Chapter 7: Entry to the new world

Inside one of the offices of Serenity, people were seen to be eagerly waiting for Chaos to open it's gate to everyone. There are still people who are requesting to have their installation done, after all, the world is so big, two days of time is not enough to completely equip the entire population. But the amount of requests coming now has decreased by a huge lot. Most of the major populated areas have been taken care of, now only a few minor populated areas were left to complete. These two days engineers and technicians ran all over the world from their respective Serenity control offices to make sure most of the people will be able to log in Chaos today, except those who could not due to circumstances. Underground of that office many machines were soon and people were sitting in front of the monitors and making sure everything operate totally fine when server goes live. Mr. Wilson is now standing near the entrance of the room from where most of the room is visible.

"All right everyone, we are now T-5 minutes down the line and everything is green, tech team 4 and 5 please get ready to monitor for any unforeseen error so we can patch at at the minimum time possible."

"We'r ready, Mr. Wilson, the channel is being monitored and is in perfect health."

"Good! Are our pioneer team ready?"

"Yes, they r preparing to get connected. Actually, I am a bit jealous, they can explore the world we created while we are stuck here watching people."

"Haha, let the young have fun. We need to hold the house so that they can run. All right Chen, you can start the feed."

"Yes sir!"

Even though many things were reformed to save resources, many old companies, specially those that dealt with internet survived, Amazon kept their dominance on live streaming market with twitch even now, therefore Serenity also has their own twitch page. Now the stream started running.

"Good evening Earth! I am Chen "BrtilleCat" Qian, from PR department, you will see me from now on here hosting the streams on behalf of Serenity, thank you for joining with me today right before the global release of Chaos. As announced yesterday, we will show you the live opening of Chaos and will follow through our pioneer team who will play this game with you guys. The team while playing the game like the rest of the world, will also be responsible for finding out bugs in the system and report to us as we will fix them live. Since Chaos is like reality, we can not afford to close the server and fix everything, so we are using better ways to implement patches to not interrupt your game play."

A man in his 30 wearing a T-shirt with Serenity logo appeared on the screen, From his face his Asian ancestry was clear.

"Also if you think that watching the stream will interrupt your game, don't worry, you can access the stream in the game since we connected the game's social channel with reality. So, you can keep playing and listen to us explaining and showing stuff to you. For those who can not start the game right now, these details might come in handy. Now, we are at T-2 minutes from launch so let us take a look at our pioneer team. They are now ready and have connected their consciousness to the terminal, just like many of you who are waiting for the gates to open. Sending over to Stacy."

"Thanks Chen and hello Earth, this is Stacy Jones from the pioneer team, sorry for having the feed show black screen since we are not connected to the terminal and have not yet made any character, which means our body is not prepared, I can not show you third person view, so please patiently wait. Although while waiting, I'll tell you about the strength distribution in Chaos.

As you know, the universal battle system point is the measurement of your power in Chaos, From 1 BS to 999 BS is the stat stage. Then, from 1000 to 4999 BS is the base stage. From 5000 to 9999 BS is seed stage. 10K to below 50K goes germination stage. 50K to below 1M goes seedling stage. below 5M will be tree stage and after that will be fruit stage. Now, once you hit 10M, you will need to go through a special quest named ascension.

The quest difficulty will depend upon your class, skill, bloodline and soulline quality, there are chances of failure, but just like in other cases, if you are successful, you will gain a special inner ability which will only be unique to you and the less chances you take to success, the better the ability will be. After this, you will begin the process again but this time, you will have a star mark on your level, meaning you are a 1 star elite. Down the line in your journey, you will meet people who have many stars above their status, each star increase will be like a qualitative evolution to your existence, so it will be better if you do not recklessly attack beings who have higher stars than you. Ah! It's almost time, please join in with us with the countdown!"

The stream chat had a huge amount of people talking right now, many asking questions about the game elements, what reality elements will interfere but the moderators who were replying and keeping eye on chat only said they will find out most of the things in game by themselves and it will affect their fun if they are told everything. Now, A timer appeared on screen which counted down from 30 seconds and the chat followed along with it. Just as the timer hit 0, the screen showed bright light, then everything went black, a cut scene started.

The scene showed a black background, from which several spots started shinning, little by little, a galaxy appeared. "Chaos, according to Chinese myth, was the beginning of everything, from there came Yin and Yang, time and space, life and death. Little by little, the creation as we know of was created. Our story starts in the Xilia 7 galaxy, in here four planets are center of four types of civilization thriving in this galaxy. Planet Romala is the epicenter of the ancient civilization, here, people focus of the holy trinity type, they either choose to be tanks like barbarians or shield guards who follow the path of vitality; physical damage dealers swordsman, archer, thief who focus on their stamina; magic practitioners like sages or wizards who follow the path of magic cultivation or healers like druids or priests who focus on their faith in natural elements or on the power of higher beings."

The screen showed a planet in which medieval civilization was shown, they did not spent their life in luxury, most of them lived with harmony with nature and everything they achieved was from raw natural resources.

"Planet Sanuk is the epicenter of the cultivation civilization. They focused on the dao of all things and everything they comprehended was in line with the laws that govern the creation. Here exists people who can act in different roles depending on the situations, even though they have a major dao they focus on, they can comprehend abilities from other dao as well."

Now another planet was shown, here people cultivated to become gods, cultivators flying on the sky, slaying demons and devils and conquering their own destiny.

"Planet Damanik is the epicenter of Magi-tech civilization. Here people use weapons created with technology much advance than other parts of the galaxy. Here you can find cultivators, magus and many different kind of other professions mingling among themselves. This civilization can be said as the integration of all kind of civilization around this galaxy."

The third planet had many high tech stuff. people there also cultivated but they also rode space ship and fought against astral creatures that roamed around the space. This civilization was much more advanced compared to the previous two.

"The final planet, Nakas, is a planet where mutation type abilities prevailed. There is also technology present there, but after experiencing a huge war among the organisations there, the planet needs to rebuild themselves and solve their internal problems, least they become cannon fodders for the other planets in this mutation based civilization."

The last planet shown was devastated in war, countless places became deserts due to heavy fighting, however people took it up to themselves to take care of their future. Here people had genetic mutation and their powers originated from there.

"These planets have their own internal problems due to being major leaders of their own civilization, while they also fight against threat from astral races and other civilization, they must solidify themselves and prepare for much hard future, for the world always changes."

The cut scene ended with people rising up and threats coming down from the sky, the ending showed a great war going to take place.

Now the screen lit up again, countless flames were shown in there, they were inside a hall that had red color and was dimly lighted. In the front, there were creatures that wore back shawl. They did not had any face, only dark skinned hand was shown. They held a book with their hand and were talking to the flames. After some time, the flame left through a door beside the creature and another flame went, and the circle continued. This was the underworld where players first spawn and the green flames were souls. Now it was time for Stacy to start her character creation.
