25 Quest

A few hours later...

In an area not far from the Greenwood City.

A man with a rabbit sitting on his shoulder ran down the road. His speed surprised many nearby players and NPC's alike as they wondered who he was. This guy was, of course, Lin Fang.

He had planned to practice the fighting techniques for a while only to realize that he needed a certain level in the inner breathing technique to practice most of them. He couldn't help but feel sad and angry at the same time. It was like a massive pot of money was kept in front of his eyes but he was chained to the ground and he couldn't get close to it, he could only see it with his eyes. Thus, this became the reason for Lin Fang's greatest sorrow right now.

It wasn't all bad though, there were two techniques he could practice at his level. The first was the body movement skill, lighting pace. This was one of the most basic movement skills of The Lightning Wind Heaven Technique. It allowed a person to cover a distance of a few meters in less than a second and this was only when hadn't achieved the 1st level. He didn't know what would happen when he does breakthrough but he couldn't help but look forward to it.

The second technique was whirling wraith. Its named sounded very domineering and it really did live up to its name. This was a technique for a curved dagger and the basic idea behind it was to slit the throat of the enemy when the enemy was in the light and the person in the dark.

This technique explained how to hide one's presence better in the surroundings and wait for the correct timing to make your move and slaughter your enemy, something which was very useful for the current Lin Fang. This skill was great for assassination but it wasn't all that good in head to head combat. He still needed to increase the level of the breathing technique which would allow him to use a wider range of attacking skills present in his memories.

When Lin Fang practiced these skills, he saw a great deal of improvement in his skills in a short amount of time. It wasn't because he was a God or some kind of main character. There were two main reasons for his fast practice speed. The first one was that he was a total beginner with no practice at all. Thus, even his low amount of practice allowed him to improve quickly. As it was said, an expert would take years to improve a little bit and a beginner could improve a lot more than that in a few days.

The second reason was that Lin Fang had just gone through an awakening and an awakening with full purple colored eyes at that. His bones had become stronger, his mind sharper, his muscles flexible. His body had gone a qualitative change allowing him to train these skills easily. Of course, all this could only help him in the beginning, in the future he would have to depend on his hard work only.

After a bit of training, he went online to check out the surrounding areas of Greenwood city and find out places of interest. His attention was drawn by a certain dungeon instant, "the ice frosts over the forest".

When he read the backstory of the instant, Lin Fang couldn't help but feel speechless at the laziness of the creators. The Ice frost king, a level 4 boss had been awakened from sleep due to an innocent adventurer who was passing by. Thus, he sprang his 'grand plan' of freezing over the world before taking it over. It was now the job of the players to stop his advance.

Stop his advance your father, couldn't these guys come up with something better than a random awakening and hatching a takeover the world plan, he thought in his heart.

Originally he didn't know how to gain experience points quickly but after going through the tutorials, he had found a very easy way to level up. According to the tutorials, he could get various quests from the bosses of these dungeons to earn experience.

Lin Fang found this method more stable than randomly killing passerby's to earn experience. He had also found a method to enter the city without coming into the guards view and getting caught. Lin Fang was really surprised by the wide variety of information that was available in the tutorial, almost as if it had been designed to help someone cheat. Well nothing to do with me, he thought in his heart. He was happy to have gotten this much help, the creators were not true savages after all.

Thus, Lin Fang quickly logged back into the game to leave for the location. He came back in the same cave only to find his body in its peak state once again. Even though his body had gotten its strength back, the transformation ability had turned grey meaning that he wouldn't be able to use it for the time being.

He looked at the Greenwood Spirit guarding him as he shouted, "Come on little Rabbit, we got work to do."

Lin Fang had decided the Greenwood Spirit was a terrible name for his cute little pet cum subordinate so he decided to call it little rabbit for now. Of course, 'Little Rabbit' had something to say about this change of names but his viewpoint was conveniently ignored.

Sometime later...

Lin Fang ran down the coiling forest roads as he followed the map in his mind towards the location of the Ice frost instance. He had been practicing the 'Lightning Pace' technique the whole way, not only improving his own usage and making it more fluent but also saving time.

On his way, he met many groups of players but he ignored them. Some of the players had reached Level 1 and the game was pushing forward quickly. Things would only turn for the worst after level 5. Levelling was still easier right now but after level 5, it would only be hell on earth when players fought to the death for every single extra experience point.

As he reached the area of the dungeon, he realized that it was crowded by a group of people wearing similar armours and dresses. A guild he thought in his heart. His past experiences with guilds hadn't been that good so he was wondered how this one would go.

Sure enough, he hadn't even been able to reach the entrance of the dungeon before one of them walked to block his path.

"Th-", he started speaking but Lin Fang raised his hand actioning him to stop and rudely cut him off.

"WAIT", he said loudly," Let me guess, your guild has taken over the dungeon and you won't allow me to pass through."

The man seemed surprised by Lin Fang's calm expression as he nodded his head at his words. It was always easier to deal with smart guys he thought in his heart, otherwise, there were some fools in this world who just wouldn't stop until they see their own graves.
