42 Finishing Introductions

Adam decided that he'd summon the Sword Maiden next. She was a cute kind-hearted woman who went through some traumatic experiences, she deserved to be summoned. He pressed her portrait and another golden light appeared in the middle of the room.

A beautiful woman with blond hair almost touching the floor stepped through the light which made her look like a majestic angel. Her eyes were blindfolded and she wore an all-white priestess uniform. She didn't recognize this place.

"Where am I, did I get lost again?" She asked. Adam took some time to explain about this world. Once he finished talking about how the threat of goblins were non-existent in this world, she started to break out in tears. Adam did his best to comfort her but she pushed him away slightly.

"I'm crying out of happiness not sadness, there isn't a reason to comfort me." The Sword Maiden said. She soon calmed herself down and allowed him to continue. He said that she came here through the summons and would fight and become stronger. At this mention, her face darkened. Seeing this, Adam made a compromise.

"Instead of fighting, how about you perform healing spells for me to copy before starting a mission." He said. She became more visibly happy after hearing this. Adam knew that she was sick and tired of fighting so he made an exception for her. It's not like the other girls wouldn't want to fight anyway so there wasn't a need to make other exceptions.

"Is there anything else I can call you other than Sword Maiden?" Adam asked. She took a second to think.

Adam felt alarm bells ring in his head, this didn't occur in the game at all, she was supposed to be at her prime in the war. On second inspection, this Grayfia had no signs of age, a contrast to the Grayfia in this world who had small wrinkles and signs of age. Her armor was exactly the same as when she in summoned in the game.

"Anna I need your help!" Adam snapped himself out of his thoughts and shouted for Anna. He heard many footsteps on the stairs and his door burst open. All of the girls were present at the front door. Anna smelt the thick scent of blood in the air and came to the source. She kneeled over Grayfia and a bright white light shone, after it receded Grayfia was left there, no longer breathing heavily but was still covered in blood. He gave a brief overview of the situation.

"She'll be fine for now but she'll need to rest for a day or so." Anna reported. Adam sighed in relief.

"May I ask you girls to carry her to the bath and clean her?" He asked. Anna smirked.

"You don't want to come in with us?" She teased again.

"Is everyone else alright with that?" He called her bluff. Everyone eyed the 3 new girls.
