2 Watame and the Elf

In the night, within a dense, green forest, also known as the devil's forest for having large numbers of monsters, a slender hooded figure ran between the tree branches with great speed. From the slender body and the volume of the chest, even with the hood, one can tell that the person is a woman.

The hooded woman stopped on a branch and looked back and then sighed, ''I think I lost them, finally. These bastards have been after me for days...''

With relief, the woman climbed down from the tree trunk and fell to the ground. After that, she started walking calmly in the same direction she was running before.

''So this is the devil's forest. Isn't this forest called that because it has monsters everywhere? I've been running for a long time, and I haven't encountered any monster yet, that's suspicious...''

The woman, realizing the strange situation in the forest, began to walk more cautiously, trying to walk quietly and slowing down her breathing.

''Hm? What is that?''

A little further along, she saw smoke in the sky, meaning either something is on fire, or someone really insane has decided to make a fire pit in the middle of a forest.

Suspiciously, she started walking towards the smoke to check the situation, ''Sigh*, Why am I going there in the first place? My day is getting better and better....''

It took some time to get close to the spot, getting close, she crouched down and ducked into a nearby bush to keep out of sight. From inside the bush, she looked around and saw a bonfire burning.

''It looks like someone is really crazy enough to camp in one of the most dangerous forests in this country.....'' the woman whispered.

Next to the fire, there was a strange girl eating something strange. The girl wore a dress that appeared to be made entirely of white wool, while on her back she had a pink cape. But what surprised the woman were the horns on the girl's head.

'Demon-Race? No, besides the horns, she look like a normal girl, maybe a demi-human?' The woman thought.

The woman was pretty sure she was a demi-human, as she doesn't have the bluish-black skin and blood-red eyes that demons do. And she wasn't human either, as she had horns on her head.

'In this case, I think it's okay to show up, unlike demons and humans, demi-humans are mostly good people, and I can see the innocence and curiosity in this girl's eyes, like a child.' She thought with a small smile on her face.

Making up her mind, she left the bush and headed towards the girl at the fire. Hearing her approach, the girl looked curiously at the sound of the noise, and their eyes met.

''I'm sorry but I'd like to share the fire if that's okay with you....?''

''Sure~, There's plenty of space near Watame!'' The girl replied with an innocent smile.

Seeing the warm, welcoming smile of the girl who is probably named Watame, the woman can't help but feel comfortable.

''Thank you, the night is quite cold. My name is Silva by the way.'' Said the woman taking off her hood. After taking off her hood, she sat down next to Watame.

Silva had dark skin, and had white eyes and hair, which gave a great contrast to the color of her skin, and her ears were long and pointed, pointed upwards, showing that she was an elf.

''Hooh~'' Watame said with admiration, ''You look like Flare-chan!''

''Flare...?''

''Flare-chan is my friend! She's the only elf Watame know's, that's before Watame met you! Maybe you are sisters?'' Watame said excitedly.

''Hehehe, I see, but no, I don't have a sister named Flare.'' Silva giggled at Watame's cute excitement.

Watame's excitement immediately vanished, causing her to go back to eating her potatoes.

''So Watame, you are... a demi-human, right?''

*Chunch*

''Huh? Dewmi-humwa? Wawtame Ish Shewep.''

''Erm, Watame, could you swallow it before you speak?'' Watame paused for a moment, before nodding her head.

*Gulp*

''Watame doesn't know what demi-human is, Watame is a sheep!'' Watame said proudly with her chest puffed out.

''No, I clearly can see that you have a human form, there's no way you can be an sheep.''

''Watame is a sheep!''

''I'm saying that-''

'' Watame, sheep!

''You are-''

''Sheep!''

''I'm-''

''Méééé!''

''Ok, alright... changing the subject, why are you here? Don't you know this forest is dangerous?''

''Watame doesn't know, Watame woke up in a pasture near this forest, so Watame kept walking until Watame got here.'' Watame replied, mainly focused on eating the chips.

'She does not know? And she woke up close to this place? Maybe someone tried to teleport her as some kind of trap?' Silva thought curiously.

''If you're not from here, then where are you from?''

''Watame is from Japan!''

'Japan? Never heard of this place. Maybe it's a continent that hasn't been discovered yet? After all, random teleports aren't rare.'

''Sorry but I don't recognize this name, I'm afraid you've been teleported far away from home.'' Silva said sadly, informing Watame of her situation.

''Eh? No way.....'' Watame dropped the packet of chips and got on all fours facing the floor with a pained expression.

Silva, feeling sorry for the poor girl, massaged Watama's back comfortably, '' It's okay, I'm sure you can go home.''

She says that, but it's probably impossible for her to go back, after all, not even Silva knows where this place called Japan is.

''Wa.....Wa....!''

''Huh?'' Hearing Watame mutter, Silva moved closer to Watame's face.

''Watame.....Watame's potato chips....ran out!'' Muttered Watame with a face of despair while shaking.

Silva looked at the girl in amazement that the priority of the girl was food, and not going home, 'Is this girl serious?!'
