Chapter 1: Wait For Me....Okay?

The minds of those without things such as love, work differently.

Children normally consider their actions and the effects that they have on the ones that they love.

Children without love or warmth develop a mechanism to protect themselves from what they are lacking.

Why am I not good enough?

Why me?

Why?

Their questions seem to always start with why. At such young ages, the only thing that they desire is answers. They want to know who they are, Who their parents are, Their story."

"Why did I end up here?

Why hasn't my family come to look for me.

Thus growing resentful when the questions are left stagnant.

Hoyeon and Soyeon, Two individuals who are more alike than unlike...Twins.

Only 1 month after they were brought into this cruel world they were dumped in the Neverland Orphanage. The mysterious lady who brought them was said to be as beautiful as the night sky. Her presence, though tightly hidden, was compared to that of a Noble.

Every night, just before bed, Madam Su an elderly lady of the house, would share the story of when they first met.

"Your mother was as beautiful as a goddess. When she placed you two in my arms...I could feel the love that she held for you. Her reluctance spoke louder than her cruel words. At least she gave you such wonderful names before she left."

What Madam Su couldn't tell them was that there was a note that mother left for them, they were far too young to comprehend it at the time.

Madam Su grew quite fond of the two energy-filled girls. Spoiling them with whatever she earned and making sure that they learned well at school.

"It would be such a shame if you two end up like me when I was your age. I was not allowed to learn. Women of my class were taught to be good wives. You now grow up in a world where everyone is given the chance to reach the skies, Learn well."

Taking the advice of the wise mother-like figure, Hoyeon and Soyeon grew to appreciate learning but this was where their differences started to show...

Though she learnt well and never missed a session, she still was very slow in many areas. If not for the Logical thinking of her younger sister...She would have met ruins so much sooner.

1 day before the arrest

16 year old Hoyeon sat anxiously in the breakroom of a 'competition'

It was for the famous show

"Broken Barriers"

This educational program was known for bringing up many celebrities' in their district. Though they were not A listers, they still had some influence!

This was HER chance to shine!

She was going to win the competition AND prove to her parents that abandoning her was a huge mistake.

The empty hallway was now filled with hundreds of students from other schools. Nervously they practiced questions and refreshed their minds.

"Hoyeon!" One of her many friends called to her "is Madam Su coming? Why isn't she here?"

Why would Ms. Su need to be here-

Looking around, Most of the students were accompanied by their parents...Even her friends had someone.

But that was fine... it really was..

Who needed parents anyway?

She had reminded Ms. Su many times but- she had to remember that Madam Su was still the head of the orphanage...There were real problems to face there...

"Are you Su Hoyeon?"

A polished lady inquired.

"Yes!...I mean that would me"

"Follow me."

It is time! My dreams are about to come true!

For about 8 minutes, the two walked further into the large building.

"The stage sure is further than I thought."

Hoyeon joked to break the ice.

Finally they arrived at a creepy area.

Many broken chairs and vases were kept there.

Hoyeon felt extremely uneasy with the setting. Why was she not on the stage?

"I apologize"

The polished lady respectfully bowed at Her.

CRACK!!...

The pieces of broken plank rained onto the concrete floor.

Hoyeon fell almost lifeless, Blood seeping out of her head and creating pools around her.

"Please save me.."

Helplessly she cried out to the lady.

CLICK...CLACK...

The soles of someone's shoes caught her attention. From behind her strode a lanky figure.

"You will do perfectly."

The palm of his right hand held the other half of the broken plank.

"Please save me...."

She was quite pitiful indeed. Here was was...asking for help from the persons who harmed her.

"I beg-"

The life that she held onto left.

"I will carry her to the car, clean up this mess"

"Yes boss."

Was this the universe telling her that she was reaching to far?

Hoyeon, woke up just as confused as she went down.

The blinding white ceiling welcomed her coldheartedly. Instantly, the pungent hospital smell fully awoke her senses.

"Glad to have you back with us Ms. Su."

A commonly dressed man with a notepad viciously spat.

"Who are you?"

"I am Chief Officer.....Blah Blah I am investigating you as a suspect for the Nametag Murder"

"MURDER?!"

"Don't act surprised, The witnesses have already confessed and provided evidence. Admit that you are guilty"

Was this a dream nono not a dream, Nightmare?

..

"I really have no connections to the nametag murder...." She pleaded with fear evident in her voice.

"Then where were you on the Fifteenth of November 2021?"

"I was attending the broken barriers competition... You can ask my friends and -"

"We have already investigated, Your friends confessed to never seeing you, the competition also confessed to not seeing you as well."

"What- that is impossible.. I went through every exam to get to that point...THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE!"

"Give up the victim act, I told you already, I have evidence against you."

"How about my sister and Madam Su."

"We have them detained under the suspicion of being an accomplice. It seems as if you all rehearsed your verse before you committed the crime"

"NO! we are innocent. I really was at the competition and was dragged away by a lady-"

"What was her name?"

"I- I. She never said. She only said to follow her....Then she led me to a dark room and that is all that I remember..."

"When you have recovered you will be taken into custody. Enjoy this bit of freedom."

Murderer?

She was no murder....

NO!

Two fully armed and uniformed officers entered as the Police Chief exited, making sure to guard the door carefully.

Before them was the most wanted criminal... The Nametag Murderer.
