Duty call

{JUNGKOOK POV}

"Hello, did you take care of things over there?.. Leave no trace and make sure to cover the mess they created earlier, do you understand?.... Good." I slide the phone back into my jacket pocket after receiving the call when I see the men coming towards me, I have to get home quickly.

" the car is ready boss", the first man said to me while taking the luggage from my hand.

" where is Taehyung?" I asked him

" Something happened he had to take care of, Namjoon told him to stay behind and take care of it" he stated leading the way to where the car is.

Getting into the car, the man seated at the front handed me a gun. I took it and hid it in my pants, as the car drove out from the airport I looked out the window admiring the view. Seoul is a beautiful city despite having so many forces that fight for supremacy, even though Busan is my territory I have unfinished business and grievances I have to attend to here. Closing my eyes as my head starts to buzz from lack of sleep and rest I feel myself drifting off but that was interrupted when the car suddenly stops, I immediately reach for my gun ready to swing into action when I see what happened. A little boy has run into the road without looking properly and was almost knocked down by my driver.

" Is the boy good?" I inquired from the driver then I relaxed when I got a yes from him...

" Drive carefully," I told him.

I might be the king of the Busan underworld but I have one rule we do not hurt women and children, I don't soil my hands with such blood, unlike other mafia clans.

As the driver pulls into the street that leads to the estate, it became quiet and peaceful. Any ordinary person would have thought otherwise but what happens down this street stays here, no foreign body that enters here makes it out alive. Pulling into the villa everything was as I'd last seen then and from afar I can see Namjoon already awaiting my presence with the other boys.

" Welcome back brother" Namjoon greeted me pulling me into his embrace, we haven't seen each other for a long time only communicated through the phone, he is my right-hand man here in Seoul and he has never failed me. We don't hold the dominance here but back in Busan, I am the king.

" thank you Namjoon how have you been? When duty calls the king heeds" I said giving him a half smile... Glancing around I can see the security has expanded and I'm impressed.

"How many shipments came in from lncheon?" I asked Namjoon.

" Two from the north and just one from the South, the last one got hijacked by yet-to-be-identified guys. Two of our men got killed during the shootout... Taehyung is on the mission of finding out the people involved." Namjoon explained while my blood was boiling with wrath.

Who dares to hijack a shipment coming to the warehouse?

For a long time, there has not been a case of shipment hijacking and the business has been moving smoothly, this can only happen when there's a sheep among the wolves and I'm going to find out who. I know Namjoon thinks the same thing but he's still waiting to verify his instincts, whoever that dares tick us out has a strong force covering them up and I'm going to find out who that person is.

" Gather the others to the basement after Taehyung gets back," I said to Namjoon leaving him to sort the other issues out.

" what is it going to be?" Namjoon asked before I stepped out of the door.

" We'll see Namjoon" that's all I could say to him.

Taking the chamber into a secret corridor, I walked past a certain room that I've not entered in a long time. So many memories I didn't want to remember came rushing back, they are memories I locked away in this very room.....

Why are they coming back?

I strode past the room before I'll change my mind to open it, taking the other passage into the garden... the garden hasn't changed much, the different flowers are still looking colorful and beautiful, but it was just the same. This place holds all the happy memories I've had in my life before things went south ways.. Closing my eyes I saw a little boy running around happily..

"Waah, this is beautiful! I love this one the most, are we going to have more of it here?" the little boy asked.

" of course, we are going to have the whole garden full of it if that makes you happy"  the person replied.

Opening my eyes I see them fading away slowly as they jump around, my eyes lingered on the spot where they finally faded.

I wish this lasted forever.

Moving to the spot my eyes lingered on my thirst for revenge got multiplied a thousandfold.

I won't stop until I spill all of their blood to the very last drop, they will pay with their heads.

Sitting on the stone bench on the east side of the garden I felt my phone vibrate in my pant pocket.

" is it ready?"  I inquired the person on the other side of the phone.

"Yes boss, it's ready and will be at the wharf by 7 PM tonight" the other person answered.

" Good, bring it to the location and get the boys with you" I instructed.

" yes, boss" he answered and I disconnected the call, tightening my face in a frown.

I have to sort this out quickly and move to the more important stuff.

As the head of my clan with many men that look up to me with their lives, slacking out is not an option.  Succeeding my father at a very young age, I took over bigger responsibilities. I was frustrated and saw tons of men depending on me to be instructed and lead them, I had to do the only thing I understand to survive going vicious and ruthless. I didn't end there I fought for dominance, dominating all of Busan and part of Incheon, I expanded my network and aliases to part of other small cities around the other province.

Fighting for preeminence in Seoul has been a matter of bloodshed and brutality because of one name that has refused to go down even though we have some part to ourselves the name still has the upper hand and it influences the business here.

Most of the top alias want to be in favor of them no one wants to mess with them people always shrink back in fear when they hear their name but I'm not going to back down without a fight, I won't stop until I get what is mine.

Been in the garden as the cloud starts to darken and knowing it was not going to be long until it starts dropping, I walked back into the chamber making my way to the basement to meet the boys.

{3RD PERSON POV}

" Taehyung is there any clue on who the hijackers are?" dragging a long puff from the cigarette between my fingers.

" Nothing yet I guess they were smart enough not to leave any kind of clue behind, it was a neat job from their side. Everything went as prearranged until that very moment" Taehyung narrated

" There's a rat and we are going to find out who it is and why"

" Who would have dared to rat us out? It still doesn't make any sense, I was able to hack into the camera footage in the area but it's all cleared out. Whoever they are they came prepared" Yoongi pointed out

" We have gone easy and I think they forgot how it's done, my absence from here contributed to it but now I'm going to show them how things should be done when Jeon jungkook is the king".

Jungkook brought out a blueprint from his jacket pocket and handed it to Namjoon, he took it from him and spread it on the table in front of them whistling when he saw what was in front of them. This is something they have been working hard to get on for months and now they have the upper lead on a very important task.

" Now let's show them how it's done" he smiled widely showing his dimples.

" our boss is the smartest and the most viable, they better watch out for real" Hoseok said clapping in acknowledgment.

" I have something arriving at the club tonight, I need you all to be present. I'm going to send in men to the wharf to make sure it gets there safely". Jungkook notified them.

The boys are his most trusted men, they are more like brothers who can lay down their lives for each other. They have been together since their younger days and nothing has separated them, Namjoon who is his second in command foresees all the affairs in Seoul with direct instructions from jungkook. Taehyung is in charge of arms and ammunition and also in charge of every shipment that comes in. Hoseok is in charge of the club where all the exchanges and important meetings are held, he is also a professional fighter and trains most of the men. Yoongi is the eyes of the family, with a wizard knowledge of all gadgets, hacking, and information. Although sometimes loves to lazy around and enjoy his sleep, he never disappoints when it comes to duty.

When it comes to duty none of them plays around, they go for it till it's perfect.
