2 Impure

Noah looked on in horror as a strange voice suddenly sounded in front of him.

Noah didn't respond to the strange voice in front of him as he still stared fixedly at his phone.

He took a deep breath, turned around immediately, and hurriedly returned to his seat.

"What's the matter, young man?"

It spoke behind him again, except this time the sound was a little odd, a little more frightening.

Noah came to a halt as cold sweat rolled down his forehead, his heartbeat accelerated, and he struggled to breathe as he kept holding his cross strapped around his neck.

"I'm talking to you, young man; turn around and speak to me,"

The lights on the buses seemed to flicker as a large shadow can be seen at the back of the bus, its nails grew longer, and her hair seemed disheveled in the shadow.

the shadowy figure creeps up behind him, the shadow shown at the back of the bus appears to grow smaller and smaller. Noah can sense the figure's breath as it approaches his ear and speaks to him.

"Why aren't you turning around, young man? Aren't I beautiful?"

Noah felt shivers down his neck and closed his eyes, his body shaking uncontrollably.

Its hands slipped into Noah's shoulder and crept up to his ear.

Suddenly.

The lights abruptly turned off.

The bus was completely silent, and Noah didn't hear the figure calling out to him from behind.

There is complete silence!

Complete silence in the bus as if that shadowy figure is just the figment of his imagination.

Noah shook his head in the bus and waited for a few seconds to pass while he thought fearfully.

"Thankfully, it's no longer there, but what the hell was that thing?"

Noah gulped and tightened his grasp on the cross around his neck, his knuckles turning white.

As Noah relaxed, the light on the bus came back on.

He opened his eyes and looked at them in front of him.

Horror!

Noah's eyes were filled with indescribable horror, and he took a step back, unable to utter a single sound.

There he saw, that thing!

It seems to be smiling with its mouth drenched red like blood.

Noah's mouth had dried up and his throat had become clogged with saliva, and a few indistinguishable sounds could be heard from it.

That thing stared into Noah's eyes, and Noah's terrified expression returned the stare.

He noticed its eyes were almost white, with a few tinges of red at the corners.

It seems to be a lady dressed in a black gown, with unusual body dimensions, as if the bones had been fractured and rearranged.

Noah gasped in horror, every cell in his body screaming to flee, terror was coursing through his veins.

It ran to Noah full speed and arrived instantly at his face.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

"HEY, YOUNG MAN! Wake up, young man!"

As he cried louder and louder, Noah felt his body being touched.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

He felt his body being shaken up and he was about to scream again.

"CRACK"

Noah heard something cracked and he woke up.

He stared at the man in front of him, it was the bus driver waking him up.

His body is drenched with sweat, and his frame is visible through his clothing.

He stared at the man in horror, remembering that the driver of the bus had once been this elderly man with white sideburns.

"Yo...Are you?"

The old man disrupted what Noah said by saying,

"Young man, the bus arrived at its final destination a few minutes ago, and I was about to go home when I recalled that a young man boarded the bus earlier and did not get off."

The old man stopped in his words as he stared at the young man in front of him, terrified as if he had seen a ghost.

When Noah listened to the old man about what had happened to him, he gradually relaxed.

The old man gave him a moment to catch his breath before continuing.

"I pulled over to the side of the road and checked on you; you were drenched in a cold sweat and sleeping on the seat, your muscles tense and you had trouble breathing; I didn't know what to do, so I woke you up."

Noah realized that he was the last person on the bus and that he may have fallen asleep earlier, which resulted in a nightmare.

Noah shakily rubbed his head with his hands and said,

"Thank you very much, sir, for waking me up; I was having a nightmare."

The old man heard Noah's words and sighed in relief, he thought that the young man had gone into cardiac arrest.

"Young man, you must have had a really vivid nightmare because you were sweating too badly,"

Noah kept his breathing under control and responded with terror in his eyes.

"Yes, sir, I really did; it was a terrifying nightmare, and I will never want to be inside it again."

Noah replied and he added.

"Sir, I have a question for you, is that all right?"

When he saw the young man was in good health, the old man smiled in a friendly manner.

When he learned that the young man had a concern, he made a motion to proceed.

"Have you seen the couple who boarded the bus after me, Sir? What happened to them?"

The old man can be seen thinking as he stares at the bus's roof, recalling what the young man described to him.

"What about the couple? Yeah, I thought I saw them, they got off the bus an hour ago, why?"

Noah was relieved in his heart after hearing what the old man had just said, and he felt much happier than before.

"It's nothing, important Sir."

"Where are you from, young man? I will drive you home because it's late at night and you seem to be in poor health, so how does that sound?"

Noah, immediately declined because he couldn't accept the old man's kind offer because he could tell the old man was exhausted just from looking at him.

"Don't be shy, young man; I'm not some poor old man out to take advantage of you,"

The old man said in a worried manner.

Noah couldn't refuse any longer because the old man seemed to be sincerely caring about him, so he nodded to indicate that all was fine.

Noah sent the old man directions to his house and sat in the front seat of the bus, joking with him to pass the time.

Noah and the Old Man chatted for a few hours because his home was far away and he had nothing to do.

Noah arrived at his home's bus stop quickly, and his house isn't far from here.

The old man looked at Noah and said,

"Noah, you take care; be sure to get home soon, it's getting late,"

Noah gave the old man a nod and said,

"Well, thank you very much, Sir Albert; I owe you one."

"You don't owe this old man anything; I just helped out some young man who seems to be in trouble; anyhow, you should get going; you can't stay here for long."

Noah took money from his pocket and gave it to the old man.

The old man examined the money and saw that the amount was staggering.

If the old man had taken this money, it would have sufficed to cover his expenses for several months.

The old man listened to Noah as he shook his head.

"I'm not here to take your money, young man; just give me the exact fare for the trip back and forth, no extras."

Noah hesitated but quickly relented when the old man became enraged at him.

"See you later, Sir Albert, and once again, thank you."

The old man can be seen waving his hand in goodbye to Noah.

Noah turned around to glance at the old man and, having seen him board the bus again to begin his ride back home, he sighed in relief.

"That Old Man Albert sure is nice; I should give him a gift as a thank you tomorrow,"

Noah thought in gratitude.

A young man is seen walking on the pathway in the middle of the night, with no one in sight in the distance.

It's around 12:30 a.m., it's already getting late.

The moonlight is obscured by the clouds, and the entire area is enveloped in darkness.

Noah's footsteps can be distinctly heard late at night.

The streetlights emit a halo around themselves.

A few bugs can be heard buzzing around the streetlights as it looked for warmth.

A few rustles of leaves can be seen right beside Noah.

"CRACK"

A few patches of leaves being cracked are heard at Noah's back as if they are being stepped on.

Noah turned around and didn't see anyone walking.

He came to a halt, and the sound of footsteps came to a halt as well.

He walked and the footsteps start again.

An unseen hand suddenly touched Noah on the shoulder.
