5 Ch 5 Dinner and bed

Talking to Yennefer until the stew was ready. Vyr quickly gets four bowls and spoons out and carries the pot of stew and utensils to the next room where the crowd has considerably lessened. Vyr claims a table and sets the pot down then lays out four places to eat the stew at.

Yennefer gives her a weird look and asks "who is the fourth bowl for?"

(Vyr)"when i first got here i sat on a wall. Geralt and another man worried about me and tried to help me when I fell. though i did fall on purpose they both still worried about me. So i wanted to give him a bowl as a thank you."

Yennefer suddenly hugged Vyr as she walked by and said "Aww that so sweet of you"

Vyr struggled to get free but when she couldn't she just gave up until Yennefer let go.

Straightening her now messed up hair with a slight blush on her face, Vyr didn't say anything to Yennefer as she opened the pot of stew to ladle some into the bowls. After she opened the pot almost every head in the room turned to see what smelt so good. Even those near what was left of the animals turned to see what the smell was. Upon seeing this Vyr glared threateningly at the people as if saying try and get some and i'll end you. (A/N She did not say that out loud.)

Geralt and the other Witchers walked over, drawn by the good smell. Vyr seeing this quickly ladle out four bowls forth and closed the pot. Geralt took a seat next to Yennefer, while Vyr set the Bowls around the table. The others saw her sit down ignoring them, so Vesemir grabbed a bowl from a nearby table and went to get some stew for himself. When Vyr saw him reach for the pot she said "if anyone touches that stew without me letting them and i'll make sure they end up in the next one"

Vesemir looks at her and sees she is serious, remembering the things Geralt described about her abilities decided it wasn't worth it to anger her. Pulling his hand back he looked away from Vyr before seeing the bowl of stew laid out with a spoon next to it next to her on the table. He made to sit when Vyr once again spoke "that aint for you either, old man."

Vesemir at her angrily and says "well if it aint for me who is it fer then"

"It's for that man" Vyr says, pointing at Lambert while saying " I made it as an apology for scaring him when I fell from the wall. Since it looked like I worried him, I set him aside some."

Lambert looked surprised then thanked her after seeing Geralt nod and took his seat.

Vesemir look even more mad while, Eskel understanding Vyr was mad about the mission she was given but still a good child since she apologies to Lambert, who admittedly could be an ass, just gave a sad smile while shaking his head saying "alright i'm going to look after the other children then."

Vyr seeing this felt a little guilty because he was caught in the crossfire of her petty fight with Vesemir and thought 'urgh, im sorry Eskel i'll make it up to you later'.

Yennefer just smiled and took a bite of the stew while watching this playout before saying with surprise "it's good?" thinking to herself 'it looked like she knew what she was doing but to think a child could make something this good.!'

Geralt catching what she said also began to eat while nodding to himself.

Lambert seeing everyone ignore vesemir and eating followed along before saying " hey! This is good! What'd you put in this? I didn't think we had anything this good in that dusty old kitchen."

Vesemir stormed off toward Eskel when everyone started ignoring him.

Vyr looking up from her bowl hearing what Lambert says swallows before saying " oh you didn't i grabbed most of this outside while walking back with geralt. I think it was some wild potatoes, garlic, onion and onion greens, a couple of handfuls of safe to eat mushrooms, and some other smaller things. Oh and the meat is griffin thigh meat!"

Lambert and Yennefer freeze up for a bit before Geralt tells Yennefer "Hurry up and throw up we still have some time"

(Vyr)"Oi! what are you saying that for, i made sure the mushrooms were safe. There isn't anything wrong with my stew!"

(Lambert)"it ain't the mushrooms, Griffin meat is toxic to normal people!"

Vyr gives him a look while saying "no shit sherlock, I know that. That's why I took the poison out."

Everyone stops and looks at her before Geralt asks " you can do that?"

"Of course you can. Hell you are the one who gave me a potion made for that exact purpose." vyr says taking out the white honey potion from her belt case.

Geralt nods then says "I gave you that after you prepped the meat, so what did you use?"

"Y'all had some honey in pots so I mixed it with honeysuckle and a few other things before coating the cut up meat in it. That's why the meat is a little sweet, just in case i also mixed the stuff with the stew and taste tested it before serving it."

The three seemed to calm down and went back to eating but not long after Vyr asked "hey Geralt i assume you told them about my abilities right?"

Seeing him nod she continues "good then i can show another" before waving a hand and a wooden pitcher appears in front of her. While the others are staring in surprise she pours out some of the liquid into a cup. When the liquid falls into the cup it hisses and pops a bit. Vyr not minding this takes a swig before saying "Ahhhh, man this stuff still tastes great. Yall want some?"

