The Immortal Wand (1)

"So this is it, huh?" William muttered as he seemed to blankly stare to his front, yet his eyes wandered about. If one looked at him, looking into the air like that, they might think of him as mad.

But he was anything but mad.

[The Map is completed.]

William nodded as he observed the hologram that only he could see, it depicted the map of the entire school. It had taken hours for him to wander everywhere but in the end, he had done it.

'So here should be where I am looking for...' His gaze was fixated on a certain part of the map.

"Let's go." He muttered again and began walking.

A while later, he arrived in front of a wall and closed his eyes.

'Based on the memory from the movie, it should be here...' He strongly focused on what he needed, books, information, and anything that could help him in his quest on making the perfect wand.

When he opened his eyes, the wall was no more, in its place was a great door.

He grinned, 'Room of requirements, here I come.' He opened the door and went inside. The door soon vanished and it became a wall again.

The moment he entered, he saw books everywhere to his left and right as far as he could see. To the front at the end of the hall he had found himself in, he saw a table, beside it there were huge amounts of materials.

He smiled in excitement at the sight.

'This is it... Yes!' He quickly began working.

He simply flipped through the pages as the AI Chip gathered information.

Minutes turned to hours and he was forced to go back.

Despite the fact that he didn't place importance on classes, he had to attend. But he did not waste time, instead, he used the time in the classes absorbing the information the AI Chip had gotten from the books.

As days passed, Hogwarts became like a home to William. Every day was a new adventure, new things to see, new things to experience. He was happy.

And even though he did not interact much with anyone and used most of his time outside classes in the room of requirement either to train and get experience using magic or read the books, no one bothered him much. Everyone was focused on studying as Ravenclaws should.

And one day at last...

"This is it, finally!" He sighed in relief as he put aside the last book.

Looking back, he shook his head, he had read through hundreds of books and his AI Chip had all the information it needed.

'AI Chip, have you simulated the perfect wand?'

[24817 Wands simulated. Remaining: 594560]

He smiled brightly looking at the words, 'When the simulation is finished, I will know how to make the perfect wand. I am one step closer. These 2 weeks were well spent.'

He checked the time and turned pale, 'Oh no, I am late.' He thought as he quickly ran off.

Whether by accident or not, he was at odds with Snape. It had all begun on the 1st day of class, he was deeply thinking over what he had learned about wands when the professor asked him questions, surely to ridicule him since his focus was not on the class.

He was able to answer anything that was asked. One thing led to the other and Snape began asking harder questions and when he answered even those with the help of the AI Chip, Snape seemed to become hostile.

That was why he couldn't afford to give the man excuses, the last time, which was not long ago at all, he had to cancel a day of going to the room or requirements in order to finish the extra homework given to him.

'Damn it!' He really hated wasting his time with school things but he had no other choice. Hogwarts was the easiest center of knowledge available to him at the moment.

He rushed into the classroom only to see Snape already there with a sneer.

He could only sigh and accept his fate...

"Well, well, well... If it isn't Mr. Ash. You finally grace us with your presence?" His tone of voice was dripping with sarcasm.

He didn't even try to find an excuse, he just stared at Snape.

Snape checked the time and said offhandedly, "20 points from Ravenclaw." Most people in the room groaned and looked at William with a little anger.

Snape continued, "20 minutes late to class, 5 times the homework for you, Mr. Ash. I hope you learn next time."

William was enraged, "But I was late only 2 minu..." Snape didn't let him finish, "It's 6 times now."

William took a deep breath and calmly walked to the table and sat down, Snape ignored him.

"Today, we will be brewing the Draught of Peace..." The class continued and as usual, William made the perfect potion only for snape to mark it as average.

He could only sigh... This class was the only problem he had. But knowing the man's past, he didn't hate him but mostly pitied him.

Every other class went perfectly, in some, he was at the very top and sometimes not by choice. Just answering when asked questions and doing what was expected put him there. His feud with Snape and sudden rise in academics had made him rather famous among the students.

However, he was too focused on his project to care.

[The Simulation is over. The perfect wand has been simulated. Model finished. Method of making created.]

Just as he was going to sleep this notification woke him up, he was excited.

'What is the wand?'

[The wand possesses 3 cores: Dragon Heartstring of a newborn dragon, the middle hair of the tail of a young Thestral, The feather of a phoenix on the verge of rebirth. The wand is thus, Born in fire, bathed in life that lies in death, and dies in the fire to be reborn.]

Looking at the core alone made him almost faint.

[The wood of a young Yew tree should be carved into the wood of an old Elder tree in the following shape, with these runes...]

[The wand will be 14 inches long and unyielding.]

Then the AI Chip went on to explain how it was to be made in detail. The process was extremely difficult as he expected.

'It seems death made a half-assed job when making the Elder wand, and I understand. This is so hard to do, getting the ingredients is the hardest... I need to practice on wand-making as well.'

Thankfully the room of requirements would help him with both.

He stood in front of the wall and focused on his desperate need for money, the door opened and he entered.

Every single knut, sickle, and galleon that was ever lost in the castle appeared in front of him, almost like a treasure trove.

He grinned, 'That takes care of one problem.'

He used Arthur's help whose mother ran a shop in Diagon Alley to get two of the cores as specified, while he decided to get the Thestral himself later. The wood was no problem, the only thing remaining was the experience.

And thus he began using the room of requirement to make all sorts of wands, of course, the wands would vanish after he left the room and were not usable.

A few days later when the cores arrived and he checked them, he prepared to go get the Thestral hair.

That was when he unexpectedly bumped into someone.
