12 Semi finalist confirmed!

Mays's first fight finished in less than five seconds. His enemy was just a greenhorn without any battle skills. With just a simple palm strike, he sent his opponent flying right away. After all four fight finished, the tournament proceed to the next stage with the last eight people.

Princess Mintrina also passed her second match easily. This time, she even accidentally killed her opponent using the same trick as before. Not every bronze ranked fighter could survive a fireball directed at them. Miur was a special case as she periodically ate foods which enhanced her magic resistance.

Just before Mays walked into his next fight, Miur opened her eyes. There were no more visible injury on her body. The potion Mays made her drink was a potent one after all. Not even an hour had passed yet almost all her injury was healed already.

Mays had not realized that as he already walked into the ring. But of course his match wouldn't even last more than five seconds. Another simple palm strike and his opponent was already out of commission.

"Ah you're awake. Feeling better now?"

Mays smiled as he asked. Miur nodded without saying anything. She tried to smile but it seemed totally forced. Mays didn't comment on it either. He was just glad that Miur have recovered.

There were really no other significant fighter in this block except the princess. As the princess defeated her opponent using the same trick for the third time, Mays felt that even the princess was not much better.

For the third match, Mays didn't even used his palm to attack his opponent. He just flicked his opponent's forehead and he was sent flying for quite a distance. Mays was announced as the winner right away.

"For real? That guy hella strong."

"He only used his left hand to push and flick others yet he won that easily."

"Such a monster. Even the princess would meet the same fate for sure."

The audience who watched the matches for block B commented. Since this was just the qualification round for the main tournament, only projection of the battle were shown to the audience. All four block were administering their matches at the same time so the audience could only focus their attention toward the contestant they favored.

As for the participant who actually battled, most of them were badly injured. Some of them even died as a result of the matches. Nothing could be done about it since that was the nature of this tournament.

Block B was the first block to have their final match. The other block was quite behind hence the tournament immediately enlarged the projection of the match in block B. Currently, in the middle of the ring stood two people, Mays and princess Mintrina.

The both of them stared at each other without moving. This match would decide who the representative of block B was. There were lots of people focusing their attention on this match due to that reason.

"Make your move. I won't move from this spot."

Mays was the first to talk.

"Then prepare yourself for a beating."

Even the princess herself had an indifferent tone. The two of them really was confident of themselves. As Mays claimed that he wouldn't move from that spot, princess Mintrina decided to believe in his word and focused her power on attacking.

No little trick, no weak offense.

Princess Mintrina planned to settled things with one attack. She focused more than half of her magical energy as she chanted nonstop. The usually transparent flow of magical energy inside the ring was totally visible signalling that the quality of the magic power was beyond the norm.

"Hell Prison!!!"

Flame pillars appeared one after another inside the ring. These towering flame pillar were at least three meters tall. They made a perfect circle with eighteen pillars in total, surrounding Mays entirely. The princess who was also inside the ring started dripping sweat all over due to the excessive heat.

Hell Prison was one of the top spell for bronze ranked magic caster. Even a silver ranked fighter would have a hard time surviving this attack. Magic caster really held an overwhelming advantage when compared to other professions.

"That grey cloaked man is finished."

"Damn that was one hell of an attack."

Most of the audience came to a conclusion that Princess Mintrina was the victor of that fight.

"As predicted. The princess advanced."

Even those from White Raven also had the same conclusion.

The flame pillar moved toward Mays after the princess willed it.

The movement of the flame pillar was quite slow hence people could see clearly the silhouette of someone wearing a cape inside the raging flame cage. Some of the audience even shakes their head as if they knew for sure the life of that unlucky man was already forfeit.

"Heh... This child play meant nothing for me."

With a smirk, Mays casually activated a low level skill [Wind Shield]. Usually wind shield would just reduce the damage of any magic attack it countered but since this flame pillar was just a low level skill, it disappeared almost instantly.

"What… what just happened?"

Princess Mintrina was at a loss of word. Her strongest attack had been negated without any effort. As for the audience, they were all shocked senseless. None of them expected that this unknown nobody could survive the fearsome flame pillars.

"You like to play with fire right? Then please, dance with this little fire of mine. Go forth, Apideus!!"

A whirlwind suddenly covered the whole arena while the sky turned black in an instant. As the temperature around the area rose, a hole suddenly appeared on the dark sky. A meteor had suddenly appeared and it was falling down with absurd speed.

"What…. In... The… world… was… that?!!"

This was not just a matter of win or loss. This could be classified as a matter of life and death. Princess Mintrina trembled in fear as she now knew how insignificant an existence she was in front of this guy.

