He had everything he could possibly have. He has climbed the pinnacle of fame, power, influence and wealth. He has achieved everything with sweat, blood, and tears. He should be happy... but he isn't. He remembers all the people he stepped on with his greed. He remembers all the people he put down to climb above them. He remembers all his friends and family, he either ignored, betrayed or used. He remembered her, how he destroyed her life.
