The Start

A day started at Kahim High. Mekhi looked down while she trudged along the smooth floors. It was cold but full of energy, as people tried to look for their lockers, friends or schedules. She finally arrived to her teacher's classroom. It belonged to…Ms Enoki? "Alright, class!" Ms Enoki said cheerfully. "Since today is one of your first days at Kahim High.." Mekhi's teacher kept speaking, but Mekhi felt so tight that she couldn't hear anyone. "Mekhi? Mekhi Yushiara?!" She suddenly snapped awake. "It's time for you to share your experiences!" Ms Enoki said calmly, but cheerfully, her warm smile beamed at Mekhi. Mekhi looked worried as she stepped onto the front of the class. When she opened her mouth to speak, a boy interrupted her. "You going to speak, princess?" He asked, mockingly. "MR LAON TENEZUKA!!" A girl yelled from behind, "SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" They stared at each other intensely. "Now, now, you two," Ms Enoki said calmly, "Unei is correct, for your foolish behavior," She looked sternly at Laon, "But you can't just scream out loud. But since it's your first day, you can go off with this one." Laon rolled his eyes at them, twice at their teacher and mockingly at Mekhi. "Fine." He spat. The bell rang, school was out.