Lambert quickly shakes his head no while both Geralt and Yennefer nod each for their own reasons. Vyr seeing this shrugs and pours out two more glasses of the drink. Geralt checks where the white honey is and takes a drink while Lambert and Yennefer watch. Geralt's eyes open wide when the drink enters his mouth and he reaches for the potion but stops when he tastes the drink. It was sweet, cold, and wherever the liquid went it made his tongue tingle. Yennefer seeing Geralt not having a bad reaction takes a cautionary sip. Her eyes go wide before she hurries and starts to drink more.

Lambert looks at vyr with a questioning gaze, and she just pours him a glass in response. While Lambert is having his own little adventure with the drink, Geralt looks at Vyr who is helping herself to a second bowl and asks "What is this, some kind of potion?"

Laughing she responds "no not really. Though if you wanted to recreate it it might have to be. It's called Soda and comes in many different kinds. The one you just had is the most popular kind called cola." (A/N it coca cola for those of you who can't figure it out. Also what Vyr is about to explain is just some BS so she can hide the System. And for those who want to know the two liter of coca cola cost her 10 shop points(most food cost this amount, though it is cheaper and more efficient to cook ingredients herself then buy the finished product))

Yennefer uses this point to say "how did you take it out of nowhere? Can you use space magic?"

(Vyr)"Kinda but not really. This is a magic inherent in the more powerful variants/breeds of my species. And using it has a price and its limits."

(Geralt)"and where are you on that scale?"

(Vyr)*grining*"The TOP. like how you have archgriffins, my designation is progenitor. I'm the most powerful type of my race. The reason I'm weak right now is because I'm young. See my race is ageless, meaning we won't die of old age and as long as we train we only get stronger with age like a snowball into an avalanche."

Yennefer, caring more about the magic asks "you said it has limits, what are they? If you don't mind sharing that is."

Vyr just shrugs and says "I don't mind, like I told Geralt I plan to stay and become a witcher. I'd rather just explain than have to hide who I am, especially with people I like. The limit is an energy-like thing I call points. I get these points by doing certain things, an example would be me absorbing the griffin. It is one of the reasons absorbing things are so inefficient. Part of the usable energy from the griffin turns into points, which I can then use to make things I want. Do you understand?"

Yennefer nods and asks "are there any limits beside that?"

"Yeah a couple, like i have to have a general idea of what i want and it is cheaper to say buy ingredients and cook than to just buy food. Certain things have more value than others as well. That pitcher of soda cost me 10 points. I can even make things when I don't know what they are, but it costs more. Like say i wanted a basic swallow potion right now it costs 100 points but if I know what's in it it would be less, probably around 50 to 60 points. But even better if I make it myself and only use points for the ingredients it would, depending on the amount and rarity of the ingredients probably cost 20 to 30 points.the cool thing is i can even make books about stuff i dont know but those cost a stupid amount of points. The book for swallow alone is 300 points for example, this price will go down the more I know about swallow. Even little things like color can change price. "

(Lambert)" you're lying, if what you are saying is true. I find it hard to believe, we have no record of your race."

"You are assuming witchers know everything. Let me ask you when did monsters and magic start appearing?"

(Yennefer)"That's easy when the …! NO! You're not saying ..." Vyr just quietly smiles and nods at her while eating.

When Yennefer goes quiet Geralt asks her what's wrong and she says "oh Geralt! Can't you see? She is from another "world". Magic was created when two dimensions/worlds collided."

Geralt just makes an enlightened face before going back to eating. While lambert thinks for a bit before shaking his head and returning to the stew and drink as well.

(Vyr)"I'm surprised at how nonchalant y'all are at that."

Geralt looks up and says "I already knew you were weird, it doesn't really matter if you are from another world." Lambert gives a grunt of agreement without stopping eating.

The four continue to finish off the food while making small talk about different things until Vesemir comes back and announces "Alright youngun's. We will now be splitting you up into groups of four. These groups will be your roommates so try to get along, you will be together for years to come." After saying this the children start grouping up with their friends making the process a little easier.

After almost all the children have been grouped Vesemir brings the three leftover boys towards Vyr and says *smiling* "Lass these three will be your roommates"

Looking over the three Vyr sees the noble boy who complained about her, a boy who will surely grow to be a heartbreakingly handsome man{Joshua},and a tall, well built boy who reminded her of Simon from the anime fairy tail. While staring at the three she says "Whatever you say old man but if they try anything perverted. I will end them. That ain't a threat, it's a promise."

Vesemir looks at geralt who is laughing quietly and says *Sigh*"If they do at least make it quick for them."

