14 CH 14 the greatest mystery and new armor

The concert had ended and everyone was winding down to go to sleep for the night in the hall. Vyr was talking to yang and ruby about how she got away without being found out. While she was doing so she was laying out a futon on the ground as well. She got a few dirty looks at this because everyone else was using sleeping bags.

As they were about to lay down jaune walked by in his onesie and flexed at the girls. Vyr being petty lifted up her hoodie and showed off her abs. Making Jaune both flush and deflate upon seeing her muscles. Ruby seeing Vyr do this in a room full of people tackled her and tried to cover her in their blankets.As they were wrestling Blake came over and started a conversation with Yang.

(Blake)"Are they always like this? Im Blake by the way."

(A/N this has nothing to do with the chapter but when i was writing Blake's lines it auto corrected her lines to "I'm broke by the way". I don't know why this was funny but i thought i'd share.)

(Yang)"Yeah my sisters are like that. Im yang, the red one is ruby, and the blue red one is Vyr."

"Nice to meet you. I wanted to introduce myself to Vyr properly. She said some things that caught my attention and I wasn't able to stay at the time."

"Oh don't worry about something like that. Vyr doesn't care about manners, she curses worse than a sailor." Yang say, while as if to punctuate her sentence Vyr shouts "Fuck!" as she is pinned by ruby who is cheating in their little game. Blake nods at her words and heads back to her little area she set up.

Ruby is pinning Vyr on their futon by wrapping her with the blankets that way she would have to rip them to get out. After tying off the ends of the blanket she lays down on top of her struggling hug pillow.

(Vyr)"Let me out."

(Ruby)"admit i won."

"I admit you cheated."

"I didn't cheat. I won."

"You cheated and you know it"

"I guess you need more time to process my victory. I'll just have to lay here until it sinks in."

"Ruby let me out."

"I won't let you out until you admit i won"

*sigh*"Fine ok. You won, now let me out. It's hot and i can't move."

Ruby grins happily and unties the knots on the blanket. The second Vyr can move she frees herself and hugs ruby, making sure she cant move.

"Vyr let go, I won! This is cheating."

"Well i guess we're both cheaters then. That makes us even."

Vyr keeps ruby pinned with one arm and moves the blanket on top of them with the other. While Ruby is letting off frustrated grunts and muffled screams, Vyr just koala hugs her. Yang watching this grins before blowing out the candle near her. Ruby, seeing no way out now slowly gives up and goes to sleep along with Vyr and Yang.

The next day they got up and got ready for the test later that day. Vyr was questioning life today. The greatest of mysteries had her stumped for answers. She had spent all that morning listening to Norea's iconic lines when she noticed something. Something that changed her views on the entire scene.

(Vyr)"How is that even possible?!"

(Ruby)*Giggling*"I told you i don't know. Why does it bother you so much?"

"Because, it's a freaking pancake. A soft fluffy pancake!"

"So what's the problem? It sounds like a pretty good breakfast."

"It is ! But I saw her SLURP the pancake! How the hell do you slurp cake?! Mine practically disintegrated after the syrup soaked in. But hers, she slurped like ramen noodles. I don't understand~?"

Ruby is laughing at the distraught vyr when Yang walks past saying "you two seem to be having a good morning."

Before Vyr can tell yang about the great ""Mystery of the universe" she discovered, ruby says "Yep, no more talking or getting to know you stuff. Today I can put my training to the test!"

(Yang)"Just remember you're not the only one going through initiation today. If you wanna grow up. You're going to have to meet new people and learn to work together."

"First what does meeting new people have to do with fighting? And second, i don't need people to help me grow. I drink milk!"

