9 Dormalla's Right Hand.

Two new pods arrived at the Fortress, and interestingly, they were holding twin sisters. One of them was named Rose, and the other Violet. Apparently, their parents found it cute to name them after flowers.

They looked around for a few minutes trying to see if they could find anything in the fortress. Since the Alchemist wasn't around, they had never gotten sent into Cosmic Order. However, that didn't mean they couldn't find their way into a troubling situation at the base.

There was only one AI on the entire ship, and he had been named the commander. And unless the world was ending, the commander could handle any situation, anytime, anywhere, anything. He looked at the girls through his camera. He was aware of why they were here and deemed it best to lead them through the hallways to their rooms.

"It's so beautiful, Violet!"

"It's really like heaven, Rose!"

"Do you think we'll be able to live here?"

"Well, anything's better than going back there."

"You mean with Uncle?"

"I don't actually have a problem with Uncle. It's more everyone else."

Basically, Violet and Rose grew up on a mountain peak that was tipping right of off a continent. If you went there, the first thing you would notice is the sheer number of little houses built along its sides. It looked like a nest and had a whole lot of people. And a lot of them were crazy.

However, the worst part was that Violet and Rose were beautiful. They looked like two angels from a fairy tale; like the cause of about to happen war. So, because of that, they didn't like to go outside. Moreover, when they were thirteen years old they had been courted by half the town. In these days people wanted to have kinds young, obviously, because of the Haze. If you were only going to live to forty-five, you might as well start early. But, unfortunately, the right guy never came knocking at their door. In fact, no guy ever made it to their door. They were, seriously, declared the towns goddesses, and any man who tried to court them would be evicted from the mountain. Hence, they were still single at the ripening age of twenty-three.

"Hmm, I've never seen a machine like this before Rose. Should we turn it on?"

"Maybe its not a good idea Violet. I don't think we're supposed to be in here."

"Well, what's the worst that could happen. Besides they look so cute."

"You're right Violet. You're always right."

"Well, I am older than you by five minutes, remember. Trust me a little."

So, yeah, the two girls turned on a machine that had a cute little egg in it. They didn't realize what they had done, but The Alchemist would be very upset. In fact, he might be terrified. He had wanted to make a demon beast and left one of the eggs in the incubator. However, the way he set it up it should have taken four years. It was plenty of time for him decide. But, unfortunately, the girls sped that up to an hour. The Alchemist wouldn't be back in time.

….

Back at the Café with the Alchemist

"So, I heard you didn't want to try the machine because of your family," The Alchemist said, "But what if I told you I could change that?"

"What do you mean, Alchemist?

"I mean I have extra room for your kids, I'll pay for you guys, and I'll even protect them from the Haze."

"But I heard that was impossible."

The Alchemist laughed, "Well, I didn't tell anyone. It's only worth it if you're willing to try."

Tao Lin's mom was very skeptical, but somewhat surprised. She had spent her entire life in this restaurant. She had been spitted on, coughed on, and spun through the ringer like she was worth nothing. Now, suddenly, a man she had never met before. Whom, by the way, stole her son from her. This man wanted her to go with him to a Fortress in the sky. Yes, this seemed like a great idea. Take my entire family away so you can kill me now.

Tao Lin's mom glowered at him. "Basically, you want me to uproot, with my family, after I just met you. Do you really think I'm a fool?"

"Hmm, what if I promised you an independent levitation facility. Would that change your mind?"

She immediately gulped. 'Hmm, now he's offering a house in the sky,' she thought.

"Kids!"

….

Diana Hong walked up to the portal as Ginger stared at her.

"So, now that we're friends again I'll give you a tip," Ginger started, "Your going to need to run the second you get in there."

Diana immediately coughed from surprise. "Why, is there anything else you can tell me?"

The Queen leaned in. "I'll let you have the ring beforehand. However, we can't tell her anything else though, right dear?"

"Hmph, mom, I finally make a new friend, and this is what you do?"

Diana looked at the ring.

Shadow Giant's Ring of Eternity.

Diana Hong put the ring on and smiled over at Ginger. "We should really be the best of friends after this is all over." She patted her hand on Gingers back.

"Well, I wouldn't mind, but momma won't let me leave the town. You'd have to come visit me."

"I would do that, if you really wanted me to," Diana said, "As far as I'm concerned, we are already best friends."

The queen laughed and pointed towards a staircase. "Well, you may like my daughter now, but you won't after the challenge. If it wasn't for her speaking up, I would have just given you the ring."

Diana looked up at the winding staircase and saw the portal with two baleful hyenas carved from marble. She had a bad feeling about this, as she should, but still proceeded into the portal. Instantly, she received a message.

"You've received the blessing of Queen Penelope. The map will load in five seconds."

Diana used to have a habit of biting her nails, and it didn't return till right now. She immediately did what Ginger said when the map spawned and ran away.

….

Tao Lin was just a few pills away from reaching Qi-5, or Qi Condensation Stage 5, as he snuck through the dungeon. Unfortunately, he had unknowingly made it into the Sub bosses lair. He only realized it when its health bar showed up in his vision.

Basically, the biggest, and scariest monsters would all have their heath bars over their heads. However, it was his first time in a Sapphire dungeon, and his first time seeing it.

Dormalla's Right hand

Vim: 8000/8000

Comments: He's Dormalla's best friend.

….

The Alchemist shook hands with Tao's mom and finally found out her name. She had a beautiful name, and it kind of rolled out of the mouth. It was only three syllables, but they were all well placed. Melania Lin. And, luckily, she agreed to walk with the Alchemist over to the machine. She brought the kids with her and stared up at the line of cultivation machines on the coast of the drift.

"Mom, are you sure you want to do this," Yeoh Lee asked.

"Yes, Yeoh. But how about I go last. You go first Yeoh, and then Derek you're next."

"But mom! I don't want to leave my girlfriend. She loves me."

The Alchemist scratched his head. "I didn't say that you couldn't visit. Now can we get this thing on the road?"

Yeoh walked into the machine and sighed. 'Well, they always said me and brother are a like."

Hopefully, he would be joining his brother Tao Lin soon.
