4 Let the games begin bit****

I tapped my fingers on the small round table in my room as I sat staring at the garden outside my room. Today is the finally the third day after the suffocating family reunion.

Frankly I was pissed about the whole thing. The way the family members started to kiss up to me ever since learning of my status as heir pissed me off. Their hypocritical smiles as they plotted behind my back pissed me off. Everything pissed me off!

I put a hand over my beating heart and widened my eyes. What the fuck? I'm only 17 in this body yet I feel like I'm about to have a stroke.

Of course this pretty face comes at a price. But God above your price is quite expensive. Never mind that. Over the past three days family members have come in and out of my room to congratulate me. During that time I have deduced my formal does and allies.

One. My allies are only Aunt Clara and The young lawyer Uncle Max. They were the only ones to genuinely express their feelings of felicitations to me. Everyone else was a foe.

Two. My main foes are my father, mother, and brothers. Particularly Kaden. I can never shake off his glare the day of our family reunion. In order to win this "competition" of sorts I must be willing to sacrifice everything. I can not attend this with a half-award resolve. There must be a reason that the old geezer named the owner of this body as the heir. There must be something that he had seen in her that others have not.

Or he's just a psycho asshole who just wants to watch his children reach the point of killing each other from his grave.

Either way I must be attentive and notice every single little detail. Books were scattered everywhere. On my bed, the floor and even in the closet room.

After all my studying I have isolated few games that I believe can be manipulated into a form of challenges. If this was a game to determine an heir they must be skill based as well as finance related. I smiled. I can't believe that my 9-5 accounting shit of a job has actually become of use to me.

I walked over to the mirror and backed away in fear.

Jesus!

Due to my lack of sleep and nights spent studying about folk games and poems my face was a mess. The usual moistures skin was now as greasy as my limp hair. Mascara and makeup were smeared creating a botched raccoon look. Before anything I need to take a shower right fucking now.

After my shower I dried my hair and dressed in an elegant red-laced, short dress. I then applied makeup that looked natural and put on elbow-high black gloves. Finishing it off with a feather headband.

This bitch is now ready to cut down some motherfuckers! I looked at my watch and waited as the seconds ticked by.

Suddenly my door slammed open as Layla came in with a letter.

"Miss Macy, the first challenge is here!"

I smiled. Let the fun begin.

............................

I shook with excitement with every added word of the challenge. I have prepared for this exact outcome. I nodded as I read the challenge. It was a perfect introduction to this game of brains anyways.

The first challenge is a sort of parody of the typical "rock-paper-scissors" but with added conditions and risks.

That is expected. Business deals carry the same weight. But that's what makes them so appealing. The risk of losing shares with the overwhelming greed of more money. That was what attracted me to the Business world after all.

As the "heir", I was given a certain handicap over the other family members. Throughout the whole game I must use only rock, while other family members may alternate between the three choices. I slapped my forehead.

Rock has got to be the shittiest choice. Wait a second. Statistically speaking in every round of rock-paper-scissors there is always a 33% chance of winning. I am not necessarily handicapped but the old geezer just wanted it to seem that way.

How interesting. He was more shrewd than I thought. Apart from the risk of losing my spot as "heir", the loser of the round must write an "IOU" to the winner of one request they have. It can be anything but must be legal. So no sex, drugs, embezzlement or the sort. Another condition of the game is that family members could form "teams" and appoint one person for each round. I as the "heir" have to participate in every round.

I scratched my newly washed hair in annoyance. This was quite the challenge. But it allows family members to test the waters. I looked at Layla and scoffed at the "good luck" written at the end of the letter.

Luck my ass. This was purely a challenge of brains. I cracked my knuckles and started to walk towards the same room of the previous family reunion. I felt my heart pound against my chest wishing to escape.

This was thrilling and frankly exciting. In order to win this game there is only one one thing I must do.

I opened the large doors and faced all of the wolves which stated back at me. Their mouths salivating as they thought of how to devour me. My father walked up to me and claimed.

"Macy, who are you going to team up with?"

I looked at all of the family members and laughed bitterly. Looking back at Uncle Max I stated.

"I Macy Kiehl's will form my own team. I will take on all of you bitches. So why don't you all form one team against me? I am the "heir" after all."

My father burst into laughter as did all of the other family members.

"Macy, don't you think that all of us against you puts you at a disadvantage?"

I smirked and looked up at my father.

"Father, I can assure you that the only ones at a disadvantage are all of you. Also, why don't we make this dull challenge a little more exciting with a bet?"

My father raised his eyebrow and inquired in disbelief.

"A bet?"

"Yes father, a bet."

"I don't know what's gotten into you lately Macy, but I'll agree since you're going to lose anyway."

Well he wasn't wrong there. Mentally I'm a 22 year old ruthless accountant, not his sweet innocent 17-year-old daughter.

I put my hands on my hips and pointed at my brother Kaden.

"If I win this challenge I want Kaden to forfeit his position in this competition for "heir"."

Kaden looked at me and snickered. My father chuckled as he answered indifferently.

"Sure, Macy."

"Don't forget your promise later on, father."

I sat down on the chair at the far end of the table with my legs on the table. I threw a stick of gum in my mouth.

"Now who is my first opponent?"
