9 Chapter 9 - Lawless Town

From the estimated two weeks, it actually took a whole month for them to reach their destination. Luckily, they stocked enough food and Levi also hunted a lot of big sea beasts, so they didn't lack food at all.

Leo, who saw the faint silhouette of an island in the distance, almost cried and knelt directly on the ground, ''O'Great Island, may you receive me, your poor servant!''

''...'' After this sentence, two bumps appeared on his forehead, and the poor leopard truly cried due to the pain, ''Don't think that our training stops just because we arrived at the island, we will train harder here.''

''You damned island, may you sink into the sea, never to appear again!'' Leo cursed fiercely but started drawing circles with depressed lines all around him as a new bump followed its two brothers on Leo's forehead.

''YAHAHAHA!'' Levi laughed loudly after seeing Leo's expression, and said, ''Don't be like that, yes? We won't be doing nothing, this island is known as the worst island in the entire East Blue!''

''Though the East Blue is the weakest sea, there is one island where that rule doesn't apply at all! There is a town named 'Lawless Town', and its contents shouldn't be hard to discover. It's a very dangerous one, but maybe we can find a crewmember there!''

Nonetheless, Leo was extremely depressed, weren't they supposed to explore the seas peacefully? Why must they go to such a dangerous Island!!! Tears filled his eyes, and his cat-like ears dropped down, looking extremely depressed.

''I wanna go back...'' He muttered sadly, remembering the glorious days where he would just be a burly leopard that hunted happily on his home island. Now, he was going to a place that even Levi rated as very dangerous.

At the same time, Levi secretly decided that instead of starting to learn Armament Haki, it would be better to first master Observation Haki, and improve both his Sword skills and the control he has over the Water Water Fruit.

'Hmmm, I can stay at that island for a month or two, and divide the usage of each abilities by half-half during our time there.' Levi thought to himself while continuing, 'So, I'll start using my Water Water Fruit, and after half a month, Suijin.' [A/N: Suijin is the name of his sword, for those who forgot about it.]

Levi is confident to survive in the 'Lawless Town' because in the month that passed, his physical fitness increased very quickly. He wasn't a beginner at Observation Haki anymore and could be considered proficient, but it seemed that something was lacking. Perhaps, everything left to master his Observation Haki was actual combat.

Of course, mastery is extremely relative. Levi had heard of people who could even see a bit of the near future through their Observation Haki, and he was truly far away from that. What Levi wanted was an initial mastery which would open the way to complete mastery!

No one would become strong if they were raised in a house full of flowers, but needed to grow through battles where thorns would pierce them. To truly become strong, true combat was inevitable!

As Levi slowly organized his thoughts, their ship finally arrived at the island. Many lines of sight were attracted to them, more specifically to their ship. The Lawless Island, as it is named, has no laws.

It is also known as a Sea Divider, because it is at the border between the West Blue and the East Blue. Nobody can come here accidentally, they are either exiled or come here to sharpen themselves. A good summary is: No good soul is on this island.

As such, these lines of sight were curious about what kind of person would arrive next. When they saw that it was a very handsome youngster with a refined temperament and a humanoid leopard, many of them narrowed their eyes. In the Lawless Town, nobody could be judged by their appearance.

Even the most beautiful woman could be as vicious as a snake, and the most innocent-looking person could be extremely ruthless, as vicious as a lion. As the ship finally arrived at the island, wooden stairs connected to the ground from the ship's floor.

Under many stares, the newcomers Levi and Leo set foot at the island. But before they could thank the good seas for finally getting them to land, the sound of bullets being fired was heard.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Many bullets were suddenly shot towards the duo, and just as Leo prepared to cut the bullets with his sharp claws, thin needles made out of water floated around them. They accurately pierced the bullets, who were just a few inches from piercing them.

''Oh, it seems that it's a Devil Fruit user this time?'' A voice slowly entered their ears, and though the voice was calm, hurried footsteps were heard. It was as if the person who shot was very afraid, and ran away.

Levi smiled slightly, he naturally knows that the bullets shot were just a test. If you can't even fight against bullets, how can you even dare to come to this island? You'll just follow the footsteps of the weak, turning into bones that become nutrient for the ground!

But Levi didn't like the test at all, he had just appreciated the goodness of land again, and someone interrupted him. Terrifying waves erupted inside his eyes, and his dark blue eyes showed a cold glint.

The range of his Observation Haki expanded slowly, and found the person who was running away in a hurry, just around twenty meters away. Levi slowly stretched his hand forward, and a blue whip made out of water shot towards that person!

''Water Whip.'' Levi said leisurely, and the whip wrapped the person's neck and slowly dragged the person towards him. His finger slowly touched the person's forehead, and under that person terrified expression, a bloody hole appeared.

''That... It's the Evil Sniper John Johnic?!'' Someone exclaimed in a low tone, ''That's someone worth over 30.000.000 Beli, but there was not even a trace of resistance? He was killed instantly!''

In the next moment, that person fell to the ground with a loud thud, and only a deep silence was left in the surroundings. Everyone who was watching felt scared, and understood what the youngster was doing.

Establishing prestige!
