspection. It turned out that the two had been withstanding the pain the entire time!

Contrary to his thoughts, the two hadn't actually been suffering. They were just putting up an act, or more specifically the charts in their bodies had been putting up an act. The two had actually already fainted the moment the Potential Destroying Poison had entered their bodies and started sucking their potential out. The poison did indeed have too strong of a dosage but their overbearing charts had immediately cancelled out any of the poison's effects. In spite of that, the wills of the two charts had controlled the two children's bodies in an attempt to make Dean Aisuru feel guilty. Unfortunately, it was all for nought. This man was too determined in ruining the future of the two in front of him.

Dean Aisuru venomously stared at the children sitting before him. His heart was breaking at the thought of the two Heart Calming Pills that he had wasted on these two. "I'll make you two pay for that!" he said through clenched teeth. "That cost me two hundred gold and a favour from Apothecary Jiang! Do you know how much I had to spend to gain that favour huh?! I ALMOST DIED TRYING TO GET THAT! You two useless ants I will make sure that you suffer because of that!" he loudly bellowed. His loud roar shook the mountains as his powerful mana rippled off him. All living things within a centimetre were completely annihilated and countless beasts were alarmed by the mana ripples. Birds flew rapidly into the sky as the tall trees fiercely shook behind them. The mana ripples travelled a few kilometres in every direction.

Within the Trairu Clan, there was a massive mansion built using Hundred Year Old Steel Wood. In the middle of the mansion, a man in his early thirties sat in a lotus position. He was surrounded by four solid walls that insulated any sound coming from the outside. World Energy floated around this man creating a breathtaking scene. Countless colours were suspended in the air and the man was sitting at the centre. He looked like a sage from the old times. This man was none other than the only other Half-Step Mortal Core Realm warrior in Walfor Town. He was the Family Head of Trairu Clan. At this point, he suddenly opened his eyes and looked in the direction of Crimson River Forest. His eyes were filled with shock and longing before being quickly replaced by staunch determination. He smiled as his mana unconsciously rippled out of him. His rising battle intent was barely being suppressed as it tried to reach for the skies. He then closed his eyes and went back into meditation. He couldn't wait for the three-year pact between him and that old man. In three years, a final battle would be held that would decide the faith of the Trairu Clan and the Kaishi Martial Arts School.
