8 After 1 year

It was a wonderful day, the sun was as bright as always but the heat couldn't be felt as the soft breeze of the wind could be felt in the air which made the day very peaceful for the living beings. But in such a peaceful day deep inside the forest a hearty laughter of a child could be heard along with the agonising and painful sound of the monster which had disrupted the peaceful day of many living beings in the forest.

And inside the forest, near the place where those hearty and painful voice is coming, there many corpses of monsters could be found in all places like inside a hole pierced by countless wooden spikes, hanging upside down on the tree, corpses pierced by spears and many more. And among such carnage there one could see a young kid probably around 11 years surrounded by 4 goblins from all side but instead of being afraid of such situation the young kid was smiling while the goblins faces were full if fear like seeing a reaper coming straight from hell. And who could blame them as that small kid was the one who caused all this carnage.

"So you are not coming then here I come"

After saying that the kid instantly charged at the goblin in-front of him. And the kids speed was no joke as he reached the goblin in just two steps and stab his spear right at the heart of the goblin, as for that poor goblin he couldn't even react before everything turned black for him. As the kid killed the first goblin, the other three charged at him but the kid didn't stop after killing that goblin and kept on running and as the goblin were right behind the kid runt at the tree vertically and did a somersault and got right behind the goblins. Seeing the enemy which was in front of them getting behind them with such action bewildered the goblins and the kid once he landed just swung his spear horizontally and slashed all three goblins in half and just like that the battle finished.

Level Up

" Hahahahahaha finally I have level up, it's getting hard and hard to level up"

As I said that I looked at my status card to see the improvements in my stats.

"With this level up one of stats finally reached 50 and looks like my skill is improving but it's far from levelling up.", as I was in my thought I suddenly heard someone's step and got ready in my fighting stance.

"And here I thought you were in trouble but I was worried for nothing", said the voice.

After realising that the voice is of my father I relaxed and replied,

" Well we are still in the safe zone, so you didn't need to worry about it"

"You are right, but still you did a lot of carnage here"

"Hehehehe...it's just my trapped worked really and there were some foolish goblins who tried to steal those animals but I ambushed them from the tree"

"Hahahahaha..these poor goblins"

As we were chatting to each other suddenly we heard the rustling sound and then 6 brown shadows jumped outside of the bushes and stared at us like we were food.

" Well son looks like some uninvited guest came to make trouble for us".

" It's not the first time, we were interrupted".

" You are correct, so how do we fight them".

" Same as always I will take the front and you attack from behind".

" No problem for me".

After that I simply bring my shield in-front of me covering my body up to my mouth and my spear at the side of the shield and walked carefully towards the group of wolves. As I walked towards them the wolves weren't afraid of me but were looking at me with a disdainful eye. Well who could blame them as the one they were facing was a child and single man but they couldn't be any wrong and than they did the greatest mistake which brought them to their doom.

As I was walking towards the wolves carefully, one of the wolf ran and tried to bite me but I just blocked it with my shield and pierced it's stomach while he was biting mu shield. After it fall down I again pierced the wolf ending his life. Seeing one of their kin die the rest of the wolves became angry and were getting ready to attack me together. But before they could attack me, I heard a whoosh..whoosh..whoosh sound and the painful sound of the wolf.

After seeing 3 of the wolves getting injured and the rest two stunned I instantly charged at them and again I heard a whoosh..and than the three wolves dropped down. As, I was charging towards two wolves, they were also charging towards me showing their sharp teeth and fangs. And when we were about to clash I instantly stabbed my spear straight towards one the wolves who was opening his mouth to bite me, while I used my skill 'Shield Bash' against the other wolf. As the we all clashed, I was pushed back few matters with some numbing in my hands, one of the wolf was pierced from mouth to ass while the other wolf was smashed right into the tree and fainted after I hit it with my skill. Afterwards I killed the fainted wolf. And than I said to my father with a happy tone

" It was pretty easy".

" Of course it will be easy, we are still in the safe area "

" Can't you just praise me,father", I said in a displeased tone.

" Praising will make you arrogant", father said in a teaching tone.

" Grr...now let's go back to village before more trouble comes", I changed the subject before father goes to teaching mode.

"Okay", said father in an amused voice.

And like that both father and son started collecting all the dead animals and went back to the meeting point. Once they reached the meeting point there they met up with the rest of the hunting group along with the kids. Afterwards they return back to village without suffering any attacks from the monsters or animals.

After reaching the village they all went to the village storehouse and they all gave a portion of their hunted animals to the keeper and than they all went to their house.

During dinner time at the house of Mc,

" I wanna ask you about something,son", father asked me.

"Yes,father".

" Tomorrow we are going to the town do you wanna come with us ".

"Huh!!!"

Was all that I replied to father because when he said about going to town I was stunned and couldn't reply.

"Do you wanna come with us to the town", father asked again.

"Yes", I replied excitedly.

"Looks like you are happy", father asked happily.

"Of course I am happy, we are going to town after all", I replied getting all excited.

" Did I give my permission for you to go", was said by mother which instantly suppressed my excitement.

" Motherrrrr...", I said in a pleading voice.

" Only if you bring me a beautiful souvenir", mather said while laughing.

"Yes, of course I will bring it", I said happily.

After that I hurriedly finished my food and went to bed. But I couldn't sleep because I kept thinking about the first town I am gonna visit. What kind of people will be there, will there be any problems,etc were the things I was thinking until I finally slept.
