4 Chapter 4 - King of the Sea

''Let's go, Kitty! There is so much of the world for us to explore, we can't limit ourselves to a mere island!'' Levi said excitedly, his deep blue eyes seemed to be contaminated with terrifying waves.
Kitty's mouth also curled up to a smile, and he was looking forward to what mysteries the sea would bring them. The two of them sat on the small boat, and started driving it out of the island they previously were in. They didn't forget to bring spare food. [A/N: As written, Kitty is a male, so he'll be talked to as a 'he'. I know you horny ones were expecting him to be a female, PLOT TWIST, OHOHOHOHO!]
In that case, Levi's fruit proved to be extremely useful. He manipulated the water within the sea, and brought out the salt contained within it, which would preserve the food for much longer!
Yes, seawater!
In one of the fights with Kitty, Levi 'accidentally' fell into the sea and discovered by 'coincidence' that he is immune to seawater. Even, he gets a lot stronger in a water body than when he's inland! His five senses are strengthened, and so is his body!
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that the water is his domain, quite literally. He even developed a move underwater, which he called 'Ryujin Mode'. It was originally an unconscious form that appeared without his control when he was underwater.
But over the past week or so, he was able to fully control it. He was able to use it not only in the sea, but also on the land! Of course, it was stronger in the sea, as it should be by rights.
''Levi, I feel something approaching us.'' Kitty suddenly reminded, his hair standing up sharply, as if great danger was nearing it. Levi also nodded, and as his body entered the sea, his eyes saw a huge shark approaching their boat.
His eyes shrank after seeing it, and his body instinctively felt the danger. However, Levi wasn't afraid in the slightest, ''To think that a Sea King would appear in such shallow waters, in the East Blue?''
At the same time, a wide smile suddenly appeared at Levi's mouth, and his voice was transmitted through the water directly to Kitty's ears, ''Kitty, let me show you today what my full power at water is!''
Beautiful light blue scales covered his whole body like a armor, a small deep blue dragon-like horn protruding from the top of his forehead appeared, and his pupils became slit. A lizard tail appeared on his back, and Levi's teeth became sharper as if they could devour even steel.
His slim but muscular body seemed to have become taller, and Levi's eyes seemed to be as peaceful as gentle waves of water. However, as his eyes stared at the incoming Sea King, it suddenly felt great fear. It was as if an overbearing wave of power descended at it, and its red eyes like blood showed deep fear.
It seemed to feel the arrival of a King! Just as it wanted to turn around an run, Levi showed a smile, and his peaceful eyes showed terrifying waves enough to devour an entire island!
While underwater, Levi raised his sword and with extreme speed, it slashed down! It seemed that even the air was cut, as a thin line of water condensed from the slash went towards the Sea King.
The thin line of water seemed to enlarge infinitely, taking the form of a serpentine-like dragon. Before the Sea King could react, its body was split in two, dying the sea all-around with red blood.
As the sword returned to its sheath, Levi muttered, ''Ittoryu: Leviathan!''
In the next moment, even the sea seemed to have been split in two. Without hesitation, Levi took the huge Sea King corpse and cut it in multiple pieces before saying with a smile to the dumbfounded Kitty, ''We will be having dinner now, Kitty!''
Levi was also very exhausted, that move took a huge deal of power out of him. His body seemed to be hollowed out, which is why he decided to eat the Sea King as dinner. With this attack, he was able to kill a Sea King stronger than him, but it was under three conditions.
The Sea King was shocked by his momentum, he was stronger at water, and he used his whole body's power at that single attack. If the Sea King survived, perhaps they would have passed through a bitter battle.
Though... Even Levi didn't understand how he made the Sea King afraid of him, he was satisfied. [A/N: Yes, Levi has Haoshoku no Haki (Conqueror's Haki) and knowledge about it. But after all, he has never seen it, and can't identify it yet. I just ask patience, oho ho ho ho ho ho~.]
He could obviously use such an attack many times if he weakened its power, but it wasn't very effective against such opponents.
At the same time, Levi finished cooking the meat after creating fire by colliding two rocks repeatedly and started munching on the food in a desperate manner. It was like he hadn't eaten anything for months, but he had obviously filled his belly a few moments ago!
