35 35- Regrets and Secrets

"A new school?" Chris asked confusedly.

"Yes," Merlin nodded.

"May I ask which school is it, Grandpa?" Chris asked.

"Hmm, I'm sure you haven't heard of it, since it's a newly built Academy and that is also sponsored by all of the titan powers of the universe," Merlin said seriously.

"A school-sponsored by all the titan's powers!" Chris exclaimed in shock.

These words could not be taken lightly, this is the titan powers they were talking about, they are beings almost equal to the gods, their words are the law of this world, and this is not just talking about their financial prowess and family connection.

They have individual prowess at the same stage as Merlin, there are also more powerful beings, but it was unknown how many of them were still alive, but since they started moving now and even sponsored a school or maybe an Academy, surely entering this school is like entering a lion's den.

Now there is one more question for this school, what is it for?

Schools have their own specializations such as the Rich Academy, the school Mark and Chris attended, this school specialize in teaching students how to earn money or how to make their money grow, well, the only downside is that no one really takes their teaching seriously since no rich person ever came from this school.

The school that is sponsored by the powerful figures could not possibly be stupid as to become a single specialization school, there are records of some schools having two specializations but those specializations comply with each other, and one thing that made Chris confused is that the superpowers are not the same and they have their own specializations.

There are cultivators and mages, there are also the superpowers from other races such as the known to be alive God, the elf god Pairie.

Chris could not help but turn her head to look at Merlin who was calmly sipping a tree, then immediately she thought everything they have conversed so far, and it was mostly revolving around two topics, Mark and Alter Online.

"Could it be, possibly for the Alter Online?" Chris asked in shock.

"That is correct: Merlin replied with a smile, Chris was not stupid nor an idiot, it just that she was always with Mark who has a higher IQ than anyone else and she gets overshadowed, but Chris was fine with that, she only wants to be beside Mark forever if possible.

"May I ask for more information about the school?" Chris asked.

"Here you go, go and read it with Mark tomorrow, and if possible and you make him agree, you will immediately attend the school a few days later," Merlin said.

"Thank you, grandpa" Chris bowed.

"Good, now tell me, why are you pretending to be a guy?" Merlin asked.

"Well, it all started when we were elementary. and it was April that day, Mark suddenly confessed to me" Chris said.

"He confessed to you!? then?" Merlin asked in surprise.

"Well, Mark said I like you lets go out together and be together forever, and I was shocked to hear his confession that I froze for a long time, I was about to accept his confession but he suddenly yelled Happy April fools and said, did you really expect me to date a guy? he said to me, I wanted to tell him my answer for his confession seriously but Grandpa, I was scared, he had always thought I'm a guy. if I said I was a girl, would he treat me differently? would he avoid me like those girls he avoided in the past? I didn't know what to do and I panicked and I just stuck unto the role of being a guy so I could stay by his side" Chris said as she looked on the ground, not showing her expression of wanting to cry.

"Come cry out your regrets" Merlin suddenly said and patted Chris on the head.

"G-grandpa, I-if only at that time I replied as fast, then maybe this time, we are not just best friends but someone who loved each other, I wanted him not to look at other females and only focus on me, I want him to love me, I want to tell him every day how much I love him, I wish I had the strength to tell him" Chris started crying.

Merlin listened to all of Chris regrets like how a grandfather would do, he felt very nostalgic and remembered some of his past memories from Chris, he also had a love story like that, he regretted that time until now, and he would not want his precious granddaughter to experience the same, but he didn't have to do anything.

Merlin turned his head towards the window and saw not too far away a shadow was standing on top of a tall tower with the moon behind him, Merlin was a sage so he had exceptional eyesight and could see almost anything clear even if it was from another planet but this figure, he could not see his appearance from the dark.

The wind was very strong there and could blow anything off, after all, the building was taller than the atmosphere but this figure doesn't seem to be affected by anything, Merlin didn't say anything and just gave it a nod and continued listening to Chris.

Standing on top of the tall building, Mark looked at Chris who was crying through the window, "It's also my fault for backing out that time, I guess I still have some things that I fear of" Mark said to himself, then turned to Chris, "But I will always wait for you until you tell me the truth" Mark said then his figure vanished like he was being gently blown by the wind.