Even the audience panicked as the meteor approached the arena with every passing seconds. Najibby just watched the phenomenon without saying anything but there was admiration clearly shown on his face.

"Rest in peace."

Mays commented in low tone but his voice seemed wicked and conceited as it was heard by Princess Mintrina.

"Craaaaaaaassssssssssssshhhh!!"

The whole ring for block B's matches got decimated into nothingness the moment that meteor landed in the middle of it. Both Mays and the princess was nowhere to be found thanks to the dust and debris which flew all over the area.

Those inside the waiting room let out a relieved sigh as they survived the calamity. Some even showed their gratitude to the god by praying nonstop.

"WHO… CALL… ME... BACK… FROM... HELL???!!!"

A loud thundering roar echoed for hundred of meters around the area. The origin of that roar was the thing which everyone thought to be a meteor previously. That meteor was actually a living monster, a flaming lava golem to be exact.

With a five meter tall body, he stood gallantly in the center of the crater resulted from his descend. He had a slim figure with flames and lava flowing inside his veins. He was the embodiment of fire essence himself, sent here from the very depth of hell.

"Sorry Apideus, it was me. I just wanna show off my power a bit. You can go back now."

Mays replied. He was totally unaffected by the meteor crash earlier. This [Infernal Summon] was a high level skill unique for Magic Swordsman only.

The meteor crash actually did little damage back in game as the real threat from this skill was the summoned monster itself. This lava golem was comparable to a gold ranked intermediate boss class monster back in HeavensTale.

"Ooo… it…. Was…. Master…. Who… called… Me. I… don't… mind… at…all. Do… I… need… to… finish…. Off… that… thing… before… I… go?"

After he realized the one who summoned him here was his master, he roared no more. He even talked in his most casual tone, monotone. He also asked for permission to finish off the princess who barely clings to her petty little life.

"No need. Just go."

"Yes… master. Right... away."

A spatial hole immediately appeared out of nowhere and Apideus jumped into it without hesitation. The spatial hole disappeared right away after Apideus entered. The whole scene left everyone watching flabbergasted as these events never happened prior to this.

They couldn't understand what just happened. One thing they knew for sure was that the grey cloaked guy was truly not ordinary, a person not to be trifled with.

"So, you survived. I don't really care why but you may have some protective charm with you. Since that was the case, I will save your life just this once."

In front of Mays right now was the princess, wrapped in bell shaped golden light. She appeared to be critically injured but her life was not in danger. Her outer injury was quite horrible with lots of burn marks here and there.

Mays only wanted to let this girl experience what she did to others. But of course, for someone weak like her, a simple attack from Mays would be plenty. As she luckily survived an attack that even a normal gold ranked fighter wouldn't survive, Mays felt that it might be god himself who spared her.

As if the golden light could detect no hostility from the approaching living being, it disappeared when Mays touched it. It knew Mays held no hostile thought toward the princess.

Mays fed the unconscious princess a red potion before he brought her toward the waiting room. He gave the princess's guard a glance and dropped her there before he walked toward Miur without saying anything. Now that he already get back at the princess after what she did, Mays didn't care about the princess anymore.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inside an underground room, several people were discussing among themselves with a heavy atmosphere. Four of them in total. They were watching the live feed of the tournament using their transponder pearl. They were none other than the White Raven.

"What the hell was that attack?"

A woman dressed in black asked.

"Nobody knew. Nobody ever seen something that powerful before."

Lord Arbah replied angrily. He was pissed because their plan was ruined. These people were totally shocked by what happened in block B.

"Another unexpected contestant just like last tournament."

One of them who looked the oldest commented. He wore a white robe befitting his elderly looking self. He was the leader of this White Raven department, the one in charge for the underground betting.

They suffered a huge loss when Najibby defeated the powerhouses and won the last tournament. They surely didn't plan to suffer again this time.

"As long as one of the powerhouses win their match, we won't suffer any considerable losses."

The fourth guy commented. He was a sharp looking middle aged man. What he said was the truth. As long as the grey cloaked guy didn't win the tournament.

"We can only hope for Najibby to defeat him. I think they might even be a perfect match."

"Hope so."

Even Najibby who won the last tournament was shocked by that attack. In fact, he never saw that skill back in HeavensTale either. Because of that, he came to a conclusion that the grey cloaked guy might be someone like him, an otherworlder.

He noticed that the destructive power of that meteor was not that great, around mid-level back in HeavensTale. He didn't know that the meteor impact was just additional where the lava golem was the real deal.

"That man dare to hurt our princess this badly."

"He deserved to be killed right away. Should we order his execution, your highness?"

After the princess woke up, both her guards showed contempt toward Mays. They even asked for the princess to give them permission to kill Mays.

