11 Chapter 11 - An unstoppable Anger

''Oh? It seems that you know about me!'' Laffitte said with a polite smile, before elegantly sitting down on a chair. Levi was slightly surprised, he heard that this person was extremely evil and unnecessarily cruel, but it seems that they were wrong.

Well, maybe not. The trace of blood on Laffitte's hands really exposed him, and Levi imaginarily sweated, you really can't judge by appearance. But a smile soon appeared on his face, ''So, what is a good sir like you doing on my humble room?''

Laffitte's smile seemed to get slightly wider as he heard Levi's words, and a thin sword was unsheathed from the cane he was holding. With great speed, many shadows suddenly pierced towards Levi like a lance!

But Levi didn't seem to want to dodge at all, and just let the shadows pierce him. His body that was previously flesh and blood suddenly became a blue liquid, like water. All of sudden, the shadows stopped as Laffitte nodded elegantly, ''It seems that the rumors are true, Zen D. Levi! You have a Logia about Water!''

Smiling slightly, Levi didn't say anything, but shook his head positively, ''There are rumors that you were exiled from your job as a sheriff from being excessively cruel, which is why you were nicknamed Demon Sheriff.''

From the very beginning, Levi never planned to hide his Logia. [A/N: May seem like a bad thing to do, but like... It's not like you can hide control over water in a place where literally the entire world is the sea, with the only ground territory are islands.]

''You know, I don't really mind someone like you. In fact, I prefer people like you who don't hide their true selves. I also heard that you're a pretty good navigator, so let me ask you a question...''

''Wanna join my crew?'' Levi said leisurely, it didn't seem like he was asking for an extremely vicious person to join his crew, but that he was asking the price of the food he ate a few moments ago.

''Kihihihi...'' Laffitte laughed creepily, assisted by the shadows covering the upper half of his face, ''I think that you're very interesting, Zen D. Levi! But... That's not enough, let me return you a question, then!''

''Why should I join your crew?''

''...'' Levi was slightly speechless.

''Uh, cos' we can have fun in the sea or something like that?'' He said after pondering seriously for a few minutes.

''...'' It was Laffitte's turn to be speechless, did he seriously wait a few minutes of tension for such a bad reason?! However, a smile appeared on his face, 'Interesting, Zen D. Levi! You're truly an interesting person!'

His creepy smile soon became polite, and so Laffitte said, ''You're very interesting, Zen D. Levi, or should I say...''

Somewhere within Mary Geoise, a black-haired man held a wanted poster tightly in his hand. Crystal-like liquids fell on the poster, tears that fell from his eyes. That man is Howard Ethan, the leader of the Howard family, one of the noblest Celestial Dragons!

It was almost unimaginable that one of the strongest humans, who stands at the top of the world, was crying at this moment. All because of a poster showing a light blue-haired youngster with dark blue eyes, looking at the seemingly endless sea.

He had been paying attention to the East Blue, because that was where Levi was exiled at. Ethan knows that there were only two ends for Levi: Pirate, or Death.

Becoming a marine was the same as sending himself to death, and bounty hunter wasn't much different from that as well. So Levi only had two options: Becoming a pirate, or dying in an unknown place, forgotten to eternity.

And Levi took the first option, becoming a pirate. But Ethan was crying exactly because of that, his only son had become what he didn't want, but not because of his own selfish desires.

''The Will of D.'' Ethan's tears suddenly stopped dripping down, and deep bitterness appeared on his face, ''In the end... I couldn't stop you from having that fate. I- I couldn't let you have a peaceful life.''

''Just a month passed since the two of you left, but it seems that over a year. I miss you so much.''

''Ana...'' Ethan muttered before looking up at the sky, with deep anger flashing by his black-colored eyes. Dark clouds gathered, and thick lightning fell at the sea, causing strong waves. It instantly alerted many of the powerful World Nobles, ''It seems that Lord Ethan is angry, I wonder who is the unlucky one.''

A breeze enveloped Ethan's body, and his body rose in the air, ''I have endured a lot, my wife has been killed. My son has followed the Will of D.''

''Do you treat me as nothingness? Should I remind you, should I let you remember my power?'' Ethan's voice was full of anger, and golden lightning fell from the dark clouds. The powerful World Nobles heard him, and beads of cold sweat fell down from their forehead.

Nobody knew why Howard Ethan, who had always been an extremely calm World Noble, was angered. Nobody knew who he was talking to, nor did they know if there was a specific World Noble who was going to be targeted by him.

But if there was one thing that the powerful World Nobles knew was that his anger was going to be unstoppable. Not even that 'person' was enough to stop the anger.

Red eyes like blood were manifested, and they stared at Howard Ethan who was floating, surrounded by golden lightning. Ripples of fear appeared inside these red eyes because a taboo had been touched. The only taboo he feared.

A deep voice full of anger was transmitted to his ears, ''You've passed the limits I set to myself. Now, bear the consequences.''

''Golden Punishment.''

[Author Note: Yeah, I know many of you must be like wth. I can't explain anything now, because that would be a spoiler, but just know that everything has its time to be explained. This is obviously something that did not exist in the original plot of One Piece, so you can regard this as an ''alternative universe'' if that makes it easier for you guys to understand.]
