9 Sorry dude, I don't do charity

This title, wasn't it a bit too useless. What did it mean by increase effectiveness? Could you be anymore vague, did it mean that the sand he threw in other people's eyes would burn more, or that it would be easier to draw the attention from himself away and sneak attack the person in front. WHAT WAS IT? And whats with that name, even though his fighting style was a little dirty it wasn't that low, bastards, he thought in his heart. He felt like God was playing a joke on him by giving him a title like this, he could do nothing but curse his luck as headed northward. After all was said and done, he still activated the title. Honestly speaking, he didn't feel any different than he felt before.

It seemed like the eight handed iron guild had only left this 1 person behind to act as a guard as he didn't meet anyone till he heard the sounded of heated conversations. It did make sense considering that guys strength but wasn't it depending on luck a bit too much After all, a big guild like that would surely take into consideration all possible outcomes before making a move so it didn't make sense for them to not leave back up for a person guarding that place.

Lin Fang felt confused by the guilds behaviour as he hid behind a tree and entered into stealth to listen in on whats going on, what he saw left him surprised. He wasn't surprised by the large number of solo players and NPC's, he was surprised by the number of guild players who stood opposite them, wasn't that too low. The members of the 8 handed iron guild barely reached half the amount of the solo players. How in hell were they planning on defeating a group twice their size, but looking at their faces, they didn't seem too worried.

Lin Fang looked at the two groups trying to find out the reason for their confidence, as he looked at them for a while, it finally struck him what the problem was. The solo players looked like a group of beggars standing in front of the guild players, who were all wearing a similar type of heavy armour. Getting one or two similar armours possible but getting so many of them, this could only happen if they had cleared a dungeon. A dungeon was a special scenario in the game, unlike the monster's outside who don't re-spawn, the monsters in a dungeon appeared again after it was cleared and the first guild to clear a dungeon was even given a special reward. But clearing a dungeon in the game this early although was a bit surprising it wasn't that hard if you threw in a large number of people, the problem was that the people who entered a dungeon must at least have a class. this meant that all these players...

It wasn't that unusual actually, if a player of a certain guild found an easy way to advance his class, he normally wouldn't spread it on the forums like solo players, he would inform his guild thus taking advantage of the situation. Even the forums were only useful right now for the small stuff, in the future when most of the solo players joined guilds, only that information which would be too big to hide would appear on the forums.

As Lin Fang was thinking about what to do next, a player who looked like the leader of the Guild members walked towards the solo players, he stopped a few metres from them as he started talking in a loud voice,"Guys calm down, we just want an attempt to kill the Greenwood Spirit, if we do fail then you all can have a go, besides..." he continued trying to persuade them.

Some of the solo players had already started snickering and raising a fuss shouting at the guild members for being shameless. Of course everyone wanted to have a go first, what if the other side tried and defeated the Spirit, then wouldn't the treasure go to them. Everyone was here for the treasure and no one wanted to back down.

The player who was trying to persuade them had already stopped talking and was looking at them coldly, even his face had turned black after listening to their words. He harrumphed loudly,"Humph! Some people don't stop at all until they see their own graves. Since you guys don't welcome our kindness then don't blame me."

He drew his sword as the other guild members seeing his actions charged forward. Then a massacre started, the solo players were weak and completely out of sync compared to the well built formation of the 8 Handed Iron Guild. After all not many of the solo players had classes, and none of them were used to fighting together.

The solo players suffered heavy casualties during the battle while the 8 Handed Iron Guild only had a few light injuries. The solo players seeing the situation turn for the worse started escaping, some of them even tried to bypass the formation of the enemy to enter deep into the forest.

But since the members of the guild had decided to kill then why would they leave any survivors who might try to create trouble for them later. They started to chase down the players to kill them.

The symbol above their head had turned red, this meant that they were killing people of the same faction as their own thus, if they died they would have to suffer from an extra penalty.

Seeing this Lin Fang was so happy that he almost cried, this was because their chase had created just the situation Lin Fang wanted, the players had started running in all directions.

How could Lin Fang let such a situation go? Lin Fang could obviously hunt the weaker solo players but he already had a taste of the rewards a stronger player gave. So he couldn't stop himself from trying his luck. He started running after one of the guys who was chasing the solo player. He had heard that the best time for a predator to hunt down its prey was when the prey was about to eat its food as that was the moment when they paid the least attention to their surroundings, and he was about to find out whether that was true or not. He pulled out the long sword chasing after them, the guild member either had a weaker perception than the warrior he killed in the beginning or he was too focused on the solo player to notice Lin Fang, whatever the case Lin Fang maintained a little distance between them just in case.

They hadn't made it far when the solo player tripped and fell to the ground, the distance between the two players was shortened in a flash as the guild member raised his sword to finish of the solo player. Just as he was about to kill the guy below he had a weird feeling in his heart as if something bad was about to happen, but before he could make any move, a sword slashed across his neck as he fell onto the fallen player dead.

The solo player who was ready to die had already closed his eyes. Just when he thought that death had come, he felt something heavy fall in him. He opened his eyes and was nearly scared out of his wits when he saw the dead body of the warrior above him. He was about to move him when someone appeared above them. "Help me",he shouted as he thought that Lin Fang was a solo player just like him, because he wasn't wearing an armour like the others. He was already planning his escape with the other guy when his chest was pierced by the sword. He looked at the emotionless face above him in disbelief.

"W-Why?", he asked in a low voice as he looked at Lin Fang, a pity he never heard the answer as he died before that.

"Sorry dude, I don't do charity" ,Said Lin Fang with an expressionless face as he drew out his sword. The other guy would surely have coughed up blood if he heard his statement. He didn't collect the loot from the two bodies but started running back as he had to take as much advantage of the situation as possible. Right now only the experience points were most important. He came across another player who had luckily escaped from the net, unfortunately he met Lin Fang who made a quick end of him through an ambush.

By the time Lin Fang arrived back at the original position, most of the guild members had already returned. Lin Fang had gained a shocking 120 exp. out of the whole situation. If a normal player heard of this, he would surely be dumbfounded, it had to be known that a strong level 0 monster only gave 10-12 exp. points, while a weaker one gave only around 5-6.

Lin Fang was thinking about leaving as he felt that he had already made the most of the situation when, a player came running out of the woods at a fast pace, when he saw the other players, he looked relieved as he shouted," CAPTAIN! CAPTAIN!"

The guy who had been trying too persuade the solo players walked up to him, seeing the guy so flustered, he knew that something bad must have happened. The guy whispered something into his ear, he listened for a while before his face went completely pale, sweat started to form on his forehead as he turned towards his subordinates," Men" he shouted," quickly, get in formation."

Seeing their leader so agitated they didn't hesitate at all and got into formation. Lin Fang on the other hand who was hidden in the corner found all of this very interesting. Something that could make these men afraid would surely be interesting to watch, he thought as his lips slowly lifted to form an arc.
