10 I knew it

As, the caravan moved from the village towards the straight road to the city. The beautiful morning had changed into hot noon. As, for our travellers they stopped at the side of the path for resting eating some food.

" Milan come and help us in making tents", asked my father.

After I heard my father I went towards him and started helping him in making tents and other works.

"Father when will we reach the city."

"We will reach the city tomorrow"

After hearing him, I felt shocked because we have to travelled that long to reach the city" That long."

"Yep, we live in a rural area, so it takes much time to reach the city."father said happily.

"Isn't there any other city or town near us."

"Well there used to be a town near us but it was destroyed by the monsters," he said very regretfully.

After that we didn't talk much and finished all the works after that we waited for the food to be prepared. As we waited I looked at the other people, they were also preparing food but compare to ours their foods looked delicious especially the merchant's and the beautiful girl. I noticed that among the 35 people of the caravan before we joined 12 belong to the beautiful girl and the rest to the merchant. And there was no co-operation between them.

As I looked at them I became worried thinking about the happenings that will happen ahead according to my novel senses.

"Are you okay," father asked me after seeing me worried.

"Umm..is it really safe travelling with them," I said looking at the two groups.

After I said that father also looked towards them and said in reassuring tone" Don't worry nothing will happen, even if something happens you got me and other uncles from the village."

As he said that I looked towards the uncles and they smiled at me and seeing those smiles I thought" If something happens let it happen, I have people who will protect me," and smiled.

Just like Milan there was another person who was rather worried seeing the lack of co-operation in the caravan.

"Teacher will it be safe travelling with them," the beautiful girl said while looking at the two separate groups.

" Well...it is not safe but I think we will face too much danger in this caravan," the handsome guy said while looking towards the villagers group.

After she heard that she was rather bewildered and asked" Why do you think that teacher."

"Hmmm...let's say my warrior instinct kicked when I look at the villager groups especially that man and the young boy," handsome guy replied after thinking carefully.

"Huh!!..them aren't they just some villagers from the rural areas," beautiful girl said while looking down on the villagers.

"That's why I said that," handsome guy said in a displeased tone.

The beautiful girl was surprised after seeing her teacher's displeased face and didn't talk anymore and waited for the food to be prepared while staring at the villagers group especially the young boy.

As, I was waiting the food to be prepared, I started sneezing out of nowhere. After sneezing for a while , I felt like someone was staring at me and I looked left and right to find out who until my eyes met with the eyes of the beautiful girl. And again my novel senses kicked and I though"Is this really happening". After that I looked to her side and found out that the handsome guy was also staring at me, seeing him staring at me was very very uncomfortable. And shifted my vision to the beautiful girl and then to the handsome guy and towards the front and shake my head and prayed to the Almighty God" Plz don't let it happen."

And then our food were prepared, as for our food it was the same old bread, soup and some meat and I got to eat the best meat as the grown ups gave me. And after having our food we packed up everything and started our journey to the city.

It has been hours since we started our journey, the hot noon has gone and the cool evening has come. But we couldn't enjoy this cool evening because we are in the middle of the forest path and the sunlight is decreasing and we can hear different sounds of beast and monster. As we moved on, I began to feel some uneasiness and told my father and uncles" Father and uncles be ready."

After hearing me say that everyone was baffled and asked" What."

I said hurriedly in an uneasy tone" I think something will happen."

"What will happen" father asked looking worried.

"I don't n.." as I was about to tell them our carriage stopped not only our carriage but the whole caravan stopped.

As the whole caravan stopped everyone came out of the carriage and looked at the front and saw that a big tree has fallen and blocked the road. After I saw that fallen tree, I thought"This is the oldest trick" and said to father"Bandits."

"Bandits." after hearing me say that father shouted and got ready to fight. And hearing his sound everyone in our group got in battle stance as for others they didn't believe and went to push the tree away. Until..

Swoosh...Swoosh...Swoosh...Swoosh..thud..thud..thud..thud. And Uwoooohhhhhh...

