01 [T] Meeting him while drunk

*Wedding bells ringing*

The guests inside the church all stands up as the ushers announce the arrival of the bride.

When the doors opened, they were greeted by the sight of a gorgeous-looking woman, dressed in a stunning off-shoulder wedding dress designed with laces and sky-blue colored diamonds that shimmered in the light. As she slowly walks past them, the guests can't help but to feel at awe. The groom was surely lucky to marry such a beautiful bride.

Valerina Bree never thought that her life would finally come to this stage. She always thought that she'd be single and never thought that she would be marrying one of the hottest bachelors of the country, James Gold. Just yesterday, she was Valerina Bree Jackson. Now, she's Valerina Bree Jackson-Gold.

She met James in a bar when she went bar-hopping with her friends. That time, she was still heartbroken from her recent breakup and her friends suggested that they should go have some fun to make her relax and take her mind out of things. Of course, she knows that it was just an excuse they made up just so that they could go bar-hopping. On their last bar, she never thought that she'd come to meet with one of the hottest bachelors.

She was seated by the counter with some of her friends while the others were dancing in the dance floor. Then, she was invited -- okay, maybe forced to join them. And just as any typical almost-drunk woman would do, she danced like there was no end and with no care and made out with some guy in the dance floor. I mean, she was drunk okay?! She could barely walk straight.

After that, she decided to retire from dancing then went to get a drink, not after going to the washroom to freshen herself up and make herself sober. Then, she left to order tequila shots and made herself drunk again in just after three shots. Then again, she never really had a high tolerance for alcohol.

On that moment, while she was being silly from being drunk, someone sat beside her. It was man. She looked at him and they gave each other a perfunctory nod. Due to drunkenness, her eyesight was kind of blurry and hazy so, she couldn't recognize the man beside her.

Then the man started talking, "Hi, I just wanna ask, are you perhaps heartbroken?"

"Why? Is it that obvious?" she replied.

"Well..., seeing that you look quite drunk and that mascara is running down your face and having a running nose proves that you were crying. Plus, I heard you talking to yourself angrily like you were blaming someone and sometimes I'd here you say that your heart was hurting. Given from the clues, it wasn't hard to guess that you were crying because someone broke your heart and now you're making yourself drunk to forget the pain." he said these while making a 'duh' look. Valerina was starting to think that maybe she was conversing with a detective.

"Wow! You're good!" she said with an audible chuckle. "Yup! You're correct. I am heartbroken. You see, there was this jerk who cheated with some chick---" without noticing it, she started pouring all her grievances out from her breakup. An hour passed by and they were still talking to each other.

"People come and people go. Don't worry, you'll meet plenty of new people. Also, there's a lot of guys out there, so I'm sure you'll meet the right one for you. Hey, how about this, while you haven't met that person yet, why don't you just enjoy the course of life, go with the flow and dance with me in the dance floor?"

"Sure! Why not?" she agreed. Then, both of them went to the dance floor. Being a dancer during her younger days, Valerina's body was naturally lithe plus the fact that she was wearing a sexy outfit, her aura changed from depressing to sexy and alluring. She was basically emanating female pheromones that would make men around her crazy for her. James wasn't bad at dancing himself. Having two dancers with impeccable dancing skills plus, both of them have good looks, it wasn't a long time before they garnered the attention of the other people.

Suddenly, the music changed. It changed from lively to kind of romantic and sensual. "To the couples out there in the dance floor, please enjoy this lovely moment to dance with your partners." announced the DJ into the mic.

"Well, I guess we should leave." said Valerina.

"Why?" James asked.

"Isn't it obvious? We're not a couple."

"Just because we're not a couple doesn't mean that we can't enjoy this lovely moment and dance to this music. And if you don't mind, we can become one." James said with a grin.

"Are you saying?...*chuckle* But we barely even know each other. Plus, we don't even know each other's names."

"Then, let's start with greetings. Hi, my name's James Gold. Would you mind to give me this lovely dance?" James asked with a handsome smile.

'Oh My God! This man in front of me is James Gold! THE James Gold! One of the hottest bachelors in the country!' Of course she didn't say it out loud. It was just a thought.

"Hi! mine's Valerina. And I'd love to. It would be my pleasure." Valerina replied confidently.

Finally arriving at the altar, she and James faces the priest.

"Friends and family, we are gathered here today for this special occasion. The joining of bonds between the groom and bride." with this sentence, the ceremony starts. then the priest took this moment to emphasize the significance of the vows that the groom and bride are about to exchange. The priest also included a reminder of their duties and roles in marriage. Next are the vows, the ring exchange, and then;

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." the priest said with a smile.

Facing each other, James slowly raises the veil covering Valerina's face. Then, both of them shared their first kiss as a married couple.
