Escanor has been described as the strongest member of the Seven Deadly Sins in that particular World.

In battle, Escanor primarily relies on the rising of the sun to use his magic, Sunshine for battle. As when the sun rises, his power and size grow greatly. Just nearing noon causes his body to emit an enormous amount of heat to the point of being able to melt armor like nothing. Just using a single attack can cause a lake to be evaporated in a flash from the intense heat Escanor gave off.

His magic is on par with his incredible brute strength, as a single swing from his axe Rhitta was enough to cleave strong opponents in two and swing it with a single arm whereas a countless strong person has a hard time even moving it.

At night, however, his power is the weakest due to the setting of the sun, rendering him powerless and unable to use his magic.

And when the time sun is at the peak, Escanor is in the state "The One." His powers are boundless, and he can even kill Gods. His body can melt most of the champions by being there. The glasses he wears are restrictive to his powers, and he takes them off to fight. Now when he walked to the stage, all the Aristocracy had a grin on their face and some of the well versed in Community had an expression of worry instead. Because, Escanor was weak, too weak at night.

As a champion, he traveled countless worlds, yet as in his name, his pride was enough to make heavens ashamed. That is why he didn't seek for other powers, he only trusted his own power.

As he walked to the stage, Escanor pointed the announcer and said, "Aren't you going to put a barrier to prevent unintentional injuries."

When Escanor fight, there would be Gods to put a protective barrier, because the normal barrier around the stage wasn't strong enough to contain his powers. There would be usually five Gods to put protective formation. But because Aristocracy learned his weakness, they didn't appoint anyone to set up a barrier. As far as they thought, Escanor was going to die in the hands of the weakest member of the Aristocracy.

"There is no need for you to worry. Just fight as you wish." the announcer grinned. 'Arrogance of this bastard. He thinks even in this state, we should call Gods to set up a barrier.'

Escanor just said, "I warned you." and walked towards his enemy, as he removed his glasses. This was seen a countless time when he started to fight. When he removed his glasses his body expanded, and he became a two meter monster with muscle. Everybody believed it was the effect of the glasses, neither knew it was actually the effect of the sun. Now that it was night, Escanor should be weak, but he still expanded. Of course, it was because Hitomi created an illusion to give Escanor strength.

His opponent still clueless, as he was still laughing. Escanor took his opponent in the angle where announcer and some of the Aristocracy were sitting behind. All of a sudden a sun rose from Escanor hand, all of their expression froze, and they wanted to move, but it was too late. The sun passed through the protective shield, after destroyed his opponent. The announcer died, even most of the champions sitting at the area behind Escanor back injured. But the ball of flame didn't stop, it flew all the way to the horizon.

"Bastard. You intentionally injured the Announcer and even injured our members. You are going to be executed!" Kako, the second strongest of Community howled with anger. This shouldn't happen. Their leader told them Escanor would definitely die at night.

"I warned you didn't I? It is your lords' mistake to not put up a protective screen. I always had the strength to tear up this barrier, yet you thought today would be different. How lamentable." Escanor had disdained look on his face, as his sky blue eyes were shining. His pride soared high, and he looked at the Aristocracy.

"If you can't take it, come at me together," Escanor said.

All of a sudden, everybody's vision got blacked, there were few footsteps around the stage, and gods arrived.

"It was our mistake to not put up a protective barrier. Escanor won his first match and will fight against Kako in the next match. Do you need time to rest?" A voice ran in the air.

"I don't need such a thing. Just let him come." Escanor softly spoke.

It was impossible to fight while everyone was blinded. Thus a darkness covered the proximity of the stage, where Gods were standing. It prevented them to be seen by others. But the eye on Hitomi's forehead could clearly see those Gods. All of them had dark gold luster, their bodies were different from Fatty's Master. If Fatty's master Prota was gem carved from precious diamond, these were imitations of glass.

"It is because of their status. Prota cultivated to the realms only few can dream of. Even though they call themselves Gods, they are nothing but a thrash. When I was alive, I had the body of topaz. I cultivated "Blue Earth's Wonders" thus I had a blue body. Prota cultivates "Myriad Gem Mastery" and that is why he has a different kind of attributes." Crow spoke with arrogance.

"Which one of you is stronger? I mean which one of you were stronger?" Hitomi asked.

"At that time, there wasn't anyone can beat us in the Upper Realm, except His Highness. Even the Leader of the Desolates would be on par with me, and the other vice leader. Our leader was strongest." Crow patted his imaginary chest and answered.

"Interesting. How about Escanor? How strong is he?" Hitomi asked.

"He is pretty strong from the information you gathered. Even five low-level Gods barely enough to hold him back. If he cultivated or acquired other powers, he would be as strong as the leader of the factions, but his pride is higher than heavens."

'So, now I am stronger than the Leader of the Factions?' Hitomi asked.

"Of course you are. After that gamble I took, and the one you took against the Joker, if you didn't acquire this power, it would only be a pathetic end."

'By the way, did you contact with the Demons?'

"I did. They are on their way. To think that old bastard even thought this, it really surprised me."

'How about Community?'

"Don't worry. No one can stop the gears of the Universe!"
