2 Chapter 2 Shelling

"Open the collar of a psyker?" Qin Mo stared at Caron with a smile, "Have you thought about it yet?"

Psykers are extremely dangerous.

A psionic awakened but untrained person is like a ticking time bomb.

It would be fine if they just run wild and destroy. The most terrible thing is that the projection of the souls of the psykers is extremely obvious in the subspace, and they can easily be targeted by the four evil beings and become a tool for them to extend their claws to the material universe.

So when he heard that Karon decided to open the psychic suppression collar when necessary, Qin Mo himself thought he was crazy.

"Don't worry, I know the flaws of psykers." Caron pointed to the scepter in his hand, "I will make sure that after releasing your destructive power, you will not be able to survive. You will either die in the hands of the rebels, or I will kill you."

Hearing this, Qin Mo looked at the scepter.

A golden scepter topped with the Imperial double-headed eagle.

It is not the walking stick of Lao Deng in front of him, but a weapon.

"From now on, you don't need to participate in the construction of fortifications, just recharge your batteries." Caron ordered, turned and left.

Bull glanced at Qin Mo, and followed Caron away.

Qin Mo rolled his eyes at the two of them, then lowered his head to draw something in the diary.

What he does now is one of only two kinds of entertainment.

The first is to look at past records.

The second is to draw the blueprint of the weapon.

Even Qin Mo himself felt strange, not knowing why he was suddenly interested in scientific research, and there seemed to be something guiding him in the dark.

He obviously doesn't even understand calculus, but as long as he wants to study something, various theories related to it will immediately come to mind.

So this is both a research process and a learning process.

"I may have been blessed by Tzeentch." Qin Mo murmured.

He said that to himself more than once.

It was only after he accidentally blurted out the real name of one of the four gods of the subspace for the first time that Qin Mo remembered that this was the Warhammer universe, and it would be easy to be corrupted by saying the name directly, especially since he was a psyker.

Maybe it's because the name Tzeentch was translated by Tzeentch, or maybe it's for some other reason. Anyway, there are no consequences, so Qin Mo doesn't care so much.

He was obsessed with designing a protective device called the Gravity Shield.

The person wearing the shield can be immune to long-range attacks with entities, because the shield will generate a gravity field, and the wearer in the center of the gravity field will not be affected, and there will be strong gravity within two meters around him.

Cannonballs and bullets will be squeezed and smashed as long as they enter the periphery of the gravitational field.

This guard has already been designed and only needs to be fabricated and assembled.

This is not difficult for Qin Mo, he has even thought of a hundred ways to make this thing.

"Perfect." Qin Mo put the diary in his pocket contentedly, then looked down at the puddle at the bottom of the trench.

Strictly speaking, this puddle is not water, but the coolant used by the logging gun, and some clumsy guy made it flow out.

Qin Mo's face was clearly reflected in the puddle. He admired his face and couldn't help sighing, "Qin Mo, you are such a genius."

When Qin Mo was intoxicated with the sense of accomplishment, he suddenly saw a very small object in the puddle.

And strangely enough, the object is gradually getting bigger.

"What thing?" Qin Mo reached out his hand curiously to touch the object. When he touched it, the object trembled, making him realize that this thing was not in the puddle, but was reflected by the water in the puddle.

"..." Qin Mo raised his head and looked up.

boom!

There was an explosion in the trench, and a large number of metal fragments splashed around, followed by a thunderous roar that rang through the entire position.

All the soldiers and prisoners stood up in horror, looking in the direction of the explosion.

That is the trench at the front of the position.

Everyone was stunned and didn't react at all.

Until the second explosion appeared in the center of the position.

The ten soldiers sitting together on the periphery of the trench were near the center of the explosion. The blinding flash blinded them for a moment, and then a fragment flew out of the smoke and fell in Bull's feet.

"The bombardment is coming!" Bull roared loudly, and was the first to jump into the trench and climb down.

Caron was standing beside Bull, instead of evading, he hit the ground with his scepter, and a purple energy enveloped him and Bull.

The first two bombardments were obviously calibrated shots. After the two rounds were calibrated, a large number of shells rained down, and the entire position was full of explosions and screams.

The bombardment came so suddenly and unreasonably that neither the soldiers nor the prisoners expected it, so that they were so disorganized that they didn't even have time to hide in the fortifications when they were bombarded.

Of course, it's useless even if you want to hide. The fortifications haven't been repaired yet, and the shells rot faster than the soldiers' bodies.

As the head of the regiment, Buer huddled under the protection of Caron, and witnessed his soldiers being bombed everywhere in horror.

"How could it be shelled here?!" Bull asked in shock.

This position is located at the entrance to the lower nest, and the Planetary Defense Force enters the bottom nest to fight, which means that this position is equivalent to the rear.

The rebels known as the Evolution Cult want to threaten here, first they must defeat the front line of the planetary defense force.

Has the battle line been pierced?

Thinking of this, Bull shuddered.

Regardless of whether the rebels broke through the front line, or sent a small group of troops to attack here in a detour, anyway, more than half of the soldiers on the position have been lost in the shelling.

"We must evacuate!" Bull couldn't stand it anymore, and yelled at Caron: "Use your psionic power, use your psionic power to give the order to retreat!"

"No, now is not the time to retreat." Caron shook his head slowly, looking straight ahead of the position with his deep pupils.

A large number of rebel soldiers have followed the shelling and attacked the position.

If the retreat order is issued at this time, the entire infantry regiment will be disbanded, and the end of disintegration in the hive capital is to be slaughtered by the rebels who are familiar with the terrain.

"That psyker, that psyker!" Bull suddenly thought of Qin Mo, "Find him, open his collar, let him push it first!"

"Of course it has to be." Caron nodded in approval, closed his eyes and used spiritual energy to find Qin Mo's position on the battlefield.

Before Karon found Qin Mo, Qin Mo, whose face was hit by the shell, was not killed, but his body was already horribly wounded by the shrapnel.

If someone could take a look at Qin Mo's lying position with thermal imaging at this time, they would see a large amount of heat energy from the explosion converging towards Qin Mo and pouring into his body.

Qin Mo's body recovered gradually, but his brain had not fully recovered from the strong impact. He was in a half-asleep and half-awake state, seeing hallucinations.