Vyr nods to him and holds her hand out to shake hands with her new roommate while saying "I'm Vyr BloodLotus, i hope we can get along.'' The handsome boy shakes her hand and says "Im joshua, but people call me josh. I hope this will be the start of a long friendship." seeing this she nods and extends her hand to the well built boy who blushes a little before taking it and saying "N-n-names T-trey. I-i-i hope we can get along" Not expecting the boy to be bashful as he looked the strong silent type Vyr smiled at him before extending her hand to the noble boy. The boy looked at her disgusted and nearly shouted "I am the fourth son of the noble Whitmore house in Deavon. I am Adar Whitmore so you should know your place monster!)

Vyr seeing the way he looked at her Vyr didn't even waste brain cells listening to him and while he was talking turned to Josh and said " hey you're the boy who first noticed me on the walls aren't you?"

Josh looks at Adar now angry at being ignored by someone lower than him (at least in his mind) then smiles at Vyr and says " I don't know about being first but yeah I did see you up there. You waved to me and told me to be quiet."

Vesemir interrupts them saying "you will have plenty of time to get acquainted later. I'll take you to your room."

Vyr waves by to Geralt and Yennefer before following Vesemir. Who leads them out of the dining hall and to the north wall/cliff (A/N if you walk to the north from the dining hall in the witcher 3 you should be able to find where I'm describing. The North "Wall" in this area does not protrude from the ground really since there is just a straight drop below it.)where what looks like a small shed rests against the north wall of the dinning hall.

The shed that is supposed to serve as their room has two bunk beds and a small nightstand to hold a candle on. The area around the shed is different on the other hand. There were no other children staying in the area so the four had it to themselves. The area had a wide yard and a small area surrounded by the walls of the dinning hall and a guard(?) tower. In the small area a great tree grew on its own. To the north they had a perfect view of the lake and surrounding forest. If you knew where to look you could make out the tower where Vyr hunted the griffin was at.

Upon seeing the place they were supposed to stay, Adar started complaining to vesemir. Vyr and the other two boys just went inside where Vyr said "I want the top bunk."

Josh and Trey looked at each other and shrugged before choosing a bed for themselves as well. Josh took the other top bunk while Trey took the bed under Vyr.

Vyr thought for a bit before walking outside to where Vesemir looked as if he was about to beat Adar was. Seeing Vyr walk up Vesemir looked up and asked "what have you come to complain too? This ain't no fancy in. you get what you get unless you want to sleep outside."

(Vyr)"Noted I might do that from time to time. But for now, are we allowed to modify our rooms?"

"Aye, i suppos' if yer wantin' to decorate it or something you can."

Seeing vesemir agree Vyr nodded and walked off before coming back shortly with a wood saw.

Vesemir continued to argue with Adar until he heard a sawing sound from the shed. Then he saw what was left of a bed come flying out of the shed. Cursing to himself he went to see what Vyr had done now. When he looked inside he saw Josh with stars in his eyes and Trey with a wry smile on his face looking at Vyr as she stood on Trey's bed (she took her boots off before getting on his bed) sawing what was left of the top bunk off. The only thing she left was the posts.

Vesemir watched in wonder as she pulled some kind of net out of thin air before screwing in four hooks on the posts and hanging the net in between.

Looking at the net bed she had made, Vyre smiled with pride before using the rest of the points the Griffin gave her to buy two blankets and a pillow. Throwing the bedding on her new bed she turned to vesemir and asked " is that all you need? If so, I'm going to bed."

Vesemir just smiled and walked away after saying "no, I'll send Geralt to wake y'all up in the morning"

Adar looks at the beds and taking a fancy to the net bed and says "good job Peasant! You may have some use after all." while going to take the bed for himself.

Vyr who was stringing her bootlaces to the netting looks at the approaching boy and points to the bed under Josh saying "Fuck off, this bed is mine. We already decided on beds, yours is over there."

Adal was going to protest and use his family's name to get his way, when he saw Vyr take out the knife she used to kill the griffin. He didn't know what scared him more, the blood soaked knife or when she embedded the knife up to the handle in the wooden wall of the room.

Vyr watched as Adal muttered something about her being a monster before walking over and laying in his bed. Vyr and the other boys talked for a bit before heading to bed.

The next day nothing really happened except for Geralt informing Vyr that she had become his disciple which made her chase him for the rest of the day trying to hug him. The only time she succeeded was when she threatened to not make dinner for him and Yennefer. Hearing this, Yennefer threatened Geralt as well so he had to give in and get hugged. She also got an apology from Vesemir after she said she would let him have some of the food she cooks. The last thing that happened that day was she let Eskel choose what she made for dinner as an apology.
