22 Fandletoe's Challenge.

The Alchemist entered a tomb somewhere in the crimson dungeon, Fandletoe's sandal. It was the first time he ever entered a crimson level dungeon. He'd never had the courage before. But, provided everything went alright, he'd be able to get a pretty radical weapon.

Fandletoe was kind of like a god in Cosmic Order. He had six different dungeons, and each of them were in different parts of cosmic. When you were in the Foundation stage, you pretty much had to clear one of his dungeons to stand a chance at the next one in the Golden core stage. The Alchemist was deciding to push his luck today.

Now, you might find it weird that the creator of the game was doing this. However, he only created part of the game. The rest of it was created in some other way. It was something even he couldn't explain, and he'd probably be pretty upset if it was attempted. Well, at least at this point in the story.

He looked in front of him, there was three different coffins. The room was glowing with sun light from all sides. It was just him and three options.

"You're able to pick a coffin. When you're ready, please proceed to lie in the coffin, and you will be taken to an appropriate challenge."

The system was a lot nicer to the Alchemist then it was to Tao Lin. Maybe it was because he was older. The system sort of had a lot of Chinese values.

The Alchemist walked to and opened up the middle coffin. He didn't want to be one of those people who trusted his right or his left. He was fine being perfectly in the center.

"You've activated Fandletoe's challenge for the item, Sun's Blessing. Please prepare yourself.

….

Tao Lin looked at gorgeous item on the floor. He wanted to pick it up, but he knew he couldn't. He left it lying there with Harrington's corpse. His mom was off challenging herself again. It was very frustrating to be him.

Yup, Natalia put pressure on herself always. If it wasn't stronger than her, well she'd have one of her sons fight it. She was just a little bit away from increasing her cultivation stage. As far as she was concerned, it was all worth it if she could be stronger than her son. It was a duty of every mom to protect her son.

At the time, all the monsters around her and the warlord scratched their heads. They felt enraptured by the ladies moves, and the glow of her pearly white skin.

"So, you must be the captain," Warlord Fin York said. "It'd be pleasant if you died!"

Natalia scoffed, "You'll be the only one dying today!'

Tao Lin was running over to her, he was dreadfully worried about his mom. However, one of the new girls was in quite of a bind.

She was one of the latest to arrive of the bunch. Her name was Amarilla. She wasn't from China, or anywhere he'd ever heard of. And she kind of reminded him of his mom, except worse. She was fighting five Qi-3 monsters at level 2. Fortunately, they weren't boss class. If they were boss class, she'd be beyond dead.

Arden looked over at Chrissy and Rossie who were by his side. They were both infatuating, and their backs were leaning up against his. He felt so delighted to be here right now. He struck the sword of the monster just light enough that he bounced back into Chrissy's back.

"You okay, Arden?"

"I've never been better!" He swung out his blade as a fire whip lashed back the monster. It trailed off into the air leaving a contrail.

"So, Diana. Who do you like out of the guys," Marissa asked. She was another one of the new recruits.

"Uhm, I don't really like anyone. However, look at Tao Lin. Isn't he so strong?"

Marissa just nodded her head. "You're more transparent then you think. You should tell him!"

Diana Hong just stared over at him.

If your wondering what the battle field looked like right now, the sides were pretty even. The warlords were however slightly being pushed back. There were about 300 of them left, and about 250 items and pills left on the ground. It was not a good practice to pick up items during battles. Natalia had been drilling it into their heads.

Natalia swiped out her sword and dished out some major damage. -2000, -4000, - 1000 popped up above the warlord's head. His knees started buckling.

"Mom, look out!" Tao Lin screamed. A large ball of fire was flying towards her.

There were some trench buckets hidden in the forest that they couldn't see. Unfortunately, her mom made a prime target. There was a donut of open space around her.

….

The Alchemist awoke in some place he didn't recognize.

He felt like he was in the real world, and he scratched his head. It kind of reminded him of what Louisiana used to look like. Louisiana was one of the last places swallowed by the floods on earth.

"You're in a simulated environment. Please pick up the katana on your left side."

The Alchemist looked down and realized he was on a picnic bench, and he even noticed some of the landmarks of some of the last organic farms on earth. They looked like these huge windmills. There was hundred of solar powered spinners on its sides, and it looked like a stick of hay shooting up 80 stories. They grew the food on the side of those buildings. It looked odd seeing it inside of the game.

"So, I've heard you're here for the Sun's Blessing."

The Alchemist nodded and drew the blade. It wasn't hard to figure out you were supposed to fight the guy. He was wearing armor and a huge mask on his face.

"So, what's the challenge," The Alchemist said, "Do I just have to beat you, or is it something else."

The man in the armor just spun his sword. "If you can survive for 20 seconds. Consider the prize yours. My names Fandletoe by the way. Nice to meet you."
