1 CHAPTER ONE
River's POV
As a young girl I didn't really understand the world around myself until I started to grow up around the wrong crowed, drinking my pain away keeping myself hidden from my abusive parents, I ran away at the age of 16 before meeting my one and only person I called my best friend I smiled a little staring up at the ceiling laid over in the bed about thinking a lot of things including her as well.
She's been with me through thick and thin there's nobody else in the world I could ask for other than her I love her but she can also be a pain in the ass.
Sighing loudly I removed the covers away staring into the darkness as I grabbed my shoes along with my phone walking out of the door I didn't forget to lock it behind to keep everything I valued safe from the thief's that ran in the night time.
TIME SKIP
Walking down the long skimpy street kicking rocks before making it to cleo's apartment only to see something I didn't expect I shouted "What the hell!" I stayed in my place before Running across the street seeing someone trying to break into cleo's house sweat went down my forehead as my blood ran cold.
Shouting at him I tried to grab him away from her door only to be smacked to the ground groaning in pain I panicked beginning to shout "HELP! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!" From the corner of my eye I was relieved as I see a guy in a black jacket running before he started shooting where the guy was, ducking my head I silently cried praying for everything to be over until I heard footsteps coming closer than before.
UNKNOWN'S POV
"KAI! What the fuck are you doing here!?" The guy with the black hoodie glared at him as he dropped his gun to the floor, looking down at her he removed his eyes away from her as he looked back up at Kai for an explanation.
Poking the inside of his cheek angrily he picked the girl up notice how she held her cheek he looked away from her see as her salty tears slid down her face ever so slightly, moving away from her he stood by Kai rubbing the back of his neck as he greeted himself with a small smile knowing that the situation wouldn't get any better "The names benji" he didn't know why he was smiling when they were all caught up in awkwardness.
"Well as you know now this DumbAss right here is Kai" he said scratching the back of his neck as he let out a groan wanting to run away from it all.
His eyes looked to the side of him seeing Kai holding a grin across his face wondering why he shoved him a little until it fell off his face.
River's POV
Knowing the guys name now I looked at the guy name Kai avoiding eye contact with the other guy who barely spoke afterwards "W-Wha-" I couldn't finish my sentence before a girl with a long sleeve tattoo,black long hair, and nothing but just some black boy shorts and a black T-shirt came up you could tell she was a tomboy from the way she dresses I thought.
The girl passed by me slapping the boys upside there heads sending them death glares if looks could kill we all would probably be dead by now.
"W-who are you? And what are you guys doing here at my friends apartment?" I asked as my body shook from all the stares shifting foot from foot waiting for someone to answer the guy named Kai jumped in before anything else was said.
KAI'S POV
Groaning at the slap from the back of his head he glared back at Mia shoving her a away from him as he begin to explain why he was breaking into some chicks house.
"Look your friend here owes us a lot of money and if she doesn't pays up then something is going to happen to her. She didn't play by the rules so either she dies or you could try and talk to our boss about it? I doubt he'd ever listen to someone like you but don't knock till you try it you know what I mean" winking at her I can tell she scrunched up her face in disgust, seeing how the moon gave us a little light.
Moving his eyes over to his friends he held the syringe behind his back giving them the look of 'I have to do it I have no choice out of it' rolling his eyes he grabbed her by her hair as she put up a fight trying to get away but he knew she couldn't smirking he stuck the needle into her neck seeing her whole body go limp he threw her on the back of his shoulder staring at Mia and benji "For fucks sake are you going to stop fucking staring and help me or what!? I had no other choice!" He dragged her body to the car throwing her in the backseat not forgetting to put a seatbelt on.
River's POV
Hearing everything he had to say my face fell open trying to take everything in at once I couldn't summon up anything to say just knowing everything now of why Cleo always came to me for money or why she wanted to stay far away from me hurt me deep down in my heart.
Deep in thought I felt someone pull my hair gripping his wrist I looked over seeing Kai was missing, behind me with a syringe I tried to shout and put up fight against him but nothing worked feeling the liquid run in into my system I was out like a light.