(Vyr)"well ruby i hate to rain on your parade but you kinda do have to have people to fight and improve. Grim are pretty much always mindless beasts. I have taught you better, you need to test yourself and surpass your limits to grow stronger. Second the growth she is talking about isn't physical growth. It is mental. It will help you read and determine your opponents style and way of combate before even fighting them. That is, if you meet enough people and gain enough experience. But I do agree on the last part. You are perfect the way you are. You don't need other people to determine your own physical worth. Besides even if you didn't drink milk, the training we do makes sure your body is perfectly healthy. More or less. "

(Yang)"Not quite what i meant. I was talking about teams."

"I don't know. I guess i'll just be on your team." ruby says, looking self conscious and a little anxious.

"Maybe you should try being on someone else's team."

"My dear sister yang, are you implying you don't wish to be on the same team as me!?"

Yang stutters for a moment and before she can speak Vyr says "Don't worry about it Ruby. i'll definitely be on the same team as you. I won't leave you alone, unlike a certain blonde sister we have."

Ruby looks happy and quickly hugs Vyr who is about to take off her shirt to change. Yang looks betrayed and says " i wasn't going to leave her alone. I just thought it would be good for her to break out of her shell."

Ruby freaks out a bit until Vyr hugs her and say "What the!? I dont need to break out of my shell."

While this is happening Wiess is trying to convince Pyrrha that they should be on the same team together. Vyr takes off the hoodie she uses as pajama tops and tosses it into the locker causing a loud bang noise. This attracts the attention of Pyrrha. When she looks over she sees Vyr who is taking her scroll out of her hoodie to see if it broke.

Pyrrha gasps seeing all the scars on Vyr before walking over and asking " i see your no stranger to combat. Would you like to spar sometime?"

(Vyr)"Uh? Sure?? What brought this on? I don't think I antagonized you?"

"Oh no! I didn't mean it like that! I saw your scars, and could tell you went through some pretty grueling training from your muscles. So I thought we might become friends over a spar."

"HAHAHAHA! I'd be glad to be friends, even without a spar! Though we can still have one if you want. Im Vyr BloodLotus nice to meet you. Who're you by the way?"

Wiess jumped in at this point, quickly trying to make a fool of Vyr for what happened the day before. "You don't know who she is? Just what you'd expect from an uneducated commoner. This is Pyrrha Nikos."

(Pyrrha)"Hello"

(Weiss)"She graduated top of her class at Sanctum."

(Vyr)" Yeah, i don't know what that is. If it's a combat school I graduated from Kaer morhen."

(Weiss)"She won the Mistral regional Tournament 4 years in a row! A New record."

"Yeah, I still don't know. Sounds impressive though. Good on ya Pyrrha!"

(Pyrrha)"Thank you."

(Weiss)"She's on the front of every Pumpkin Pete's marshmallow flakes box!"

"Sorry not a cereal fan. I prefer to cook my own breakfast most days."

Weiss looks like she was about to pass out before storming off. Vyr laughed a bit before introducing Pyrrha to Ruby and Yang.

Pyrrha was in her classic armor from the show, while ruby and yang were in their redesigned armor as well.

Ruby's new armor overlaid her old outfit. Keeping in mind her style of fighting along with her new Hand to hand combat training. Her new outfit consisted of just a pair of arms with gauntlets and shoulders, a chest piece with an armored skirt, and a pair of greaves that only went up to the knees. The entire armor was sectional, overlapped, or scaled. And it was in her red and black colors. The shoulders, back of the heels, and gauntlets had spikes or ridges depending on the area. It was made of thin, light but high defense metal, and was reinforced with titanite to the best of Vyr's abilities.

Yang's new armor was different from ruby's. All of her armor besides the chest piece was overlapping plates for mobility and ease of movement, even the boots had overlapping plates on the front. The chest piece was sectional with an extra layer over the chest and stomach. Hers too were in her signature yellow and reinforced with titanite as much as possible. After all the armor was added she decided to include an overcoat which screamed assassin's creed to Vyr. it even included a hood which had her emblem on the top. The overcoat hung down to the back of her shins and was split into two big pieces,(Like a duster coat or a trench coat.) again for ease of movement.

After Vyr finished getting dressed they all headed outside to the test area.