"No can do. He did what he must just like me. I should be the one thanking him instead for sparing me and wasted a potion on me."

As the princess showed no hostility toward the latter, one of the guards stomped his feet on the ground showing his dissatisfaction.

"I just couldn't forgive those who disrespect you!"

The guard exclaimed. He really was pissed off.

"Do you think you can take him on? I bet even ten of you won't be enough."

That casual remark from the princess contained a fearful truth. Even the guards himself was just a silver ranked fighter. He couldn't possibly survive that meteor crash.

He was not attentive to Mays so he didn't know how taxing that skill would be. He thought Mays could use that skill only once or twice the most. Even the princess could only use that flame pillar attack once a day.

The princess on the other hand, kept his gaze on Mays all the time. She realized that Mays was not one bit tired even after using that grand skill. If her assumption was true, it would only meant that Mays was an existence way too strong for them to fight. The princess was now convinced by the fact that there exists something beyond human comprehension after she experienced it first-hand.

"Whoaaaa… Mays really was awesome!"

Len commented.

He was disqualified in the first match same as Miur. His opponent was also a nobody who got beaten in the next match. Right now he was beside Aria and Nova, watching the tournament projection at the audience area.

"Hehe. I know right. We bet all our money on him right Nova?"

"Hehehe yeah. His odd was too low so we might win big if he became champion."

Both of them grinned in happiness as they just witnessed another awesomeness of Mays. They were sure that their money would multiple.

"Wait. You guys betted on him from the start?"

"Hehe yeah. Why? You ain't confident in him?"

Aria replied right away. She was quite shocked when Len asked that question. She thought that Len was the one who knew about Mays's strength the most.

"Haha. Lady Luck smiled upon you girls I guess."

Len laughed helplessly. Luck really was something totally unpredictable.

"Why so?"

Both of the girl asked with a puzzled face.

"Because if Mays had met Miur in earlier match, he would resign right away. He said so himself."

"WHAAAAAAAATT??!!"

Both of them were shocked by Len's casual reply. They really lucked out since Mays end up winning the fight for that block. They never knew Mays promised Miur something like that. In the end, everything turned out fine so they laughed it off as if nothing ever happened.

Following block B, the next block which came at a conclusion was block A. The block where Len was in previously. The winner of this block was the previous champion of the tournament, Najibby. Apparently, Merle lost to him again this year. He cursed his bad luck for him to be grouped together with this reigning champion.

The moment his name was announced for the whole area to hear, Mays complexion turned pale. He knew that name well. Najibby was what the people sarcastically called a certain prime minister from a certain country. The only conclusion derived from this name was that he was also a person from Earth.

"That guy… We need to have a long nice talk with each other after this tournament end."

Mays showed a wicked smile which even Miur had never saw prior to this. She knew Mays had planned something just now but she kept her silence. After she woke up, she didn't talk to Mays at all.

The third block to finish their final match was block D. The winner was the beast guy who chased after Len back in the preliminary round, Slick. Apparently he was well known around these part as Blood Hunter.

The final match for block C was still ongoing. All eyes were on that fight right now as the other block already finished with their respective matches. The contestant for this final match was one young man and a young girl.

The young man was totally well known inside Merry city, Andika Putra. He was the young master of the Mercenary Guild. Facing him inside the ring was an extremely beautiful girl with fiery red hair. She had a small stature but her looks was totally overwhelming. She was none other than Mira.

Andika was injured all over while Mira was unscratched. The battle was totally one sided. Mira only used low level spell so far yet Andika was totally unable to keep up. Once again, the audience were shocked beyond words due to this unexpected result.

"Hehe… You can't play anymore?"

Mira asked sarcastically. She grinned as she waved her flaming red staff here and there.

"Ugh... You're really formidable. Never would I had thought of being defeated by some nobody."

Andika let out a heavy sigh. He knew he couldn't defeat this beautiful girl for sure. Their levels were just too far apart. Andika realized that this girl never was serious in their fight. Her strength was unfathomable.

"Hehe Mira ain't that strong. Mira couldn't even defeat Aloha, let alone master."

Mira replied playfully.

Andika knew that this girl didn't lie. What she said was the truth. Someone as strong as her had no need for lies. And for someone like her to have a master which was way stronger than her, even Andika froze in fear upon realizing that fact.

The fight ended soon after with Mira dominating her opponent with ease. In the end, Andika gave up. He decided to do so when he noticed Mira finally getting serious. Her killing intent was too much for someone like Andika to bear.

"Good that you know when to give up. Mira couldn't hold back when Mira turned serious hehe."

Mira whispered as she walked out of the ring. She only used weak spell like fireball and flaming arrow all over. Even that, was more than enough to toy with all the participant inside the tournament.
