Arousing from Slumber

[Lexus Tristan's POV]

I sat in the dimly lit CCTV room, my eyes fixed on the screens displaying various areas of the sprawling Bendeta Mansion. It was my duty as one of the elite security guards to keep a watchful eye on this luxurious property, even though the Bendeta family had not yet moved in.

As I studied the screens, my gaze lingered on the storage room located on the second floor underground. The room held the mysterious contents that had intrigued the family enough to invest in this mansion. What could be so valuable, I wondered, that it warranted hiring a small army of security guards?

Suddenly, the peaceful silence was shattered by a loud crash, echoing through the mansion's corridors. My heart skipped a beat as I instinctively reached for my radio to alert my fellow guards. A sense of foreboding washed over me, urging me to investigate the disturbance.

Rushing through the labyrinthine hallways, I arrived at the source of the noise—a partially open door leading to the storage room. I cautiously pushed it open, stepping into the darkness that engulfed the room. My flashlight pierced through the shadows, revealing rows of dusty boxes and, to my surprise, seven human-sized mascot dolls standing in a neat formation.

The dolls, once innocent figures of joy, now emanated an unsettling aura. Their stitched smiles appeared twisted and malevolent, as if harboring a deep-seated anger. I felt an eerie presence surround me, as if invisible eyes were watching my every move.

Curiosity mingled with apprehension as I approached the dolls. Just as I was about to reach out and examine them further, a sudden gust of wind extinguished my flashlight, plunging me into complete darkness. A spine-chilling whisper pierced the silence, resonating from the shadows. "Justice... We seek justice."

My heart raced, my instincts telling me to flee. But I couldn't abandon my duty or my fellow guards. Summoning my courage, I fumbled for my radio, attempting to call for backup. Before I could utter a word, the dolls sprang to life, their lifeless eyes now glowing with an unholy light. With inhuman speed, they lunged toward me, their movements unnaturally fluid.

Panic surged through my veins as I dodged their frenzied attacks, narrowly avoiding their claw-like hands. I realized I couldn't fight them alone. I retreated, racing through the mansion's corridors. The dolls pursued me relentlessly, their haunting laughter echoing through the grand halls. My heart pounded in my chest as I desperately sought refuge, aware that the fate of the mansion and its secrets rested on my shoulders.

As I sprinted toward the security room, I prayed that my fellow guards would be ready to face the unimaginable horrors lurking within these walls. The battle between good and evil had just begun, and I found myself at the center of a chilling struggle for justice, unaware of the dark secrets yet to be unveiled.
