2 The Rebirth of a New Ceola Aethelo

The word "Goodbye." echoed throughout the space of blinding white light, there you could see a sleeping soul continuously rotating in a fetus-like position. Within this vast space of emptiness, two individuals could be seen standing on a cloud mist.

"Are you sure about your decision, Ceola?" The man's magnetic voice reverberated through the soul of the young lady beside him. "Amongst all the souls who didn't commit any major sins, you chose her who committed murder and suicide in her past life. Why?" he asked as he look at the soul slowly plunging through the dark sea of the abyss.

"I have a feeling she is a witty and beautiful woman in her past life. She may have committed a lot of sins back then, but you should know as a reaper that humans are flexible beings. We could change if we want to, even the most sinful person you might know can be a saint." The young soul replied as she gazed at the flickering light beneath the dark abyss. "She might be the one who could bring the witches their righteous liberty."

The reaper just nodded; it's a true statement that human beings are flexible beings, but sometimes they usually end up running in circles and going back to the same scene in life. He just breathed in sharply and look at the young soul, "Are you ready?" he asked, the soul just nodded and place her feet within the empty space. She slowly pushed herself, making her fall into the vast space of bright light. Falling down, her memories as Ceola Aethelo faded 'till she lost consciousness and dissipated.

"Wake up, Ai Ming Yue!" a voice resounded loudly, making the young girl's body convulsed as she shot her eyes open. Ai Ming Yue could hear her heart palpitating from shock, while beads of sweat trickled down the edges of her face.

"Where am I?" she muttered with her breath hitching and her throat all parched. Her eyes started to violently shift in different directions cautiously. Realizing that she was in a safe and comfortable haven, her once tensed muscles relaxed as she plopped herself back on the bed. She held her hand up high, her palm was bandaged and you could see arid blood staining the white gauge. 'What happened?'

Ai Ming Yue's eyebrows creased as she tried to remember what had happened, sadly, only woolly memories are provided by her brain. As she struggled to look around the area with her head moving in different direction, she noticed a white envelope stating 'To whoever is in my body', freshly laying on the side table. Ai Ming Yue immediately grabbed the envelope, ignoring the stinging pain within her muscles. She teared the envelope and gingerly unfolded the paper:

To whoever is in my body,

Now, that I have died and chosen you as the sole possessor of this body (well, of course if rebirth or reincarnation is real), I would like to give you information about the past owner of this body, which is practically me.

My name is Ceola Aethelo. My current age is eighteen and I am turning nineteen on the month of August on the 20th day. I am born was a noble and at the same time, i'm an orphan. My parents died because of protecting my sister from the church, who is a witch. In this place, witches are to be believed as a devil incarnate, but to me and my parents doesn't believe such thing, including the king's son, Prince Roland Wimbleton. He is the young prince who ruled the Border City; he took good care of his men and the witches.

Border City is the only place where the witches could be accepted by normal people, the only place where you could live comfortably with advanced built machines and profound learning schools. The place where we were supposed to go before my sister's and parent's death. It's an unfortunate event that Prince Roland died, no one knows the reason why but he was a great ruler. Since the prince had died, the church had made it's move to obtain whatever things they could find within Border City, to regain their deteriorating influence. With the witches' and Border City's people knowing about it, they started to destroy every single existence of Border City's development to protect the memory of Prince Roland. The witches and Border City's people scattered themselves in different places within Europe.

I've always wanted a place where the witches could live freely, with people who wasn't hostile to them. Since death had came to me personally, I want you to continue my footsteps and create a place like Border City. Also, try to find Border City's people and the witches who have lived there, they might help you. You are currently within a small tavern that I bought before I died, the one who probably bandaged you is my servant.

Sincerely,

The Original Soul

Ai Ming Yue's eyebrows creased together as she was finished reading the letter, she pinched her temples and then sighed. "Guess I have to do this." Ai Ming Yue gingerly stood up, despite feeling a bit exhausted, she went out of her room while limping. 'I wish I was never reborn-ed'