After those sound many bandits came out of the trees and attacked our caravan. There were about 20 bandits coming in from the left side where we were in battle ready form. And the bandits, they didn't have well equipment just some had broken armour, rusted swords,etc. With such equipment those 20 bandits came to us who were in battle-formation with 3 shield-man in front,4 swords and spear man in the middle and 3-archers at the back.

Seeing those bandits coming to us with such killing intent made me tremble with fear. And when I was in fear I heard someone voice from the side.

"Don't worry kid, think it as fighting against goblins and you will be okay and also sorry for getting you in such trouble," uncle2 said while showing a sorry face.

"It's okay I will be fine and no need to feel sorry since it's better for me to face it as sooner than later," saying that I firmly stand in my position.

Hearing what I said made everyone laugh"Hahahaha..then be ready and firm."

Swoosh..Swoosh..Swoosh..like that many arrows were coming from my back and killing bandits. And after the front was clear the two shield uncle moved and attacked the bandits and seeing them moved I was about to move when other uncles from my back moved and blocked other bandits leaving only one bandits for me too fight. And that poor bandit didn't know what to do and was about to attack the uncles.

"You are facing me," saying like that I attacked the bandit and pierced his thigh.

"FUCKING BRAT" shouting like that he slashed his sword at me.

I blocked his slash but I was pushed back and seeing me getting pushed back the bandit charged at me swing his sword horizontally, seeing his swing I ducked and than I pierced him with my spear from the stomach and killed him.

Level up

Was what I heard but I didn't pay attention to it as I joined with one of the uncle who was facing two bandits at the same time and was on defence. As I was charging at one of the bandits he stoped his fight and charged at me.

Seeing him charged at me I just smiled and threw my spear directly to its head and well he ducked and dodged it but that spear went on and it pierced the side stomach of the other bandit giving the tight opportunity for killing him. As for the ducking bandit, once he stood again what awaited him was my flying knee straight in his face and he just like that flew few inches and dropped down not moving a bit. I went towards him and licked his sword and killed him.

And than I joined other uncles and we pretty easily finished those 20 bandits. And while killing them I gained another two level. After that we decided to help other group in fighting. As, we all looked whom to help we discovered like us the beautiful girls group have already killed all the bandits coming after them and are attending to their injured ones. And among them the beautiful girl was removing all the blood from her two rapiers and the handsome guy was cover with blood and he looked at me like the last time but this time he looked more dangerous so avoided his gaze and followed father and uncles in helping the merchant's group.

Compare to other the merchant's group was heavily attacked as it had the largest number of men. And the result more than half of them were killed and other with many wounds. As for the bandits they still had about 20 members. And when we joined the fight it became easy.

As compare to others I was a kid so bandits came after me but me...buhahhahahaha..I have knowledge of various martial arts, so how can I get overwhelmed. And like that one bandit came and he stabbed his spear at me I just side-stepped and smash my shield in his spear breaking it in half and stabbing my own spear and killing him. After killing that bandit another bandit took his opportunity and slashed at my stomach. And he got a clean hit but unfortunately his rusted sword couldn't pierce my leather armour but still it hurt a lot and I just suck it up and used my skill and directly smashed his head and with a crack he was killed.

Level up

Like that we finished all the bandits. And as for our losses, from merchant's group 7 killed, 3 seriously injured and our 4 light injuries including me, as for the beautiful girls group apparently they don't have any injuries and they even killed the bandits head.

After that instead of helping the seriously wounded people we just hurriedly moved the fallen tree and left that place because blood will attract more monsters. And also I didn't forget to grab those precious coins. And altogether I grabbed about 2 golds and 4 silvers.

And after travelling for a short distance we come up to a place where many travellers make camp. And once we made tents and eat food and went to sleep. While in my bed I couldn't help but think all of the faces of the bandits I killed and it made me pale. But I couldn't let this get to me because in future I may have to kill more.

And like that in this cold night I slept thinking about my future.
