2 Pray to god

When Luka once again opened up his eyes he noticed that he was no longer in the pitch blackness from before, neither is he in a hospital, instead, he found himself lying down on a bed inside of an apartment.

Luka stood up on to his feet and git off the bed, he looked around and the room he is in is pretty basic, only a bed, mirror, faucet, and toilet are here.

Luka got up and looked at the mirror, what greeted him is a tall young man, probably in his 20s, with tanned skin and black hair, his face is rugged and average looking.

'So this is the new me.' Luka asked himself as he inspected himself, doesn't look half that bad, he then lifted his shirt and looked at his muscles, he's pretty muscular.

In conclusion, he is a fit young man at the peak of his strength, it seems that his mental problems too have cleared out as his head fells much lighter compared to before.

"Stem, are you online?" Asked Luka out loud, if he remembers correctly Stem needs to be voice-activated as it can't read his thoughts.

[Yes Luka, I am fully functioning and online.]

Luka heard a robotic, slightly male-sounding voice in his head giving him affirmation that it has gone online.

"All right, what's our plan of action?" Luka asked he isn't the smartest and Stem is a super-smart AI, getting help from it will be useful.

[I would first recommend you allow our synthesis, next going to an internet cafe in search of information.]

"What is synthesis?" Of course, Luka is gonna ask before allowing anything, he doesn't want to get taken over by an evil AI.

[It shall allow me and your body to merge, instead of needing permission to always act I would be functioning alongside your body but I would not be in full control.]

"So basically I would control my body you would just perfect my actions?" Asked Luka as he walked over to the door, he unlocked it with the key that is in the lock before stepping out.

[Yes.]

"All right, let's synthesize," Luka said as he closed the door before he went down the stairs, it seems that he lives on the second floor of an apartment complex.

As he came down Luka noticed a young man waiting for the elevator, perfect.

"Hello there, could you please tell me where is the nearest internet cafe?" Luka asked the young man, but he just looked at Luka as if he had seen an alien or an age-old relic.

"Who would know where that is?" Said the young man, it seems that the progress of technology is rendering those places obsolete.

Luka said nothing more and just walked away, he had to search around the city for a bit until he finally found an internet cafe.

Entering the cafe he sat down at one of the computers.

"All right, what now Stem?" Asked Luka in a hushed voice, he doesn't really want people to think that he is a crazy man.

[Grant me permission to control your body.]

"That's nor creepy at all, permission granted," Luka said as he suddenly felt that his body wasn't his own, at least from the neck down.

Immediately Stem threw itself into the work, it tapped with its fingers as fast as possible on the keyboard.

"What exactly are you doing?" Asked Luka, Sten was going thru information too fast for him to comprehend.

[Searching for a job.]

If that's all that Stem wants to reveal then Luka won't ask for more, after about 30 minutes Stem stopped searching.

"So, found what you were searching for?" Asked Luka as he got off the seat.

[Yes, I have found the job that will benefit us.]

Luka did nothing more than nod at that before he started to move towards the exit, but just when he was about to exit the cafe owner stopped him.

"Hey pal, you have been on that computer, you need to pay." The owner said, which is bad since Luka doesn't have a penny to his name.

Before Luka could answer, Stem who apparently still controlled his body grabbed the guy on the back of the head before pulling his head down and hitting it with a knee.

Stem then grabbed him by his hair before he fell down and smashed it into the glass door, finally Stem opened the door ramming the owner's body into the wall.

"Stem! What the fuck?!" As Luka walked out of the store and felt his body return back to his own control he called out to Stem.

[It was the quickest way of resolving our problem while the consequences aren't too large.] Stem said as Luka moved further and farther away from the cafe.

"Still, not all right, if we can resolve something without fighting then that's how it should be resolved, especially if normal people are involved," Luka said as he walked, where is he going? He doesn't know, Steam isn't in control, he is just walking to get away from the scene.

[Luka, it seems that there is a misunderstanding. You are the avatar of the god of war, by default violence, murder, death, and destruction are your means of resolving conflict. By definition, you are war, it is your job and your duty to spread violence.]

Stem said in it's emotionless, robotic, voice, it made the words it said even more chilling.

"Look, I get that, but, let's try to not get civilians involved, they aren't great warriors and I don't like it," Luka said as he continued walking.

[All right, that shall work as a compromise.]

Luka nodded at those words before he noticed something, where exactly is he going? He just walked without reason, this may not be a good idea.

"So, where do we go?"

[You don't have to worry, since the moment you exited the cafe I have been guiding your legs towards our destination.]

'Just fucking great, if this isn't creepy I don't know what is.' Luka thought as he continued walking since he doesn't have to worry about the direction he might as well just not think about it.

Soon they arrived at a church, and Luka entered inside.

"Stem, what now? Why are we even here?" Luka asked as he looked around himself, the church is fairly big yet mostly unused, Luka can see less than 10 people within when he is sure that a couple hundred if not a thousand could fit in.

[Keep your head low and pretend to pray, our target shall soon arrive.]

Luka did just that, he knelt down in one of the seats, put his hands together and begun to just so nothing, he never learned how to pray.

Soon, however, the door to the church was opened a little loudly and a single man walked inside.
