14 The First Team in Cosmic.

Today, for the first ever, a team of five people was present in Cosmic order. If you were a regular person, you might find this land unbearable. However, if you were like them, and you had the cultivation organ, it was a land of opportunity.

There was Tao Lin's three family members, his mom Natalia, Yeoh Lin, and Arden, along with Rosie and Chrissy. The system welcomed them with a surprisingly nice gesture. It was a splendid site to see the most beautiful town in all Cosmic on your first-time logging in. They didn't even have to deal with the flocks, or any surprises. Tao Lin might say; the system clearly favors woman. However, the mom wasn't interested. Not either of the beautiful sunrises, nor the eclectic cityscape interested her.

"So, where should we go?" Natalia held the manual in her hand as she walked. She was wearing an armored overdress with blue sleeves.

"Mom, don't you see that, isn't it beautiful!" Arden pointed.

The identical girls clapped their hands. "I've never seen anything so gorgeous!"

Natalia scoffed. "Hmph, if we were here to stare at the environment, I'd join you all. Come, apparently there is a quest center this way."

Yeoh Lin just scratched his head. "She's already full throttle Arden."

Arden and Yeoh stood right next to each other following their mom. One of them was the youngest cub, Arden, and Yeoh was the middle of the litter. And they both stared at their mom reading frenetically. As far as they were concerned, she would no longer sleep. All together they walked down the road with the sun sprinkling warmth onto their faces. It felt like the hand of an angel was welcoming them.

The twins both smiled when they walked into the town and ran over to check out the pretty displays.

The town, Vercina, had tons of pretty store fronts. And they were all from different times! You could see a Victorian house right next to a 20th century brownstone. However, Natalia didn't notice. She had a mission to accomplish. And then, hopefully, she would be able to reunite with her son.

"Hey mom, look, there is a club hall right there. I think we can make an association if we go in there!"

Natalia flipped through the book and found a page near the end on clubs. She quickly read about it.

"They recommend that for higher rank players. Come on Y & A, let's go."

Arden sighed, "But, mom, we need to have a team! And usually in games there would be a bonus."

Natalia looked puzzled. "Will it make it easier to catch up to Tao?"

Yeoh Lin nodded his head, while Arden followed it up with a smile. "Does that mean we're making a team?"

"Yup, it seems like we have to." She put the manual away in her bag. The girls followed them into the club house as a beautiful smile bloomed on Natalia's face. And this could only mean one thing. Her competitive spirit was 'unlocked'. She slammed her manual on the desk in the quaint lobby. A dainty secretary walked over towards the reception desk.

….

Tao Lin was glad he got to meet Steel, but he wasn't glad where he ended up. Yes, it could have been worse. She could have thrown him back to where he entered the game. Where the high-level flocks roamed, and the dragons were pulled out of the clouds. The system didn't do that.

However, she did put him on a rock floating in the sky. And, to get around, he'd have to jump to another rock and then another rock. There was a floating mountain up a few hundred potentially deadly falls away. He gulped as a terrified feeling swelled up in his gut.

"You've encountered the flock of the eastern sky. Proceed with caution."

Tao Lin wanted to throw down his spear and scream at the sky. 'You're doing this to me on purpose!"

At this moment, Tao had nothing he could do besides run forward. He ran 150 yards per second, or 300 miles per hour. He felt the wind touching against his face as he ascended towards the mountain.

"GRAWK! GRAWK! GRAWK!"

Tao Lin turned around and saw hundreds of birds, a gigantic bevy, diving towards him with pointed arrow beaks. Well, apparently, the system didn't get over its fascination with torturing him.

….

Diana Hong swung her sword at the panther, or at least its shadow. And, the one thing scary thing about it, the monster was so fast!

Diana Hong

Class: Dragon Sweetie.

Vim: 1850/3250

Cultivation: Qi Condensation 3rd Stage

Affinities: Earth (Peak)/ Wind (High)

Slays: 86

Accomplishments: 62

Remarks: You're lucky you're wearing that ring!

Diana watched her Vim dance down to 1500. And then to 1200. Finally, she jumped onto a tree and sprung back from the tension of the taut palm. She darted towards the monster going at least 400 miles an hour. The panther opened its mouth in shock.

"Poof!"

A large damage value, the biggest Diana had ever dealt, screamed out -1600 in a sanguinary ink over the panther's head. She had a feeling the Panther wouldn't have a lot of Vim. If it did, then it would have been impossible to kill!

A red stone flew out of the monster's mouth. Diana bent down to pick it up.

….

"So, did you decide what you were going to name us, mom," Yeoh Lin asked.

Natalia shook her head. "I'm stuck between nine names. I'm going to need one of you to decide."

Arden glanced over at the two girls that were bright like stars. If it was possible for looks to kill, these girls were it! And not in a bad way, but a good pretty way! They were so pretty Arden gulped before he could get a question out of his mouth. It felt unfair that they were so beautiful!

Yeoh Lin pat his brother on his back. "You know they're not going to bite you, A."

He nodded as the two girls tried very hard to decide a name.

"Uhm, Rosie, how about we name it after our first pet?"

"You mean poor Blooming-stockings? That would be a weird name for a group."

"Well, Rosie, then how about after our special place."

"Chrissy, we shouldn't tell them about the name of that place. They might find…"

Natalia interrupted after crossing out eight items. "I have the name," she yelled.
